Jquery Mobile Reviews

Great if you don’t need speed!
Dec 08, 2022 08:16 AM (via Mobile)

Many websites and apps don’t need super-performance that's unnoticeable to the end user.

In this condition jQuery mobile can save you hours and hours in development time...it's just HTML and JavaScript...the exact same code can be used on any website, and put into any mobile app too.

I don't see any other disadvantages besides performance you can very quickly make a professional looking website or mobile app.

There's so many conditions where super-performance is unneeded.

Great time saver!

One of best cross development platform
Jul 20, 2015 04:10 PM

I have experience of developing android development and also developed android apps using jquery mobile. I reached to jquery mobile as after googling I found that jquery mobile is one of the most widely used cross platform development platform.

Before you as an android develop start using jquery mobile as your preferred platform, please go through following pros and cons:

Pros:

Easy to develop: You can test most of your stuff in your desktop browser.

Stunning GUI.

Theming support.

You can use any of your preferred editor for html and javascript development.

Cons:

Very slow compared to native android apps.

You should be very much comfortable with javascript.

Lack of native debugging support compared to Eclipse platform.

If you want a good UI for your app and fast development, you can opt for jquery mobile.
