Takes more than 2 months for reimbursement claims. To justify the delay they keep asking for same documents multiple times. Even their customer service is slow you have to wait atleast 30 mins for call and through email it takes 3-4 days for them to reply.

I raised a reimbursement claim and did not got any email or call from uhcp even after 2 months.
I have been continuously chasing them through their customer care but everytime i get similar response that next week claim will be processed.
I have experience the worst service from this insurance company. I strongly recommend not to go with this company. It's been 90 days my claim is not settle. Each and every time they give some non sense excuses.

I have been a customer of UHC from past few months now, due to some very serious illness we needed to admit my father through emergency in the hospital. He had been admitted for 3-4 days, meanwhile neither the hospital nor uhc teams informed us anything about claim denial, finally at the discharge time we got to receive a letter via email from UHC that your claim has got declined and the reason is that 'patient did not had any positive illness', so according to them we was there for 4 days to have picnic. So now we had a bill of amount 1.8 lac to pay immediately
Worst insurance company. Claim has been registered 1 year before still no settlement. Nobody in the company knows the reason for delay and they don't know how much more time it would take to settle my claim. Very very bad experience. Don't go with this company. I wish if I could give negative rating for this company.
First of all I suggest everyone not to buy policy from UNITED HEALTH INSURANCE. Somehow they will reject your claim in the name of some nonsense documents. I subscribed for parental insurance as part of company insurance at the cost of Rs.11000/-(coverage of 2 lakhs). My mom was admitted in hospital three times and none of the claims got approved. The hospital don't have cashless facility and I used to submit hard copy of bills and medical reports along with discharge summary. Twice they said they didnt received any documents, but later on they agreed as I got the delivery proof from courier vendor. The process usually takes week and after 2-3 weeks they will get back to you and say some documents nonsense missing(for eg nurse daily report) though all details reports were submitted. Once they rejected saying discharge summary is not submitted, though I submitted along with other documents.
The first claim amount was for 12, 000, second for 8, 000 and third was 38000. Whats the use of paying 11000 if they are sure to reject the claims. Also their portal is not user friendly at all. Often not able to login, then if you request for new passowrd it will take 2-3 days to receive the automated mail.
Guys dont waste ur hard earned money for this crap insurance company.
My review is for website only: I just could not log in. The website gives blank page after log-in; when I retry it says user is login from a different system. I tried Chrome / IE, even clearing caches tooIt frustrating when one of your family member is in hospital and you spend 30 minutes just to log in to a website. I have informed them before about this issue, but have not seen any progress in more than a year.(My internet and laptop is in perfect condition.)
My wife had a stomach pain and she was diagnosed with cyst in her right ovary and she had to undergo a minor surgery (Laproscopy).
When I contacted UHC for Cashless transaction, they called and said, seeing the hospital records, this might be related to infertility and they cannot approve it. However, there is nothing in the history of the hospital records where infertility is mentioned and my wife's left ovary is perfectly fine. Even the doctor has given a certificate saying this has nothing to do with infertility.
When I told them to check with any doctor before denying, they said they will check and simply denied my request and asked me to pay and then apply for reimbursement.
Also, they mentioned infertility in the denial report. This is a sensitive thing and if somebody from our family sees this, they are going to blame my wife even though she has nothing to do with this.
I did not want to go with UHC anymore and finally, I used a different insurance from my wife's office.
If the insurance is not going to help during emergency situation, I don't know why we are paying for it.
This is about https://uhcindia.com - Though required information submitted two page document, wanted to get in their process one-form and also said Dr's handwritten document is not understandble -silly reason even medical-shop boy can read medcine prescription written, the so called professional are trained to deny claim with some reason. There is no natural justice applied for simple medical case. Within company, Internally slow process delays, email takes 24hours to respond? that shows how much they are ready to serve a customer. email is fastest comm next to direct voice call. Keeping many process that does not help rural hospital(they do not have computer/pritning system to provide printout) to suit healthInsurance co. process. They are ready to process bills from big hospitals though billed amount in lakhs - no question asked. we do not go inform small hospital about "health insurance" while admission because small or big hospital will make different class of bill when informed about "insurance"- so ultimately the looser is customer as their "claim" levels makes from original Insured value in next event. This company denied to paypack the pre-hospitalization charges at 1st hospital at rural/town but processed cashless treatment at chennai hospital.then following post routine checkup . for pre-hospitalization, just denied as they could not understand the treatment .not sure what kind of Dr-panel they have for? the case simple diarrhea case .they could not udnerstand 1st hospital treatment it with ICU-3days treatment at Chennai
