Worst possible shop ever!!

We went to buy sarees for my cousins marriage.. Initially she said that she has studied medicine and said that it's worst profession.. She started speaking very very softly and pulled all our attention by telling that we are here to help bramhins.. If we help people only God will do good to us and all!! When we dint like the lehengas pieces there.. She Is like all film actors, reddy's, gowdas, politicians all are customers of her shop and all want such high class dresses and we don't have taste and all! And then we had no choice but to agree to what she told.. She told it will cost 3000 with stitching and after everything is over.. She is asking for 3000 more for stitching just because it is padded blouse.. Even for the elders.. Saree is not according to what they wanted.. But it is according to what she wanted them to buy.. She asked us to fold the sarees which she opened and has absolutely no respect towards the customers..when we changed our minds about the lehengas and sarees.. She said.. God will never do good for people like you and started cursing us! This is the only worst experience I have ever had.. Please read reviews before going or better don't go At all. Never have I seen a worst shop or a shop owner

The owner of the store. oh my god. psycho #1. She literally curse you if you backtrack on buying the sarees. we spent 1 lakh in her store and she still starts shouting at the us. Mannerless, Culture less, Illeterate she is. Dear readers never go to this store.

She curse the ladies saying you will remove your bindi sooner, you will wear white saree sooner. I will see how your function goes smoother kind of words she uses. Her behavior is like she is donating the clothes to the customers.

The worst experience

I want to share my horrible experience with this store. The owner of this store is a real psycho.you have to meet her to believe me .First off all she wont allow you to say anything .does not even try to understand your preferences or wt you are looking for, very impatient and just keeps on blabbering abt who all she does business. All big names and how they will shop for lakhs at once. Even if could select something inspite of all her nonsense.

Then the price is whatever comes to her mind which varies from the time u selct it to the time you buy it. There is no fixed price and it would be atleast 2000 rs more than in another silk saree shop. Then she wont allow you take the saree with you just somehow make you to keep the saree for stitching and extras. charges you a good money for that. I had the worst experience  of my life her.

Traumatizing Experience with the Owner

I would like to bring to the notice of the General Public and the Esteemed Customers of Kumudhini Silks, Cunningham Road about a horrifying incident that happened to me with the Owner of the Store.

In the recent past, I visited Kumudhini Silks to purchase a Saree with a budget of Rs. 15, 000/-. Despite a thorough search I couldn’t find a Saree suiting my choice and budget. As I was about to leave the Store, the Owner spoke to me and in spite of lack of my interest, she forced me to sit down to look at some more sarees. Using her super marketing and persuasive skills she managed to convince me to agree to buy a saree which was quoted at Rs. 26, 000/- which was way above my budget. She was continuously pestering me to buy the saree and was seemingly irritated because I was not agreeing to buy the costly saree.

Finally, after much persuasion and my continued reluctance, she settled the price of the saree at Rs. 18, 000/-. When I continued to hold my ground saying that my budget was Rs. 15, 000/- only she finalized the price at Rs. 17, 000/-. During this entire period of negotiation, the choice of her words and attitude towards me was very condescending which was far from the Sales etiquette. I remained calm and composed, at the same time conveying to her that I would look for a saree suiting my choice and budget in a different store. She literally forced and coaxed me to buy the saree without giving up on me as she didn’t want to be seen as failing to sell me the saree.

At last, I completed the payment procedure and walked out of the store with the saree. As I stepped out of the store I recollected her rude behaviour and choice of words that hurt me deeply. I felt that I wouldn’t be happy wearing this saree as it would remind me of the experience with this Owner for the rest of my life. Immediately I went back to the store to express my feelings and return the saree. When I met the Owner to express my desire to return the saree, the treatment she meted out to me was totally astonishing.

She pulled the saree from my hands and placed it in front of the photos of Gods as if praying for my well-being. Suddenly she dragged me to the exit door and shouted at me to get out of her store! I almost tripped and lost my balance. I called up my sister to pick me up from her store as I was not sure I could go home on my own after being hurt so much by another woman.

I have decided never ever to enter Kumudhini Silks in my lifetime. I gave away the saree to a distant relative as I didn’t want to hold on to those bad memories. What was astonishing to me was that during our negotiation she was continuously telling me that lots of Gowdas were her customers and those women would shop in her store with the ill gotten money of their husbands. According to her, all Gowdas are corrupt and don’t have taste in sarees.

Friends, when I shared my experience with a few of my relatives they told me that she is generally rude with most of her customers and many of them don’t go back to her store again. This Woman is an insult to womanhood as she treats others with contempt as she feels that she is born with a Golden Spoon while the rest of us are beggars privileged to buy sarees from her divine store. Please do think about my experience before going to Kumudhini Silks.

Beware!

Have been shopping for my wedding which will be in dec 2012. was looking for a lehenga and remembered somebody suggesting this place. situated on busy cunningham rd, near sigma mall. we took time to locate it... it is on the 1st floor with a very old, faded board.. clearly suggesting that the owners have no interest in attracting customers. our 1st opinion was.. may be its well established. we climbed onto the 1st floor...the stairway had a shady atmosphere. left our footwear outside, idols of gods were kept rt in front as soon as u enter the shop and appeared like one of those olden-times-place. the owner is a lady, by the shop's name itself. now it all starts.. she is supposed to be a medical doctor..?mbbs. boasts highly of herself and degrades the medical profession and substantiates for the reason she not pursuing medicine further.

We slowly realised why the medical field does not tolerate such ppl. I wanted a lehenga. there were no stitched ready ones to have a look at nor any designs or a catalogue. she insisted that we keep faith in her and proceed. we chose some material and ordered it. she quoted a final price of 22k. it was quite some amount but its my wedding and we were ready. after spending time there, giving measurements it was increased to 28k.. we made a mistake of not leaving the place then. mind you, none of the saris there have a price tag, prices are adjusted looking at customers. many are seconds.

So ppl buy in bulk to give away during weddings. she claims of the reddys and hi-fi politicians coming to her and it clearly shows, as u speak to her that there is no effort of custumer csre/ satisfaction 'cos the owner is satisfied with the black money business. the very same evening we called back, had a feeling of being cheated, asking to cancel our order and that we are ready to buy sarees for the 10k which was paid as advance. she slapped the phone on our face saying it cant be done , already its cut and gone for stitching. Days passed, due date crossed, called again saying we are in a hurry .. we also told her (which is the fact) that the guy's side wishes me to wear saree for reception and so I wud be wearing lehenga for the engagement.. so to hurry up. we paid a visit , the tailor there , may be by mistake, told us that the work was not even started!!!!!! we were not showed the product and she started humiliating, abusing us that she had never seen customers like us.

I just cant put everything here. its unbelievable. to the extent that she almost slapped us. felt miserable, ppl around told us that similar treatment was common to both earlier customers and even policeman...  she had called my mom names which wud make anybody breakdown. after a month I am writing this, letting out my frustration.... if anybody still wants to go there, teach her a lesson. otherwise, save ur time and money. dont repeat our mistake.
