The Mobile Store, Bangalore

I bought a Nokia E630 from the store in CMH road. While billing, I also included the accidental insurance coverage offer. Now within a few days the mobile had been accidentally dropped and the screen broke. I brought it back to the store and they asked me to get it repaired at a Nokia Care centre nearby. The total for the repairs came to Rs. 4, 000. I almost half the price of the phone.

They asked to submit a job card detailing the repairs and the bill copy and a claim form all of which I did right then. This was done on around September 18th. I was promised explicitly by all parties at the store I would get my claim refunded in 7 DAYS and now I have been following up on it for over 3 MONTHS now. All of them, including the regional manger(Mr Anandkumar) have been giving me blatant lie and excuse after excuse as to why the delay has been happening. This is clearly a case pure gross negligence and apathy! They are not at all displaying the duty of care required to a customer. I am still yet to receive my insurance claim refund after more than 3 months now.

They have completely lost my trust in them and I would NEVER intend to do business with them again after being treated like this. The Indian customer is the ultimate casualty. We are at the mercy of these greedy corporations.

I would never recommend doing business with The Mobile Store to anyone considering it. They will cheat you with their fake promises and cheap promises. THey are just lookking to make a quick buck off you. Please do NOT waste your time with these people!

I am one more victim of THE MOBILE STORE in Bangalore. I purchased one Sony Xperia Mini Pro SK17i a couple of years ago(Purchase Date: 08/01/2012) with a paid extended warranty of one year. My phone got some issues and needed a fix. I went to see the store and they made me run from pole to post. from Sony service station(in spite of knowing that it is their job as the company warranty is expired and handset is in extended warranty period) to various stores in Bangalore. Finally at the store where I purchased the mobile they did accept my mobile for servicing and gave me one hand written and signed receipt. They asked for 25 working days time to get the mobile serviced(which I believe is too much time for such service) but there is no sign of my mobile yet where it has been one and half month since I handed over my mobile to them(Handset handover date: 31/10/2013). Whenever I go to the mobile store they give me some or other weird reason and ask me to come later without even committing a fixed time to handover my mobile back to me. I am extremely frustrated with them and highly recommend everyone to stay away from "The Mobile Store". The address of store dealing with me is:

Bought a Nokia Lumai 800 from THE MOBILE STORE koramnagla, the phone started hanging right after 2 hrs of the purchase, please dont ever go to this store as they phones which they have is of very poor quality. The store guys dont stick to their word.

PLEASE DONT EVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS STORE. EVEN IF YOUR GETTING IT FOR THE LEAST PRICE.

I had taken a LG KM355 from the Mobile store 1.5 years back and during the time of purchase, mobile store offered an additional one year warranty which I gladly accepted it. the problems started last month when I my microphone was not functioning and as per the warranty I took the mobile to the mobile store. worst mistake of my life time as the blame game started. the promoters in the mobile store( fraser town) first said I will have to take this to the LG service centre, inspite of me telling them the manufacturer's warranty is only for one year and this needs to be coverd under the extended warranty by the mobile store. the promoter was confident that LG service center would help. As I already knew this is not going to help, I still went ahead and took it to the LG service center and they denied service. now back to the mobile store, mobile store called up some manager named Zaid and he said he said that as per the new policy I will have to get it repaired myself and then claim the money through reimbursement claim. when I asked that if the same thing is written in the warranty they said no. So finally Mr Zaid decided to study the copy of my warranty and revert back to me in a day or two. he took good 14 days and dint bother calling back. after multiple visits to the Mobile store(8 visits) I was not very happy and took my phone back. took the phone to a local repair shop, the Shop cleaned the dust in the mobile and microphone was working back. the local guy offered me a tea while he was working and he charged me Rs 50 only to powerblow the dust .I was just comparing a local shop vs a Multi chain cell phone with huge promises and delevered a frustration vs a small shop guy offering tea and doing a neat job in 30 mins.30 mins vs 30 days of no job. alternatively I had written to LG and the mobile store inspite of everyday reminders nobody till date has ever bothered to reply back.Moral of the story LG phones and the Mobile store deadly combo.buy at your own risk.you just will loose few days of your life and their service will wow you with frustration.

Update to this blog, Finally one of Managers from the Mobile Store called and apologised . it was a nice gesture, he also promised none of the customers will undergo similar bad experience . my advise to them was to do the same in their own interest. . Thank you for calling and putting me at ease.

1>I bought LGCookie Pep in July last yr, they said it has one more year insurance. Unfortunately, I lost it in August. When I filed the claim, the insurance company sent me a letter saying "Insurance coverage only for theft, not for loss" and I got nothing.

2>I bought Blackberry 8520, and they gave me a 6 months (2 free movie tickets each month) voucher. till date I haven't been able to book even a single ticket and now the voucher is said to be expired.

The service sucks. They charges more for BB but I bought there as cost of free 12 tickets was offsetting the price different but at the end, WTF.

I have purposed a new K30 mobile from Mobile Store Opp road to Forum K Mangala. On the Day of my Purchase - the Memory Card Slot Holder was in poor quality and the Shop keeper had adjusted the same convinced me that there would not be any problem with it.

Moreover, the Shopkeeper did not even give me any USER MANUAL / WARRANTY CARD / ETC ...which had created a strong doubt that this is not a brand new piece.

I HAD TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD BE DAM BUSY AND I REQUIRE A GOOD FUNCTIONING PHONE - AND VERBALLY THE SHOPKEEPER CONVINCED ME.

Since I am already using K560 and K 448 - I told myself lets adjust as the Brand is GOOD and has no major issues in functioning.

Later after 2-3 days - all my callers have started complaining that they are not able to hear me and I must speak louder. I have tried to exchange this phone with the shop keeper but of no use.

This is clearly a DEFECTIVE PIECE SOLD OUT TO ME BY THE SHOP KEEPER - WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I WOULD BE TAKING LEGAL STEPS ACCORDINGLY.

RECOMMEND ALL THE BANGLOREANS TO BE CAREFUL WITH THE SHOPKEEPER -

I visited this shop recently to buy battery for my mobile and wired head set, they gave me a price of Rs.950/- for battery( A grade, original is not available) and Rs.750 for Head set. I bought it as I needed them and trusted them. Later when I checked in two more shops for these costs it was available for Rs.350/- and Rs.300/- respectively.

These guys are cheats and I would recommend guys / girls not to visit these shops and get cheated, check for price with couple of more shops before buying from this store.

This is my experience with The Mobile store.. and the same kind of story I received from others as well.

In the month of Feb 10, I have paid Rs. 1379/- thru online to The Mobile Store, for a basic mobile made by Nokia 1209 model, which is even now available in the market less price. After a week I have contacted the Customer support at The Mobile store, they said that the item is on the way. Surprise. until today 'IT IS ON THE WAY".

Tried to contact the supervisor or the manager (who is never available for help, in fact the line never transferred to the supervisors or managers. Even tried log calls with Customer support executive (Mr. Ashok) vide call ref no. I-100021817.They always says that the supervisor will be calling you back sooner.

Now would you like to try your luck.. ?

Suggest.. Never or ever.. Buy anything from the mobile store.
