No one can match bad service of Aircel

This is my true mobile number portability (MNP) experience. I was a satisfied customer of Airtel (yes AIRTEL) an year ago. But they failed to solve some service issues and hence I said goodbye to them. Then moved to BSNL despite some bad experience with their network few years ago. But you know BSNL is BSNL. I once again became one of those endless dissatisfied customers. Then someone suggested Aircel. Oh boy! I can never imagine mobile network can be so bad.


I live in the heart of city (Hebbal, Bangalore) just adjacent to Airport road near Mekri circle. As soon as I enter my house (just 50m away from Airport road) signal goes to zero level. Following my complaint, they arranged a field visit of their technician who reported feeble coverage. I addressed this issue at GOI grievance cell (https://pgportal.gov.in/). They referred the issue to TERM Cell Bangalore (I don't know what it is and whether they really address grievance of the customer).


TERM Cell Bangalore asked Nodal officer, Aircel to report compliance of the grievance. Aircel replied to TERM cell Bangalore in an irresponsible way "We are trying to resolve the issue by installing a repeater subject to the availability of the repeater equipment at our warehouse. Efforts are on to resolve the issue at the earliest"  Weeks after weeks I waited that they will improve the service. Then they chose to ignore my case. With great difficulty those 3 months have completed and I am back with AIRTEL. When I applied for MNP, Aircel didn't even contact me to reconsider my decision to port out. A t last I got rid of Aircel.


PS: I only write reviews when I am extremely happy about something or extremely disappointed.

Crap service, minting money from poor poeple

I am fedup with their service. They r charging rs.1.50 p for a msg.  They would just deduct Rs.30 for caller tunes when I don't have the service.


Now after all struggle I wanted to move to vodafone, aircel is not allowing me to port the number.  This is the second time I have raised a porting request.

I am living in Gandhinagar. I recently buy my new android handset so I want gr8 Internet on that I have already using idea and its vary costly so I tried Aircel and I am currently using its 98 unlimited plan its vary good and aircels network is awesome

Being a serious internet addict, I always haunt on to new ISPs.


I moved to Bangalore- KR Puram(Bethel Nagar area) from Bhubaneswar on February where no Broadband ISP gave any coverage.


My brother in law applied for BSNL Broadband from February and he didn't get it till end of march. I went to BSNL office to inquire why we were not given the broadband yet and the old man who sat in some rusty chair in KR Puram customtakeouter care office gave me a number of someone with the name Mr. Lohit and asked me to call. I called further which that person on the other side gave me another number. I called the another number and that person gave another which was dead. I tried back the person but none of them responded anymore.


I gave up on them.


I shifted to Tata Photon Plus which was the worst of my life.


Rs 750 to recharge- Till you are in FUP(Fair Usage Policy) it is good, once you are done with that you don't have to travel to hell after death cuz it comes to you. It disconnected 10 times in like 3 minutes. Speed was not even 155 KBPS which was promised.


I was so pissed that I sold it.


It is good for them who does official work and are sure of never crossing the FUP. Also if your company pays for your internet then it is way too good cuz u get 10 GB too which is costly for sMr_customtakeouternts.


I started using my BSNL Odisha SIM recharging Rs 270 which gave me 10GB. It was good but a month later it started disconnecting every now and then like that Photon Plus. Might be because it was roaming SIM. I wanted to get another local BSNL SIM but after I saw my friend using Aircel who seemed Happy I bought Aircel SIM.


Now here's the real story-


I had to use it with Micromax Dongle- so I recharged Rs 128 pack in it. according to which you get 1-2 MBPS speed till 500 MB and then 128 KBPS speed for unlimited usage.


Well 128 KBPS is not slow cuz my BSNL SIM gave me 115 KBPS and I was happy with it plus I needed unlimited services. I came back enjoyed internet- finished up my 500 MB cuz I never was eager for 1 MBPS but 128 KBPS. I downloaded 2 movies and suddenly 6 days later speed went down to 30 KBPS.


I wrote to aircel support of karnataka- Mail ID- care.karnataka@aircel.co.in. They called me next day gave me my complaint number and few days later they said it is because of coverage. Your area do not have proper coverage and we can't do anything about it SORRY.


