In this fast moving world, entertainment attains a special place. Our urge to get our share of peace through entertainment also demands to get it the best way. When it comes to entertainment and the pleasure of experiencing it, there shall be no compromise. Well, we all know that TV is one big medium of entertainment. And for a good experience of viewing and pleasure, selecting a good TV is very necessary. Choosing a television is not a mean job. A normal consumer would expect television to have good picture quality and at the same time a good sound output. Among the many televisions in market, Videocon also shares its part. The new “Videocon Bazzon” is another addition. Let us have a look into what the product is all about.
About the TV: - Videocon has always emphasized on sound output. It has got a history of televisions with high sound output. In that sense, the all new Videocon Bazzon is no exception. The television boasts a flat screen with excellent picture quality. The TV also has the well-known high sound outputs and seems to have a user-friendly tuning and remote. Let us get to know more about its features.
1. Anti-Glare Screen: - The product boasts an Anti-Glare Screen which, they say, would enable us to have excellent visual pleasure. And the fact that, the screen is almost flat makes this feature all the more lucrative and important.
2. Speakers and Sound Output: - As always, this Videocon product has great sound outputs. It has 6 speakers built in and a 650-watt sound output. Maybe even a cat’s “meow” would sound like a tiger’s “roar”, I suppose. But with such extraordinary sound capabilities, the TV should generally preferred in big Mansions than in a common man’s house.
3. Personal Message Service: - This might sound like a very lucrative thing. Did you think this was some kind of messaging service like you get in cell connections? No, my dear me, no. It is just another simple feature, which provides us with some user-friendly stuff. Not really necessary but at times can be put to good use it seems.
4. Remote: - The so called, channel-on-demand remote is just another ordinary remote without much specialty to boast. All the functions can certainly be operated with the remote and channel-on-demand persists.
5. 3-Band Graphic Equalizer: - This is a feature that is helpful in tuning the channels. Also, adjusting the colour and contrasts for bands are done in here.
6. LD/VCD/DVD- Compatibility: - Well this is one really attractive feature of this television but no one is sure of the quality involved in it. It definitely needs some tests to be done.
Personal Opinions: I personally feel, this television is not worth its cost. Here are some of the reasons. 1. Basically, the picture quality is not really as good as they are supposed to be. Picture doesn’t seem to be effective enough. 2. The remote is not all that user friendly. Believe me. Once while tuning the channels, for a neighbor of mine, I was stuck up for two hours unable to tune properly. 3. The sound is unnecessarily impeccable. Well, the Sound Retrieval System and TruBass provide too much sound. At times, it is really irritating to hear too much sound.
Some Debate: - I always believe in some form of minimality. The Videocon Bazzon with TruBass by SRS makes even the slightest of sound clearly audible. But indeed that is not necessary. Say, you are in a lazy mood and need to listen to some peaceful music. But at that time if something produces alarming sound, definitely you are bound to get irritated. I feel, a normal man doesn’t need headbanging, 650 watt output sound. All he needs is to listen to whatever he wants, clearly not loudly. He definitely wouldn’t like to wake up his neighbours. But that is exactly what happens with a Videocon. So I believe, there is no use in investing on something that is of no real use to us. So I wouldn’t really prefer Videocon Bazzon.
Conclusion: - I am really sorry if I have hurt the sentiments of some people who are for Videocon. It is only due to my personal experiences that I am concluding that “Videocon Bazzon” is not worth investing on. But if you need booming sound and headache creating bass then you can certainly purchase this TV. But for a good experience and viewing pleasure, this product is not recommended.
