I had a worst experience couple of times.

They cheat in billing and sms add-on packs.

Customer care support is worst. In last 4 days, I have called them 7 times and all 7 times they said, either server is down or server is having upgarde.

They cannot transfer call to senoir as EPABX is also undr maintainance.

They assured me call be, but never occoured. Now I am writing mail to nodal officer and applette TRAI authority.

Thanks to TRAI that now MNP is available.

I regret the day when I decided to go for tata indicom service. I earlier had Hathway connection and felt that it was pathetic, however changing to tata indicom made me change my views.

I was having a 1 gb connection at my earlier residence and never exceeded my downloads, now at my new location it seems that I exceed my quota(which is now 3 gb every now and then) Please note that I dont download any movies. It is the usual surfing and stuff.

I had opened three service requests at their site, I just checked and found all of them closed without a resolution. This is totally unprofessional behavior.

First time when my bill exceeded he asked me to pay up for now and that they will check into the matter nothing was checked.

Come next bill and again the quota was exceeded due to no apparent reason. I was so irritated that I thought I will call them and ask them to upgrade my connection to unlimited.

I was then on the phone for bloody 40 mins, getting transferred from one person to another. Finally totally frustrated I dropped the call.

I decided to open a service request online for the same. Today when I checked I found all of them marked as closed. I don't even know why and for what fun.

Guys, I really appreciate the brand name tata and that was the reason why I went for them, but now I really regret.

I have a lot of respect for the TATA name and hence went in for a TATA INDICOM WALKY subscription (No.-0265-653-6840) in 2006. Things were okay till 2010 and I was never a defaulter too.

In 2010 I wanted to discontinue with the connection since there wasn't much use of it. They started pestering me with freebies i.e. a connection in which there would be no rental and hence billing will only be for outgoing calls made and internet use.  Hence we continued.

We have been using the above connection only for incoming calls however false bills started coming to us. When we protested, they reduced the amount outstanding to appease us. I refused to pay the balance since we had not made outgoing calls nor made any internet use. But inspite of my requests they keep on piling the bill amount with rental etc. every month. Again now the outstanding is Rs.380/- even though the connection has been disconnected by TATA INDICOM a year ago.

They keep on pestering me with reminder calls for payment and have even threatened (their representative Mr.Shyam from their no, -0265-664-0114) of dire circumstances including Legal Action for this outstanding amount of Rs.380/- for service I have not even availed. I have requested them to collect the instrument from us and close the issue but they are firm that they will realize the payment 'through any mean'.

TATA INDICOM is a cheat and hence I would strongly suggest that folks beware! This is a very Non-Tata like Company.

I had taken photon+ on post paid. It worked for few days suddenly stopped working. When I called support they do not have clear answer. They mention the connection will get activated after 72 hours. It is not clear the unit after working how it can stop working and why customer care cannot re-activate the connection if there is some problem.

It is very strange. When desperately one wants to use this device it will give trouble. It is not really value for money and quality of service.

I use tata photon plus from last one year. I recharge through ichoose - tata indicom server. But I am not able to track amount of data left or usage on my photon id or customer care service providers.

Even on website, I tried to register fresh and even through forgot password link, but failed- never try in future for anyone.

I made online complaint through customer serive - photon website and got reply that within 6 hrs I will recieve call but still no reply...

I tried to call 1800 266 121 or even local 9227012524 several times and call ended within 1 - 2 min - may 10 - 15 times .

Really bulls*it service by tata photon plus - internet....

I have a Tata Photon broadband connection in Mayur vihar Phase -1, Delhi, and will get around 1KBps speed. Google will take atleast 3mins to open completely. Its a pathetic service. When I call customer care they tell some work is going on.

I recommend people not to take tata photon or tataphoton in east Delhi.

Never ever buy any tata walky product you will regret for the rest of your life every month I have to call and get my bill corrected  and they promise you never deliver I was to cancel my three phones they retained me  but the promises they made were not full filled I have stopped paying my bills now

I do not know whom to trust in tata indicom call center I spoke to a  team leader atish kadam where I had called to cancel my accounts he said  he will give me tata to tata free add on worth rs 75 on all my three  phones for lifetime he kept his word on two of my numbers which are  02265343651 and 08326481278 but that too showing as retention for 6  months and on my third phone he himself activated the add on for number  08326481028 where I am billed for the tata to tata calling last month I  paid the bills thinkiing it is an error but now I will not pay my bills  till this problem is rectified .. mr atish kadam also gave me refrence  number like 259646029 for number in goa they gave me   another refrence number  259644729 for the number 6481028 and reference number 259645537 for  number 65343651  on  the day he activated my tata to tata free for life time please check my  account and all the call recording I have been with you guys for many  years but now I wont keep quite , if you dont do what you promised I  will cancel as that will be my only option and this time I want it in  writting

RNA Regency Park, the SECURITY OF THE SOCIETY has been compromised over 5 months, owing to the fact that TATA Indicom has status quo on installation of its mini-phone exchange with over 500 lines.

