What are the trading rules there, not the main ones, like maximum drawdown, something not obvious, like some prohibited trading strategies or orders restrictions?

they are mostly stated plainly, and are obvious. But in case you missed them: don''t trade just news, dont scalp on super-short timeframes, and DONT leave orders having over weekends (preferralby not wednesday too). Wednesday is a day of triple swap, in case you don''t know. Hedging your trades (doing 2 in opposite directions at the same time) also prohibited. They dont outright ban, but you may encounter more difficulties down the road.

By: FerozChandra204
For example, you’re not allowed to use trading news strategies because the market volatility is crazy at these periods. Many traders don’t know how to handle this situation decently, as a result they lose all money and fail challenges. That’s why they prohibited the news trading on a default account but you can pay an extra 10% if you still want to use the news strategy.

What do you recommend to choose, speedy or classic challenge, if I''m a complete beginner in prop trading, but have some experience in trading, in general?

I recommend the Classic Challenge as a better choice. It typically offers a realistic and simple conditions. The Speedy Challenge although is faster may be quite inconvenient because of the pressure it may add, which can be tough for beginners

By: TassachMacPheara
As a beginner, you should become more confident about trading in general and after that contemplate a classic challenge with less time pressure for making trading decisions.
Mar 21, 2025 07:17 PM
By: PratyushMemon979
Speedy Challenge is faster but more demanding, while the Classic Challenge is a more relaxed, two-step process. The best choice depends on your trading experience and risk tolerance. This challenge demands stricter risk management rules, making it more challenging.

As a trader who has some trading experience but have never traded with prop trading firms, what challenge do I have to pick to pass the assessment easily?
Mar 11, 2025 02:24 PM
By: JamMehta
To increase your chances of passing a prop firm assessment, focus on choosing a challenge with a lower initial capital requirement and a less restrictive profit target, while adhering strictly to drawdown limits and position sizing guidelines. Focus on strict risk management, including drawdown limits and position sizing, as these are crucial for passing the assessment and surviving in the long run.
Mar 24, 2025 10:20 PM
By: ajidejit85
Ultimate Traders assessment, choose a challenge with a lower profit target and less restrictive risk parameters, focusing on demonstrable consistency and strict risk management execution, rather than aiming for high profits quickly. Ultimate Traders evaluations typically involve two stages: a challenge phase where you reach a specific profit target, followed by a verification phase where you partially replicate your success.

I think I saw this sentiment echoed somewhere here, but the CLASSIC challenge. Speedy is a BAIT. I mean, if you are some genius and don''t have a few extra days, sure you can try doing it, but in reality Classic is more than twice easier to complete. Any trader who''s done it and trading with UT, like me, is gonna tell you that. The rules are just so much more lax, and sure you spend a bit more time, but at least you get what you want in the end.

Are there any differences between those challenges account balances, for example, if I buy the 100k challenge, would it be something different from the 10k one?
Feb 22, 2025 08:54 PM
By: Srinivasan_Akhil
6 Answers
the amount has nothing to do with anything, only with your potential profits. 100k account to my knowledge is no different from 10k one (idk I don''t have either, I''m in the middle). The only BIG difference is whether you chose the Speedy or Classic to get funded. If you chose Speedy, you basically have 2 times less possible drawdown that you can experience. So your account can basically be shut down even if you just reach 4% drawdown in a given day.
Mar 07, 2025 08:03 PM
By: navathe_om
The main difference is the account balance and risk allocation. A $100K challenge typically allows for larger position sizes and drawdown limits compared to a $10K account, but the rules and profit targets usually remain the same.
Feb 26, 2025 05:29 AM
By: AzharPathak
There is no variation in terms of parameters. It is still a certain % of drawdown and profit. But some things are more challenging on the account which is X10 larger. In this case, your challenge to maintain drawdown and profit is magnified accordingly. Even though the percentage remains the same, the absolute dollar value of losses and profits is much larger, making it harder to maintain discipline and stick to risk management rules.
Feb 25, 2025 02:05 AM
By: AjayKibe766
I’d recommend the lower size. If you wanted, you could periodically put a little money into the capital at one time. But if you run a 10k account into the ground, you’ll definitely run a 100k account into the ground and probably faster.
Feb 24, 2025 11:04 PM
By: MandeitK86
Like I have had a few 100k demo accounts and always have turnt them to like 200k before they reset automatically . Start with a 10k account, pass all the challenges and when you get a pay out use that money to buy a bigger account.

