FAQ on MS-Points  Date: Dec-6-2001

Will my MS-Points be redeemed?
Yes, provided you meet the minimum eligibility and your MS-Points worth exceed Indian Rupees 250.00 (for members from India) and Indian Rupees 999.00 (for members from overseas). However all MS-Points earned from 1-Jan-2002 will not be redeemed till further notice.

What are the criteria for MS-Points Redemption?
All MouthShut members who have completed 6 months or more at MouthShut.com until Dec. 31, 2001 are eligible for redemption, provided they are not flagged for any reason as per our policies, and they fulfill the following criteria:

• Indian members must have MS-Points worth more than Rs. 250.00 as of Dec. 31, 2001.
• International members must have MS-Points worth more than Rs. 999.00 as of Dec. 31, 2001.

Why are there differences in the minimum amount for Indian and overseas members?
The processing of overseas members check's involves huge currency conversion charges as well as transfer charges. MouthShut pays these charges to banks in India and overseas. Paying less than Rs. 999.00 to overseas members would mean financial loses to MouthShut.

Then why do members from India must have a minimum of Rs 250.00 for redemption?
MouthShut will be overwhelmed by the individual request for many small payments. Inorder to avoid this problem MouthShut will redeem only if MS-Points worth exceed Rs 250.00

My MS-Points worth is less than the required amount for redemption. What happens to my MS-Points after Dec. 31, 2001?
You will continue to accrue MS-Points. However, MouthShut will not redeem any MS-Points after Dec. 31, 2001 until further announcements.

Has MouthShut redeemed MS-points for any member?
Yes! We have redeemed MS-Points for several hundred members from India, the United States, UK and Canada. All these members have met the minimum eligibility criteria.

What is the value of 1 US $ to Indian Rupee?
1 US $ is approximately valued at 48.00 Indian Rupee. To determine the dollar value of your MS-Points, simply divide the amount in Indian Rupee by 48.00.

Finally, why will MouthShut suspend redemption from January 1, 2002?
Please refer to the email from our CEO explaining the circumstances, especially the devastating effect caused on businesses by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

I love MouthShut and I am concerned if MouthShut will soon close shop?
As long as we have members willing to share their experiences on products and services, MouthShut will be operational. One of the reasons why we have to suspend MS-Points redemption is to save on costs, so that MouthShut is available to you for a long long time. As one member said "…as long as the Internet lasts…"
