*After going for 1.5 years with the hopeless DID concept of BSNL- Pimpri( Pune - Maharashtra) I finally applied for BSNL direct landline. DID for your information is a 30-70 partnership of private exchange operators with BSNL, where in BSNL provides cabling to the exchange premises and DID the provides the cabling till the buildings in the society. If anyone having complete information about the construction industry please provide if the builder is to provide cabling to the building and internal flat ones. I assume the society wiring with the builder.
Now basically lets come to the point why I did like to get the direct BSNL landline. As a person what do u assume from DID, I was looking at these points. We dont have to brother about power cuts as the telephone line is not operated on direct power and broadband equipment has to be given power supply from your house when u want to use it. This will be the basic picture for all. Now let me tell u what DID has in place. 8 hours power supply was maintained for the landline, why bcos the landline were routed and the biiling system was in between, 100% required. Now what about the quality of the equipment used. Anyone can guess that cheapest quiepment are to be used if initial establishment cost is to be kept down. This was the case, 4-5 days in a week the equipment commited sicide and hence the landline stopped working. Now the Broadband part. Broadband used DLink router and switch, here also atleast one reset required in a day so that it works y the grace of god till the employee of the exchange arrives. And not to mention here a single employee to handle the exchange. And wat about power supply for the broadband a home UPS that costs Rs 1200 in market.
This power backup server to the extent of 20-30 minutes a day if there was no power failure 10 hours before and 10 mins if there was power failure 10 hours before. And did I mention about the downtimes for the broadband. Oh yes every week it was one whole day 8 hours on dailup as the broadband is down bsoc there is a cable cut or the person is not traceable to rest the equipment. Been frustated for the equipment fault I applied for direct broadband line and the application was accepted after 20 mins argument. Argument for filling in application for landline yes, bcos its a DID and we dont provide direct landlines there. This was the same reason I had to submit my previous landline installed hardly 1 km away in the same BSNL exchange.
After following up with BSNL guys was asked for NOC from DID for the landline. One week waste with the DID to prove him that this was not the best service and we can approach consumer court against him. Finally the landline was released and without checking the landline I applied for broadand UL900 as both DID and BSNL would not have worked together. When I disconnected the DID line I found that the landline was not clear and the broadband connection was happening only after 1-2 hours of unsuccessful tries. So kept complaining about it 198 and the broadband tool free number. No resolution. Having spent Rs 900 for no usage I switched plan to Home 250. And how do u think I changed the plan, moved to customer service centre or it. Do u think I would have done it after bearing all this. I called 15000 and made them realise that they are working for a hopeless company with tall claims and wasting national resourses . I also informed that I have noted down the call time, date bsoc u guys dont provide any docket number and hence I will be requesting numbers called in the bill and sue u guys for no action on the compalint. And god received call about the change of the plan. Did I talk about tall claims from BSNL, yes Depty General Manager has SLA that OFC cut will be repaired in 4 hous and landline to the exchange in 8 hours. Some expections may be there like any problem solved in that 4 or 8 hours when the problem was in there premises itself. I can't understand OFC is laid for it to be cut every week?
Anyways the landline problem was not solved for 3.5 months and I was hardly audible to the person speaking to me on the phone. No say on the broadband part. In these days I had been requesting the head of the local exchange all the times to solve the landline problem, but no solution. Finally had to take the final step, I files to the nodal office for the landline problem and asked for the refund for the broadband. In a weeks time the refund was declared for 4 days without giving explanation. And in the afternoon I received this death threat from the BSNL exchange head. For what reason - I was looking for service that too good for the money I pay them and complaint and following it up with the higher authorities. Now now one Is accepting just behaviour from their employee, from AGM Complaints to DGM - Pimpri to Maharashtra Circle Head in Mumbai.
Hence the cons and pros below.
And why do I call then beggers, there it is we dont expect any service in return of money. Right?
I have still one month left to give my part of money to these national beggers, what about u?