I was Ok. At least they gave an honest answer. I checked their site


Got info that 128 Pack is for Mobile services and not Dongle. Thought that might be the cause for slower speed. I recharged 198 Pack over 128 Pack. 198 Pack protocol is- Till 1 GB 1-2 Mbps then 128 KBPS Unlimited which was supposed to be the only FUP by the company.


6 days later after happily using it, I got the same problem- it came down to 30 KBPS. I wrote to them again and I got this reply-


We regret the inconvenience caused to you.


This is with reference to your e-mail dated 14/09/2012 expressing your concern regarding the slow data speed. We would like to inform you that we have reviewed your account details and found that you have recharged with Rs.198 3G pack though you were having the Rs.128 3G pack. However as per priority the Rs.128 pack will be applicable for you till its validity completes.


And also be informed that with Rs. 128 pack the initial 500MB will be at speed of 3.6Mbps and after that from 500 MB to 4GB the speed gets decreased to 128Kbps and after 4GB of usage the speed will automatchandru021y decreased to 32Kbps.


With Rs. 198 pack the initial 1GB will be at speed of 3.6Mbps and after that from 1 GB to 5 GB the speed gets decreased to 128Kbps and after 5GB of usage the speed will automatchandru021y reduced to 32Kbps.


After 5 GB of data usage, your speed is decreased to 32 KBPS. I mean what the hell? 2nd FUP?


I have decided to move out of this cheater fraud deceiving services of Aircel.


If you don't have much things to download and if you are sure that 6 GB is enough for you- take Aircel else tell me what else ISPs you got that I can try.


I live in Bethel Nagar where I have called almost all ISPs like Reliance, Hathaway, Sify, Airtel- Only Reliance and Hathaway responded that they don't have coverage but Sify and Airtel didn't respond which might be because they don't have coverage in my area.


I rRajeev_Vermact BSNL but they won't give you connection till you have 5 Kids and a wife all of whom won't let you do Internet anymore.

Recently, I activated a gprs pack and Aircel deducted twice the amount from my account. Aircel customer service gave me 2 lame excuses in 2 days for the wrong and illegal double deduction:


Excuse 1: Yesterday, they insisted that I have dialed the activation code twice.


Excuse 2: Today they told me it got auto-renewed + I also renewed it.


Fact 1: I have not requested the same service twice. I requested once and received only one confirmation sms.


Fact 2: Before dialing the request code, I had confirmed my gprs balance, and their system diplayed ‘no active gprs buckets’. Forget auto-renewal, clearly even no other gprs pack was active.


But they refuse to refund my money. To add to it: After wrongly deducting double amount for gprs service, the gprs itself has not worked in the last 2 days. When it rarely does connect, Aircel times out within 3 minutes. But this too has been a fairly regular problem for over a year. Calling aircel for no connectivity is pointless. They always tell me something is wrong with my device or software or to check back after 2 hours and then 2 more hours and then 2 more...


I had started keeping a very low prepaid balance because every time there is more balance than 30-40 rupees, Aircel finds some untenable excuse to deduct double or sometimes they just sweep away the balance on some completely flawed pretext. They have stolen in other ways earlier too but this was the last straw. So if you need to keep more than loose change in your prepaid balance, get some other service. If you need the phone to make and receive calls, texts and email when you want that too without getting fleeced every time, get some other service. Not aircel.


Aircel probably thinks that the customer won’t notice if they steal small amounts. What kind of company thinks it’ll get away with stealing and lying! Or that they can give lame excuses and that’ll be the end of it. That’s just stupid.


Ok, writing this review is totally paisa vasool satisfaction for the petty cash Aircel stole from me! I should announce it on facebook to ‘protect my gullible friends’ (ha ha ha ;-D) from this lying, stealing company.

I have using aircel 3g for about a month now and I'm so bloody disappointed. its speed is trash, during the day slower than my vodafone 2g. I have actually done speed tests online to prove this fact. if that was not enough, half the time its a pretty tough ordeal just connecting as it looses signal at the drop of a hat.


I rather spend less money and get reliable connectivity on my vodafone 2g than use this more expensive garbage aircel 3g which leaves me high and dry at the worst moments.

Im using Aircel since one year in Mumbai and found that its better then any other company in terms of charges & plans. No incident of cheating at all. Once my money deducted by technical problem but they refund it within 24-hrs.


