Dear caretaker,
organizing contest in mouthshut is a very good idea, but prizes/cash are not the things which will keep mouthshut keep going,...

instead, if u try reaching the ppl and try recognizing their contribution via any medium on the regular basis, that would have been more benefited..
bcoz the contest season once come and goes away... but ms should always be vibrating.. :)

I totally agree with the words of @suraaz. Cash prize may be lucrating but recognition is more important and lifetime.

Can’t we have something like a ’’Member of the Month’’ or ’’the star of the month’’ awarded to members with the highest number of ROD’s, FB’ s and FS’s combined.
1. This would promote all the three activities at the same time, plus we’ll get a lot of credible and readable stuff.
2. Keep a space reserved in the homepage or any other page for displaying that user , so that pople can visit his timeline and view what he has written.
3. Giving the winners of the month something other than cash (or something with it ) with mouthshut branding.

Thats a very good initiative even better than the last one wherein 3 reviews won the cash prizes...... but why only till 19th November ??

I think Members shoul take it positively ... @caretaker.... hasn't written that its only thing they have in offer... I know they will turn up with more in dayss to come... Am I right ??

Today with unemployment and recession taking its toll on everyone's lives they are willing to take drastic measures that may finally make them even more miserable.

I would like to share my experience I had recently that could have ruined my life FOREVER.
I'm a fresher , a B.E from reputed college . I was selected from campus in MNC but later on sacked due to economic crisis in the company.
Since then I have tried several off-campus interviews, walk inns(over 50) but failed and some I rejected( low salary , poor infra, overtime, long distance.....)
This failing & rejection continued till 5 months- now I got desperate( parents pressure, self realization) so this time I made up my mind to give my best for the next company and accept it at any cost.
This was a marketing job( Emporis Group- client of APPCO).
Ist DAY : simple interview with manager , introduce yourselves , submit your CV
and get a call if selected for next round next day.
IInd DAY : Aptitude test (even that a 10th pass out could answer).
English test( Q like ; problems of our country & their solutions , define
management & success etc)
Field test(This was SURPRISE: to go door to door and request the
customers to charity on behalf of CIF, CRY INDIA etc- this was a shock
for me that I'm an engineer not salesman - after this I was sent back to
office and asked about my experience, I answered them truthfully and
said I would be called if selected.)
The IInd day was an observation day to (find the fools to take up this
job).
IIIrd DAY : I was ofcourse called as I made up my mind to ''join at any cost''.
BRAINWASHING CEREMONY:
They told all that I wanted to hear viz. high starting salary 12K which is
