Alta Vida - Worst experience in home buying

We booked an apartment in alta vida, Yuga home about 16 months back, in jan 2014. At that time it was already over due.

Even after 16 months now and 7/8 postponements, the apartment is no where near possession. I spoke to their GM, who answered the first few calls and promised to handover the appt by Dec 2014. Few followup mails and 3 new dates later, he stopped responding and we are absolutely not sure when we will get our apartment.

We bought it for our parents to live in peace, who are now living at the constant fear of losing their rental house(the agreement which they are extending every 2 months). They have been going frequently to check the progress of the construction, only to get the same response. Absolute nightmare of a builder, we have fallen prey to.

ShemPark / Yuga Homes Apartment is the worst so-called'premium' residential apartment to live in with your family. Water has been a major issue since 2012. Black murky water with black wiggling crawly creatures in water is a common sight to witness. Upon sending several emails and making numerous calls to the maintenance supervisor and the'President' of the association, no permanent actions have been taken.

There are cases of people bathing with canned water, or not using water at all. There is no one reason given by the concerned people. Every individual changes multiple stories in an instant, which makes no one responsible for the water problems.

Maintenance cost has been increased thrice since, but the deteriorating quality of water, reduction of cleaning staff, unhygienic common areas remain at large. If any authority can and wants to give justice to the landlords or tenants, please approach this case for the sake of health and safety of women and children.

We are one of the customer in yuga homes ltd. All staffs are friendly. In this industry am seeing absoulte professionals, Good quality and good peoples to deal. we have booked in Omr project Alta vida. one of excellent project. With in one and half years .

The project nearing completion. work is going on full swing. They are part of cccl. one of the giants in construction industry

A better home: Yuga Homes

As a customer of Yuga Homes Ltd, I am quite satisfied with them. Though no customer will be fully satisfied but I would rate them 8 out of 10.

Since its a brand CCCL their engineering, quality, designs, prices seems pretty decent.I would definitely recommend them.

All this comment about Yuga being great all is crap. They are building Houses near Canal like Kalpatru. People are not pigs that they expect to settle near Canal!

Just because they build Airports, doesn't mean they will take the same care for your homes. A Location is what defines the genuineness of a builders and Yuga selling homes for 6.5K for slums near canal is not right!

Buying a flat

About he group. The way they plan the project exection and customer care is excellent.

The quality of the project is absoulutely good. very energetic team, good builders we can believe peoples , this group is good. we bought a good home from them, we are planning to book one more flat now. Any body wants a flat pls contact his builders.

This group is constructing Airport and MetroTrains.

They hold very good reputation in the market.

I bought a flat from yuga homes ltd. They have very good technical team and they nice completed my flat on time We found very happy about their quality and professionalism.

This group is a part of cccl india one of the trusted group in south india.

I recemmond this builder to all of my friends. we bought fro 2500 in virugumabakkam now ongoing rate is 6000 per sft. since the quality is good everybody appreciate my house thanks.

Stay Away from Yuga Homes

Stay away from this builder and save your hard earned money. They call themselves part of CCCL, but their team does not have any technical expertise in construction. It is bunch of marketing folks who will promise big but won't not deliver anything. Their first project of significant size - Shem Park is a total failure. All the materials used in construction are of poor quality. Almost all the walls and ceilings have water sepage. None of the amenities work.

The owners have formed a google group and are fighting with the builder. Those who invested in early 2008 lost heavily. Almost all the builders in Chennai reduced the price for existing buyers during the recession, but this builder did not give any discount though the price was reduced by 25-30% for new buyers in 2009. Very unethical builder. Do not get carried away by their marketing, pay a visit to their project and talk to residents there.
