Dishonest, arrogant builder with no ethics

I've booked a flat at SMR Vinay Galaxy, Bangalore. The project is delayed more than 2 years and the response from the management is always "will be complete in one month"

Their Bangalore operations head, Srinivas Reddy is the most corrupt and rude person I've dealt with in my entire life. He mostly threatens the home owners on any questions made about the delay and poor choice of material and options used for the construction. "You do what you can, I'll close the project and leave" is the typical response from Srinivas Reddy for any query you'd have.

The project is suffering from cronic delays. While the management provides you with promises after promises, nothing proceeds further as they had stopped payment to the vendors(for items like lifts etc). They would divert the cash to other projects and not care about the project once they collected about 85% of the money. They ensure that by putting the sale agreement structured in a way to collect most of the money up front.

The rental penalty clause they agree to put on the agreement for delays is another big farce. No buyer had been able to get a penny from SMR towars the rental penalty and they would not agree to discount the rental penalty against the payments.

Overall I regret everyday for dealing with a builder like SMR.