Apparently, TATA Indicom has signed a deal with the society to install Mini-phone exchange on the premises of the society, for which they have already prepared the infrastructure, conduits and junction boxes at vantage locations, wiring et.al.

Two Months back so me Prem Panicker came to the society and started begging for monthly subscription from the society, inspite of confirming it in writing that the service of installation would be free to the members and no fee would be levied for the monthly subscription.

Its a decision that the Managing committee could not arbitarily take without consulting the members, so TATA Indicom suspended the installation process. The entire infrastructure that they created is languishing.

MORE THAN ANYTHING IT HAS COMPROMISED THE SECURITY OF THIS SOCIETY AND IF ANY UNTOWARD INCIDENT HAPPENS THEN THAT WOULD TANTAMOUNT TO A COGNIZABLE OFFENCE, COMMITTED BY TATA INDICOM.

Rattan Tata should be appraised of this malpractice that his men are carrying out and in the bargain tarnishing TATA trust that has been built over a decade of excellence.

would wait for respective company to respond, failing to which the Society intends to file for damages with consumer court.

just an advice.Society's stop looking at TATA Indicom to provide quality service.

I got tata photon plus in thoraipakkam area of chennai in october-november 2010..initially I was some how happy with the speed as I was using 120 hours per month plan for 882 rs per month(200 rs discount for 12 months)...then I started experiencing the horror named tata..first of all I noticed they will stop showing Time usage 4 days prior to end of  billing cycle and when they finally publish they will ad hidden usage later on so that u will end up paying 300 rs more every month unless u stop using tata last 4 days of the cycle to be on the safe side

It was only 2 months that I sorted out this cheating a new shock came 2 me....I have private torrents and private premium accounts and obviously a 1000 rs plan for only 120 hours a month I would need some downloads to make up for the huge and costly tariff....

The shock was Tata blocked te particular 4 https servers that I use and blocked the speed to a point where they do not go above 7kBps even if the speedtest.net shows 1.5mbps...

They not only stopped there they went on to block all torrents at 11 kBps.....that usually gave me 220kBps early morning with my private torrents with extreme seeds..

The surprising thing is tat they now only allow me to watch online videos (they know I have only 120 hours a month)

I have gone through expert troubleshooting of all kinds an warn all the people going for photon plus that after a while you will get ruined and lose your money, bcz they will definitely block your speed in case you have premium accounts and private torrents and know how to get good speeds...they will fool you with speedtest.net results while FILTERING your downloads...

Finally I can say that I have faced similar issues with Tata in bangalore and north east as well as my friends are facing similar issues in nagpur etc..

better get a dial up but do not go for tata photon plus....it will suck your money while making you a fool in front of everyone ust on the basis of speedtest.net....that can not be truste anymore, Tata has filtering techniques now...

I was using Tata photon 3.1 mbps for almost a year. It started troubling after few months. Very slow speed. What I noticed is they were billing me even when photo was not in use. Online I was checking for usage details & there I saw that during days when it was not in use it shows usage. I complained it. But to no avail. Now they charged me with Rs 2500 whereas my plan was Rs 1100 for 10 GB free usage. Its fraud billing they do. Please stay away from photon or keep checking your usage meter.

Tata people contacted me to deposit the fraudulent billed amount. I asked I am not satisfied with your billing so please correct it 1st only then I'll pay. After a month or so one person called up & says that Tata company is going to file a case & some person amna has taken the communication at your home.

Now wonder guys i've no person named Amna at my home.

Before this incident, earlier I purchase tata post paid no. & they billed that no. under some other plan not in the plan which I choose. And again asking to deposit the money.

Now I've decided not to use any tata no. or use only prepaid nos.

My Tata phone developed problems and I called up TATA telecom call centre on 26th feb, they promised a call back . As there was no response I foloowed up on 3rd March, then again 5th March . Same promise of call back in few hours but no one contacted

I sent an Email to the customer service ID, got a prompt reply promising call back in 6 hours . Same story, no response

Calling their nodal officer - only an automated messaage saying she is busy attending other customers - this continued even after my 15th attempt to call at 11 pm . very busy nodal officer,

Pls do not take a TATA connection believing the big promise of Service Pledge, 24X 7 service etc. Its a fad.

Just bought Tata Photon plus from Bangalore Matikhere circle, 2100/- (did not go for the 1799/- offer). Includes USB Dongle (Huawei EC152), USB extension cord, a good looking cover for the dongle, user manual and warranty card. 5GB free for 1 month. device valid for 6 months. To use the data one has to top-up with any of the top up vouchers within 1 month.

