I feel this review is:
My dad's elder brother is settled in Dubai and we were introduced by the Aiwa brand and products by him only.
We had not even heard of it in India before he started bring back alot of Aiwa products.
Incidentally, Aiwa also then came in India and made a big boom stayed for a couple of years and then left the country and its consumer base! Our first color television was an Aiwa product, it was Aiwa VX-S205 I think. It was a big thing back then. it has such a beautiful and stylish design that everyone loved it.
The colors were bright and true and its controls were very modern and intuitive. The best part of it was its remote, during that time all companies used to make huge remotes, but Aiwa made small and efficient remote controls for their tvs.
It was very durable too, we had it till a couple of years but and it was still running.We had to give it away to someone since we got a new lcd tv. Its a pity that Aiwa products are not sold in India.