Even amount of failed online recharge was credited in my A/c in two days. Plans are just awesome. Docomo is also not that much good. Net speed is great as all know.


Last but not the list, you have self-care service by dialling *133#.

Fake data usages

I am using 997 3g plan in my dongle n according to plan my data usages is 10 gb but it always get finish by only 6.80 or 7 GB and if you people saying that data usages option its not perfect then better remove that option n even if its not that perfect  then I must say there is a huge difference between 10 GB AND & 7 GB.


Please stop fooling around your customer.

Online Recharge Fraud

I am writing a strong complaint against Aircel Cellular Limited which has tried to do a potential fraud of INR 1074 by them in the form of failed online recharge in Aircel.


When, What, Where:


On 15th July'12 in Chennai I had tried to recharge for INR 358 twice on the same day and once on 16th Jul'12 for the same amount, total up to INR 1074; all of the same were done using my credit card (XXXXXXX7013)


, I had immediately tried to alert the Aircel team through 198 but in vain, on 18th Jul'12 I had tried to request for an expedition of service no 1-89177387775 (same was raised on 16th July'12).


On 18th July'12 Aircel team raised a ticket on 1-8937309011, for which I had immediately tried to Support them the screen shots on the failed transactions, on 19th July'12 Guru from Aircel had assured me on the service shortly with a new ticket no 1-8945476391 and assured to restore the money at the earliest.


On 23rd July'12 a new service request no was raised by Aircel team 1-8986641845 and assured a refund of 1074; within 7 working days which was due on 31st Of July'12, which is yet; to be resolved. Additionally Aircel team stated the Citi Bank Payment Gateway is refusing to cooperate on the same.


How & Who:


Now I am addressing this to Citi Bank Payment Gateway team & Standard Chartered team to help me support on the same as Aircel is trying to do a potential scam and or fraud.

Chaos system very poorly operated

I opt for Aircel because of iPhone and then my misery started. After I got the phone they took several calls to activate the SIM. After 3 days of calling, the SIM got activated.


Next day, I got a message that "Please make an interim payment because you limit has exceeded".. I had paid Rs 3000 for a year for the data plan. After calling the person he said the payment was not entered into the system. He fixed it and I made one call. After that same thing happened, I am not able to make out going calls now. Nor I have data plan even after paying advance for 1 year.


They have a very poorly managed system and it's a complete chaos.. When the outgoing call doesn't work the voice says "Please call customer care at 9853098530"... but that number doesn't exists.


I had a Vodafone connection and I was complaining against them.. But with Aircel my expectation reached a new low from which Vodafone looks much better..

Aircel in hyderabad has decent network coverage

This is my 4th review on Mouthshut. This time, I would spend some time to congratulate Aircel for their impressive prepaid service here in Hyderabad. When the giant networking competitor Airtel is changing the special packs almost on a weekly basis, aircel attracts new customers and can maintain the existing by providing excellent offers like special vouchers and STD packs. It has a decent network coverage in Gachibowli, Hi-tech city area and the offers goes like this.


It gives you 200 promo talk time on 149 RS recharge and again supports the STD special recharge to bring down the STD call cost to 30 RS, which is quite wonderful. Literally I am making STD calls at the cheapest cost and my monthly bill is around 250 which was 500+when I was using Airtel.


Thanks Aircel for your good service. You are more than just a money maker. Kudos :)

Worst customer service in india

I am using aircel since 2003. They are fraud in billing. The worst in customer service we can use the service  but we cannot expect customer service with them. Floor managers & asst. manager Anand are very worst in service. More than 50 times I called for a single issue and they haven't solved it till now.

Don't ever waste time thinking of AIRCEL. Spend a little more and get some other connection. Only good thing is cheaper plans but everything else(connectivity, customer service etc. is pathetic).


Once my number was barred because of late payment but it remained barred for 4 days even after I made the payment. I raised service request thrice but no use.


Connectivity is very poor too when I make calls from inside my home.

Never go for Aircel while in Pune

I am using Aircel for more than a year now and I am happy that at last I find time to kick this rubbish operator service. No network in my home also most of the times though I am living in Pune main area.


