Have been shopping for my wedding which will be in dec 2012. was looking for a lehenga and remembered somebody suggesting this place. situated on busy cunningham rd, near sigma mall. we took time to locate it... it is on the 1st floor with a very old, faded board.. clearly suggesting that the owners have no interest in attracting customers. our 1st opinion was.. may be its well established. we climbed onto the 1st floor...the stairway had a shady atmosphere. left our footwear outside, idols of gods were kept rt in front as soon as u enter the shop and appeared like one of those olden-times-place. the owner is a lady, by the shop's name itself. now it all starts.. she is supposed to be a medical doctor..?mbbs. boasts highly of herself and degrades the medical profession and substantiates for the reason she not pursuing medicine further.
We slowly realised why the medical field does not tolerate such ppl. I wanted a lehenga. there were no stitched ready ones to have a look at nor any designs or a catalogue. she insisted that we keep faith in her and proceed. we chose some material and ordered it. she quoted a final price of 22k. it was quite some amount but its my wedding and we were ready. after spending time there, giving measurements it was increased to 28k.. we made a mistake of not leaving the place then. mind you, none of the saris there have a price tag, prices are adjusted looking at customers. many are seconds.
So ppl buy in bulk to give away during weddings. she claims of the reddys and hi-fi politicians coming to her and it clearly shows, as u speak to her that there is no effort of custumer csre/ satisfaction 'cos the owner is satisfied with the black money business. the very same evening we called back, had a feeling of being cheated, asking to cancel our order and that we are ready to buy sarees for the 10k which was paid as advance. she slapped the phone on our face saying it cant be done , already its cut and gone for stitching. Days passed, due date crossed, called again saying we are in a hurry .. we also told her (which is the fact) that the guy's side wishes me to wear saree for reception and so I wud be wearing lehenga for the engagement.. so to hurry up. we paid a visit , the tailor there , may be by mistake, told us that the work was not even started!!!!!! we were not showed the product and she started humiliating, abusing us that she had never seen customers like us.
I just cant put everything here. its unbelievable. to the extent that she almost slapped us. felt miserable, ppl around told us that similar treatment was common to both earlier customers and even policeman... she had called my mom names which wud make anybody breakdown. after a month I am writing this, letting out my frustration.... if anybody still wants to go there, teach her a lesson. otherwise, save ur time and money. dont repeat our mistake.