To keep the device within validity period one has to recharge with minimum 250/- before six months of buying and thereafter every six months. Shop Keeper was well behaved and helped as far as possible. We use IISc campus internet. Compared to that its considerably slow. I have attached speed test result from one of our labs using Tata Photon Plus. Practically speaking, gmail and other light sites opens within 3-5 seconds. But sites with heavy contents like java or flash contents takes a lot of time. Let me use it for few days. I shall travel to Kolkata and then to villages.

I shall post updates about those and Customer care of course (hope not needed)! Please follow the replies to get the updates.

I've been using this product for just over 3 weeks and I've suffered a hell out of this piece of bullshit in such a short time its too slow and costly... I can't understand what they charge the users for...

When I bought this product.

I was lured and chanted by the workers to have this device.... and a day after that they were not ready to listen to me even as the connection was bloody hell disconnected for the reasons unstated... It took me a fortune to buy it and another one to handle the sufferings... I visited their office more than a dozen times to get a solution and still they could do nothing. After a fortnight of extortion, they handed me over an old outdated device for temporary use and have not replaced it yet.

Speed is so slow that I, many times, just get frustrated and close the connection...

SOMETIMES I TRY TO RECALL MY PREVIOUS SINS, OR JUST THINK WHAT WRONG I DID TO ANYBODY...

THESE TATA PERSONS SHOULD BE SENT TO JAIL...THIS IS WHAT THEY DESERVE... OTHERWISE THEY WILL SUCK ALL THE 6 LTRS OF BLOOD OUTTA YOUR BODY.GOD please help me out!!!!

I am a " Tata Photon + " user and am totoally not satisfied with the speed that Tata photon + provides in Delhi. After I took the Tata Photon, the first month was working fine and it was upto 1Mbps, I was very happy, after completing One month even Google page also take 1 min to open.

Forget about rediff, yahoo, or any other site. Tata Photon provides good service for a month bec'z if anyone not satisfied with the speed or connectivity within 22days, then we can return. Because of this we will get a good speed & connectivity for one month after that the nightmare starts.

I called Tata Photon Tech support and the person came to my home also. He tells that there is some work going on in this (Vasundra Enclave) area and we will experience some problems for a week or so.

After completing 2 weeks also I am getting a speed of 0.14Mbps (download) and 0.07Mbps (upload), I don't know what to do now. I have lost Rs 2500/- for the device which is a waste. I cant use it now.

I feel Tata Photon + is making money by selling a device of 2500/- and not bothered about the service.

I can say that Tata Photon + broadband speed is really pathetic and slow. I suggest not to take Tata Photon Broadband in Vasandra Enclave, Delhi.

Guys, Don't have the patience to write all the details. Will keep this in short. I bought a Tata-photon plus connection on 15th November, worked well for 3 days and after that it stopped. I was told this is a routine process where in they validate customer's credentials and within 24 hrs. But it gets going again. Today is 2nd January - a month and a half has past and it is still inactive.

Do I need to tell how many times I have personally been to the Kormangangla Office of Tata Indicom? Or how many times I have called at customer care? Or even more, mailed the Nodal officers who are so-called grievance addressable officers. Well I haven't left any stone unturned. But they are a level above in their shady services. They just don't care to follow up or even mend things when customer himself follows up. This is the kind of professionalism that one of the top companies deliver? I don't know why they spend only on marketing of a product and none on the service and customer experience.

There may be some customers who have no problems or complaints but I have had a miserable experience and have decided never to buy any Tata Indicom product. The same I would like to warn people who plan to buy. This is 6th or 7th time I am expressing my disgust on Tata Indicom. I hope this is a final one and after this it's open and shut case - no more patience. I can only  switch to better service provider. Tata indicom services is extremely poor and frustrating. My walky phone is not working since more than 6 months. and they just don't care to resolve the issue. after several follow-up, significant wastage of time I have finally closed the connection.

The service engineer doesn't turn up at all but they are very regular in sending their recovery agent at our door step - for bills without any service by them.

My Tata Indicom Walky connection is not  functional since April '10. I have lodged complaints many a times over  net using my Tata indicom account, over phone. I also visited personally  to Tata Indicom customer center at FC Road, Pune. They informed me that  phone software couldn't be upgraded, so needed a replacement. However  after waiting for more than 6 months, the connection is still not  restored. On the contrary, I get several calls for bill payments.  Recovery agents are sent to my place, but not service engineer ever  cared to make a visit.

I also paid the bills for 3 months because customer service  representative promised to restore connection after payment that is due.  But still phone is not replaced. This has been extremely frustrating  experience for me. And with regret, I have decided to cancel my  connection.

This is my first review at MS and it's for TataPhoton Plus - the wireless broadband service from TTSL [TATA Tele Services Limited]

I took a photon plus wireless broadband connection as a backup device since my primary broadband is BSNL - I am a web professional and a so called "advanced user" of the internet.