How strict are the evaluation rules for the funded account? Do they allow any small mistakes, or is it an instant fail if you break one rule?
Feb 09, 2025 02:44 PM
By: VasinNagi645
The evaluation rules for funded accounts, particularly in the context of prop firms, are generally strict, with little room for small mistakes, and violating rules can lead to account termination and potentially the need to re-pass the challenge. There is no such rule that most profitable traders use funded account.
Mar 24, 2025 10:18 PM
Ultimate Traders and prop firm funded accounts, evaluation rules are generally strict, and breaking even minor rules can lead to an instant fail, requiring traders to repeat the challenge. Prop firms place a considerable amount of capital on their funded traders, so they set rigorous challenges to ensure that only serious and knowledgeable traders are funded.
Mar 12, 2025 05:16 PM
Yes, because they also share in the losses and successes I guess they have to make the rules tight. they have strict risk management rules, including daily loss limits, max drawdowns, and consistency requirements.

Is Ultimate Traders reliable for long-term forex trading How’s their execution speed during high volatility, and do payouts process smoothly without delays?
Feb 08, 2025 07:38 PM
By: PrashantMahanta
To assess "Ultimate Traders" reliability for long-term forex trading, you should research their track record, customer reviews, and execution capabilities. Check their payout processes and customer support, and consider that Forex trading carries inherent risks, regardless of the broker. Check online forums, social media groups, and review sites to gauge the opinions of other traders about the platform and their experiences.
Mar 12, 2025 05:18 PM
As for long-term forex trading, I think, prop firm is not the best place, since it has max drawdown requirements, so sooner or later, even on the funded stage, you`ll reach this number, because no one can actually trade without losses. But, in terms of payouts, it`s 100% legit, once a month, like on clock, you`ll receive your profit splits without any delays. About execution, I also wouldn`t be nervous about, reliable MT4 is gonna do its thing, so no worries here too.
Feb 28, 2025 05:42 PM
By: VasinJayaraman
good questions, I''m funded so I can anwer for you. The execution speed is NOT your first problem when it comes to the high volatility trading. They straight-up don''t allow trading during those times, if you didn''t select the +news options when doing the challenge. I didn''t, so I couldn''t trade during the news (now I can, with funded, but am too scared, not worth). The payouts though, are done not by them, but by Deel, which is a payout firm, so its great.

Which type of instruments can I trade here during both challenges, are there any restrictions on the type of instruments you can use?
Jan 29, 2025 05:06 PM
By: Krishan_S
you can trade a wide variety of instruments including forex, cryptocurrencies, indices, and commodities across different markets, allowing you to choose based on your strategy and preferred asset class. Beginners might start with more liquid markets like major forex pairs, while experienced traders may explore more volatile options like cryptocurrencies.

your account will be restricted to exiting (i.e., liquidating) positions only. A 10% profit target must be achieved during the first phase (Challenge). For example, a $100K account must be traded up to a $110K+ account. you can''t buy anything for a specified period of time determined by your broker.
Jan 22, 2025 05:08 PM
By: PalrtVerma
A 10% profit target must be achieved during the first phase (Challenge). All trades are required to open with a stop-loss in place and close before the weekend. By default, we will close any positions that open without a stop and any positions that remain open at the end of the trading day on Friday (soft breach, no failure).

Yes, traders are allowed to use multiple trading strategies during the evaluation and challenge time in Ultimate Traders. They can use strategies like arbitrage or other prop trading strategies to manage risk and reach the required profitability target. The Classic Challenge is a two-step evaluation.
Dec 11, 2024 06:04 PM
Scalping aims for quick profits from small price fluctuations, and an Expert Advisor automates the process, executing trades with speed and precision.. An Expert Advisor allows for the execution of a large number of trades in a short period, maximizing the potential for profit in rapidly changing market conditions.

Dec 05, 2024 03:22 AM

They do not impose severe rules on trading strategies, so, choose any style according to your preferences. The main is to hit the profit target and not to let significant drawdown during the challenge

Come on, dude! Nobody can restrict you to trade the way you want, it would be nonsense. Of course, Ultimate Traders allows you to use those strategies, it doesn’t matter what and how exactly you trade. The main rule is that you must reach the target of profit and don’t lose more than it’s allowed.

