We bought Nokia 5520 from this store in Koramamgala Branch.This phone is called xpress music. So you can understand that the reason I bought the phone was for the music part.
It comes preloaded with 50 songs for which you get a scratch card. You are to send an sms from the new phone with the scratch code and the songs get activated.The problem started with trasfer of data. Mine is a business phone and all the numbers are very imp to me.
These guys were unable to transfer data from my existing phone and they asked us to do it on our own. Andin teh process of trying they nearly misplaced my SIM which thanks to my husband we recovered from soem other phone in the store!
After trying to activate the songs we could not play any of them. We went to them next weekend and they did some stuff and made us wait for 2-3 hours. The conclusion was that its a problem with the card. So this guy Mohit from the store actually opened a Sealed pack and took SD card from that and put that in mine. Still nothign happened.
We were told that they will get back to us. We waited for entire week and again went today ie the next weekend. Today they gave me a replacement phone ( the most worn out phone ever and so heavy ) and told us that the phone will have to be sent to the service centre. Again startd the excercise of transferring data from new phone to the temporary phone. after one hour we left the shop with promise that they will repair the phone.
They called us on teh same day and told that the phone is ready. we were really happy and thoughtof buying our next purchase (LCD TV) from this store itself. After going there they showed music working and gave some explanation about file format etc. Anyway we were happy and then I checked for contacts only to find that all the conatcts were not there.
I told them taht and they said pls come back, we will need and hour's time. It was already 9pm and I could not again think of having to go thru that process of again having a temporary phone etc So we decided to have dinner outside. After thatwe went again and we were told that all's done. To my horror at least 150 numbers were missing and they had no clue how to recover them. The worst part is I do not even know which conatcts were these and the store guys would just not understand the issue of loosing business conatcts. Very frustating terrible experience. We have just come back disgusted!!!
