Rdd? dreams? not really
Aug 29, 2006 10:56 AM 4663 Views

I will start with some interesting stuff..been a member of rdd for quite some time (and of xbhp too, yeah the name xbhp comes in...) lot of cold-war stuff keeps goin on b/w both the forums but I hv come to the conclusion that rdd is only for rd lovers basically and xbhp is more for every kind of biker (one + point for xbhp) also rdd guys seem to hv lot of attitude and every now and then keep gettin in 'xbhp' in their posts and writtin crap abt it for no reason at all! ok, agreed rdd in itself is a gr8 site but why compare urself with xbhp (which they cant match in terms of members, contect, design etc) even the mods there are very stiff like (shall I say feelingless?) hope they change their attitude soon, concentrate more on design n content and for once stop gettin in xbhp in their posts..

I had been member of almost all the forum sites ... RD Dreams has always been the best technical site you could ever be on ...

Some people came up comparing xBhp with RD dreams... I guess its high time for all our RD members to check on xbhp ... these guys wont stop barking ...

The best damn Technical Site in the whole world ... not INDIA ... But WORLD....

The rating for tech spec would be 100/100

For Fun and Touring its https://Adrenaline-Riders.com

These are the two best site that I have ever been to online and offline with xbhp ...

xbhp was worst offline get to gether , adrenaline riders the most fun loving biking group and royal beast the best maturured croud of all.

I would request Royal Beasts as well to start thier own site rather than yahoo. coz you guys also rock big time ;)

Navi Mumbai India
India's first and best online Automotive Community

Ive been a member on https://rddreams.com (or RDD for short ) for more than a year now , and I have to say it is THE best online Indian automotive forum and India's first online automotive forum as well , (before RDD was created the same guys used to use eindiancompanies.com as a forum) . The crowd there is a very well educated , mature and an older crowd , most of the guys there are in their late 20 and mid thirties , people who are very dedicated to their motorcycles/ cars and basically motorheads. Although the sites name suggests that it is specifically meant only for the RD350 ( the GOD of indian bikes) , it isnt so , RX100 , RX135 , RXZ , Bullet 350 , Bullet 500 , Thunderbird , Shoguns , Shaolins , KB100 , KB125 , Pulsars , Karizmas , etc are commonly discussed , this forum is quite technical , as in if you think a bike is fast , you will learn why that bike is fast and you will also understand what can make it faster , you will learn ( if interested) how a internal cumbustion engine works , what carburation is and how important it is ,etc , etc , how to improve your riding skills & road safety skills , as well as Drag Racing , Track Racing skills , why certain motors perform better than other motors and you also get to meet guys who are totally into bikes from your area .

I was a member on another indian motorcycle forum for a year or so before I got to know about RDD. To be honest I was lost at the previous indian motorcycle forum since I have a 2 stroke motorcycle and love 2 strokes , which are no longer sold in the showrooms , the crowd on the previous forum were basically obsessed with their new 4 stroke bikes like the Pulsar and Karmiza ( I think some of you know which site im talking about) and thought that they were the best bikes in the india

obviously most those guys had never ridden a well tuned 2 stroke and dint know much about what it takes to make a bike move....

RDD is run by this guy with the ID: Chinoy also known as Ron , he is one of the best 2 stroke tuners in this country and is an authority on the RD350 , this forum has loads and loads of information on the RD350 , and is very useful to other RD350 owners who cant figure out why their RD is not performing or what is the rite approach to start making your RD perform better , and this kind of help on the site is available not only for the RD350 but also for the RX series of bikes , the Bullets/ Enfields , Pulsars etc. This site is 2stroke/Techie/Serious Biker Paradise.

The administration of this site is very liberal , you can literally speak your mind on this site , there is no censoring , period , and they do not Bann Users who post rubbish/abusive post , nor do they practice IP Bans , that is one of the principles that I admire about this site , they will never ban or try an curb somebodies freedom of speech , yes you will get flack from other members for posting nonsense ( so DONT POST RUBBISH THERE , be warned this is not your average indian forum , most of the people on RDD have higher than average IQ and knowledge and they wont think twice about correcting you if you are wrong) .