Does UT impose specific restrictions or guidelines on EAs, and how can I use them in a proprietary trading environment? Additionally, how does EA performance impact my evaluation and profitability within UT?
Nov 25, 2024 10:34 PM
By: MuniDhillon
Within a UT (likely referring to a proprietary trading firm like "FundYourFX"), you are generally allowed to use EAs as long as they align with your personal trading strategy, and EA performance significantly impacts your evaluation and profitability, with profit sharing based on either predetermined percentages or performance-based targets. UTs prioritize assessing your overall trading skills, risk management abilities, and ability to adapt to market conditions.
Mar 12, 2025 05:19 PM
Yes, prop trading firms may have specific rules and guidelines for using Expert Advisors (EAs). Firms may maintain a list of approved EAs that meet their risk management standards.Proprietary trading, or "prop trading", is when a financial firm or commercial bank uses its own money to trade securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.

Ultimate Traders lets you use EAs but make sure they follow risk rules (like drawdown limits). Good EA performance boosts your chances of passing evaluations and getting funded.

What are the main differences between classic and daily challenges, I mean what is better to choose for beginners?
Nov 21, 2024 08:27 PM
By: RamSubramanian2001

For beginners, daily challenges are generally a better starting point than classic challenges because they offer a more structured, manageable, and often less intimidating learning experience. They can be less flexible, requiring a greater commitment and potentially leading to frustration if a participant falls behind.
Mar 24, 2025 10:21 PM
Daily, or... speedy? If so, then actually the name speak for itself. Speedy challenge is for more advanced traders who have already built a good risk and money management strategy, know how to balance between mistakes and profits, increasing the number of successful deals + they can easily meet the profit target and not to let significant drawdown. Speedy is fast, number of phases is shrunk.

The Classic Challenge is a two-step evaluation. During the Ultimate Traders Challenge phase (first step) the trader must reach a specific profit target. The Speedy Challenge offers quicker access to capital, with multiple account sizes ranging from $5,000 to $200,000, allowing traders.

The main difference between the Classic Challenge and the Speedy Challenge in Ultimate Traders is the risk controls and the speed. The Classic Challenge has a 6% maximum acceptable loss threshold, while the Speedy Challenge has a 4% daily drawdown limit and a 6% all-time maximum loss threshold. The Speedy Challenge is faster and more strict than the Classic Challenge. It offers quicker access to capital with account sizes ranging from $5,000 to $200,000.

What challenge is easier to pass for a trader who prefers to hold positions for several weeks and even months?
Nov 06, 2024 06:45 PM
By: Bharat_Bedi642
months and weeks wont work here! Need to be done in a week, tops. So you will have to relearn a bit. Can''t just expect the trend to reverse etc. But Classic challenge is obv better for such cases.
Nov 29, 2024 07:26 PM
By: PanduSabanis
I would advise you to go for the Classic challenge, because speedy is seemingly the one for day traders or scalpers. Classic challenge is a full-fledged one with multiple phases, so you will be able to balance well in terms of your deposit. It''s not about immediate hit of profit target like in case of scalping with big leverage, as well as you protect yourself from exceeded max. drawdown.

Ultimate Traders funded trading allows a lot of flexibility regarding your trading strategy or tools you can use. One good thing is that this evaluation phase is that it imitates the real-life trading world. In fact, it is after traders pass this challenge their accounts will be funded appropriately as they move to trading officially.

Prop firm trading is legitimate and offers benefits like financial backing, shared resources and scaling opportunities. The evaluation challenge is simply a way for prop firms to make money off of failed traders and that the challenges are intentionally made difficult to achieve.

Being a Prop trader, the main reason for which I do prop trading rather than trading with my own money would be the lack of capital to invest. Many people find it much easier to trade or work if they have external control.
Dec 04, 2024 11:54 AM
Traders should only use leverage when they have a clear advantage.. Leverage is often expressed as a ratio or multiple. potential loss of capital should be no more than 3% of the trading capital. Traders have different levels of experience and risk parameters, so they may choose to deviate from the general guideline of 3%.
Nov 22, 2024 04:35 PM
Proprietary trading refers to a financial firm or commercial bank that invests for direct market gain rather than earning commission dollars. Prop trading is when a firm provides a trader with company capital and technology, in exchange for a share of the trader''s profits.

Every 24-hour period your equity (balance + floating P&L) is ‘recorded’ and your losses during the next 24-hour period should not exceed 6% of this recorded value. evaluation stage and funded Ultimate Trader accounts, exceeding drawdowns is considered a hard breach and the account has failed if this occurs.
Jan 17, 2025 05:06 PM
My opinion on passing prop firm challenges is that you should only attempt for a prop funded account if you are able to pass their challenges every single time.

If you''re at a loss, cannot meet the minimum trading day requirement, and fail to meet the consistency rule in your account, as a result, your account will be breached.