Compared to other players in the segment such as Reliance NetConnect, Photon Plus fares well in terms of speed, connection stability and billing. Need to mention that I am using a photon prepaid.

However, if you decide to go for TataPhoton - don't be surprised if you see that you're unable to connect to several well known websites using your TataPhoton+ . To name such a website - godaddy.com

I had interacted with their customer service team on multiple occasions and I find them unprofessional, un-trained and ignorant of their customer's issues. They only understand Yahoo, Google and Facebook - if these are working fine with TataPhoton+ then they're happy and we as customers are supposed to be happy as well.

I had tried to get in touch with their MD, President of Operations, National Service head and even though on their website they "Vow to Wow you" but in reality, they don't care.

Once I had an issue where I was unable to connect to 5 of my own websites - they tried to convince me that my sites were down whereas I kept telling them that those websites are hosted on dedicated servers and are resolving fine through my BSNL wired broadband. Then to my utter surprise, they insisted that they close down the complaint even without resolving my issue. I was SHOCKED with such a behavior from their customer service team

So to sum it up - if you're looking to browse Google, Yahoo and Facebook then go for TataPhoton+ by all means - it would be great for you.

But if you're an advanced user like me, then make sure you call their sales guys and check whether you're able to connect to the websites that you frequently visit for your work even before you pay them a dime.

Also don't expect their customer service team to resolve any of your issues. They know nothing.believe me, absolutely nothing. You'd be frustrated to hell dealing with them.

So now the decision lies with you.

TATA PHOTON IS A CRAP  AND BULLSHIT IN TERMS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND ITS ISP SERVICES. WORST OF ALL WAT THE CLAIM THEY NEVER DELIVER IT ...FROM PAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN USING PHOTON  ..AND BY GOD SPEED IS NOT GONE ABOVE 50 TO 70 KBPS ...DOWNLOAD A 500mb FILE TAKES WHOLE DAY WHERE AS MY FRIEND WHO HAS BSNL EVDO CAN DOWNLOAD 2 gb IN A DAY WITH SPEED UP TO 400 TO 500 .SO MY ADVISE TO ANY ONE IS GIVE "TATA PHOTON " A BIG tata BYE BYE 'IF U WANT A HI SPEED INTERNET CONNECTION  ...BETTER GET WIRE LINE INSTEAD OF WIRELESS...BSNL R THE BEST IN NET SPEED CONNECTIONS....SO PLZ TATA  RISE ABOVE THE GROUND AND LOOK IN UR SOULS..TODAY and plz give quality services in India then we Indian can rise above and be a brodband ready nation .

I had a vsnl account for a very long time since the dial-up days with some e-mail address .@vsnl.com. This is a paid service in these days of free e-mail accounts and not only that, they provide only 5 MB free storage space and you have to buy more space.

They have the most complicated web-site and it will really take Sherlock Holmes to find out how to change the mail box size and switch off services that you don't require.

Above all these, they have mastered the art of fleecing unsuspecting customers. For example, if you have your account renewal due say on 1st January 2011, they will start sending mails 3 months before, i.e on 1st October itself and if you just pay online the account will be instantly renewed from that date and so you loose the 3 months subscription.

Furthermore, they will deduct money for automatically introducing some night free offer and so on, and if you try to deactivate this facility only the entire account gets deactivated. Once it gets deactivated, you cannot receive or send e-mails. It has happened with me and I am yet to receive a response to my e-mail complaint even after several hours.

Tata Indicom is undoubtedly a'chor'(sorry for the language) and one should steer clear of it. It is a shame that such a company has a'Tata' name.

The purchase of the PHOTON pre paid connection was simple and quick. Of course the Sales "boy" did not know the data consumption rate for the TV feature. The customer delight came when it was time to pay. One part can be paid by card but another part of the payment has to be cash.

Why?.........company policy/ we are two different companies/this can only be in cash/the ATM is around the corner !!!!!!!! various reasons by various staff slowly herding together to help each other out ( this behavior is commonly observed among us....no single point of contact dissolves individual responsibility) the increasingly difficult and incessant questioning....:-)......................... Go figure.....

Now time register online to monitor usage......one has to wait for 10 days for the documents to be processed.

Recharge time : Net Banking for some banks is yet to be activated though the option is available on site.

Visit the dealer to recharge but do not forget to carry your Photon number. Also fork out ONLY CASH for recharges. No cards allowed for recharge.

Why?..........company policy !!!!!!!!!

Sahara Mall, Gurgaon at the TATA INDICOM company outlet on the ground floor. To be fair the Manager does try to firefight the issue.

As far as speed is concerned its workable ...........only naive fools believe the ads or the sales chappie anyways.......

BTW net speeds are in Bits as in bps and not Bytes as in GB.