The forum is divided into Bike Specific Sections ( RD350 , RX - series , and the Enfields) . This is where you can find information is great detail about the above mentioned bikes .

Then there is a Technical Section/ Forum where other 2 stroke and 4 strokes are discussed , their engines and engine components as well as their basic problems and functions . The pulsar and the Karizma come in the 4 stroke section. Then there is Technical Lingo and Biker Slang , information that will help you understand the terms and the different names of different parts of a bike and how they work ,there is also a dedicated 4 Wheeler /Car section . Cosmetics and Modifications are also discussed , everything other than stock is discussed in this section , then there is a Road Safety and Driving Skills section where everything from braking and cornering to how to save yourself when you are going to crash is discussed , most advise is given from first hand experience from well experienced riders. Imported bikes and engines are discussed as well , and there is also a Road Racing and Drag Racing section , here everything from launching at a drag strip , to gear shifting , the best lines to take while cornering , to actual Track Racing , YES , thats right! The guys at RDD actually organize events where people live their dreams , i.e , do all the things you wanted to do with your bike but couldnt do it in the city or the outskirts becas of the road condition , traffic , etc ,etc ....but on a Race Track you can scrape your knees , wheelie out of corners , and RACE! in real life!!!! They are having one rite now as I type this , where 30 odd members have gone to participate in this event organized by RDD.

Then there is the non technical section : The Open Forum/ Pit Lane , anything and everythin non technical is discussed here , from the current affairs of our country to the latest music and movies ...There is a section called Road Trip where members can organise long rides to other parts of india/ world , a couple of weeks back 3 RDD members arranged a Road Trip to the Himalayas , Leh , Ladak , etc on motorcycles.., they just got back from a successful road trip a couple of days ago ...and these rides happen all the time ... then there is the RDD City Clubs section where members from different parts of india , memebers belonging to the same city can arrange meets , go for long rides , etc ...It helped me find like minded biker folk as well as get into long rides .

RDD also makes alot of after market parts for motorcycles , like the Digital CDI for the RD350 , the RX - series and the Pulsar . RDD CDIs are arguably the best aftermarket CDIs that one can get for these respective bikes. There are other RDD after market products mostly as well , you can check out the customer feedback section , Customer Support and the RDD store from on RDD for more information.

RDD also has a Race/Drag team that comprises of motorcycle enthusiasts just like you and me , with a thirst for speed and better designed/ functioning vehicles , an RD350 built by RDD hold the landspeed record for an RD350 on stock silencers 177km/hr (true speed) , RDD also builds modifiyed versions of the RX called RXCs . check out the customer feedback section for more information.

Ok ill sum up RDD in short , its the best thing that can ever happen to the serious indian biker, 2 stroke/ Techie / Serious Biker Paradise . It is THE place to be if you want to advance you knowledge / learn more about motorcycles in India amd abroad. RDD is a very practical site where only practical things that will improve your vehicles , performace/ handling are discussed , non practical senseless things arnt discussed or not appriciated . Its not that you cant dream but for eg: An Eliminator Tyre on an RX100 or a Pulsar with an Extra Exhaust Can is dispised on . Reasons : The fat tyre (Eliminator tyre on RX) will decreased performance , milage , handling and make the rider look like a fool . Adivce given on RDD is very mature and practical/helpful.

The technical discussions / information available on RDD is so good that you have American , British , French , Swedish , Norwegian & Australian Race Tuners (!!) on this forum learning and helping others learn more about the different intricacies of the motorcycle. Membership is FREE , just go to https://rddreams.com and register yourself and advance you knowledge about motorcycles and reach a new level in biking . Imp: Make sure you introduce yourself in the section for new members, read the rules (STICKY) on every section on RDD and DO NOT POST rubbish ! or face the consequences. ROCK ON RDD!!

WARNING : Posers , DHOOM fans , my karizma/ pulsar is the fastest bike in india : BEWARE!!