Internet Usage no comments you just activate once and no doubt you will get a message in 2 weeks that your usage is near to complete and then you will realize that when had you used internet .


And then you will call customer care. There also a big big music then someone will pick and once you will ask for the complaint there attitude will change I think in fact the workers working in aircel are not happy with them.


Nd yes don't forget to check your mobile time to time because you will also not know when you had activated friends zone and other bullshits. and a message will come saying amount is deducted and then they will not return the money also only you can ask them to deactivate.


No doubt aircel, you are the worst operator..... Will not suggest anyone ...

This is regarding My mobile no.7503041511, which I am using from last long tenure, since I start using the services of Aircel I start getting problems regarding network for which I logged many-many complaints with customer care.


Few of them are mentioned below:-


1) 1-58067082172) 1-63417769163) 1-69198896614) 1-6940635043 5) 1-69698473926) 1-70052842657) 1-70181006318) 1-69698973929) 1-7018100631


and latest one is 1-8691861467. which was logged on 20th July still no action has been taken.


I am suffering from last 16 months and no action is taken on my complaints even after bringing the same in front of appellate authority. I will never suggest to purchase this type of service and surely switchover to another network if no solution will be given.

Poor Service; Dont buy

Bought an Aircel number 9710535179 last month in Chennai to use it in my data card.(3G speed is very poor like 100kbps & frequent disconnections). Just after using for three days the number got barred. Even after making numerous communication with their Nodal Authority didn't found any resolution. Then they came up with the weird thing that I have to re-submit the documents at their service center(which was 10km away from my house).


Finally, I did & got my connection unbarred. Now after 20 days they barred my number again & don't even response on emails & when contacted over other phone, Those idiots says its a documents related issue. Go to Service center again. If you buy it harassment comes free. ZERO customer support.


Don't buy AIRCEL, if you want peace of mind.

Bad experience with aircel office koramangala

I have been using an Aircel connnection since the last one and a half year with GPRS ( which they have for 98 rs) but almost 2 weeks ago, without my request they have activated 3G and they deducted 163 rs from my account . Then I went to Koramangala Aircel office and there an employ told me within 48 hours, you will get back that money. But I didn't receive even one message. After that, two times I went there.


Actually, they are playing with the customers over there as no one is there for managing.


Very bad.

Aircel is a good service provider specially for gprs. They are providing good customer care services about giving service details. I am using aircel since 2010 and giving priority of its services over other service providers in delhi and ncr. Its network coverage are very good and call quality is excellent. My call never disconnect during call . Its data services are plans are very good. I have found  minus points that 3g services are not available in delhi metro city and in roaming+91 code is not working for calling std calls only 0 is working roaming.

I am a victim of unfair Aircel business policy. I took a aircel SIM to do 3G net over my cell phone. Initially I purchased 1 GB pack and it was amazingly fast so I was over satisfied. After finishing 1 GB data I recharges with Rs 997 to get 10GB data with 3G speed. Unfortunately I did not received any 3G data volume against my recharge. So I registered a complain on 16 may (ref no. 1-8408116563) and they told me they would inform me/resolve it within 3 days.Even after 5 days I did not get any message from them so I called them again. They did not provide me any reason why the problem still not been fixed, instead they are saying to register another complain. but I am sure they will not do anything and I understand they have stolen my 997 rs. So please don't recharge with higher plan by satisfying with low cost plan.


The company is already facing huge problem with 2G scam and their future is not certain so they never bother to take any unfair policy

Avoid Aircel They are Fraud

My balance around of RS23 has been deducted automatically.


when I called the customer care they said I have used and activated some services.


The fact is Due to some reason My cell phone was locked inside locker and only I had the key from evening 6pm to night 10:30pm,


when I checked my cell phone around 10:45pm there were three messages saying that Thankyou for using services and services has been activated.


From that time onward I tried many time to call and convince customer care to return my balance but they are just disconnecting the phone,


none of them even deactivate my service.


when I try 121 the IVR says every thing but doesn't have direct number for customer care,


1>I call to 198 the complaint center, they make excuses like:


server is down call later,


we cant do that dial 121,


U must have used and activated the services,


I asked the to email me the detailed information of my balance deduction.


They even refused that by saying we don't provide such facility.


Aircel is simply fraud
