I have been using Incredimail for awhile now, and have had alot of fun sending emails to people, and receiving emails in Incredimail's unique way. The only trouble I had once was working out how to transfer the data(where to retrieve it from to the new computer), but thankfully I managed to work it out. Being a premium customer at gold level, I have had the best of everything; reliable quick service when help was needed, and plenty of stuff for creative emails. I'll find any excuse to send an email, just because it is so much fun, and look forward to seeing my notifier of incoming emails.

I have a couple of suggestions to improve Incredimail even more: After downloading whole sections because it is quicker, it would be nice to be able to delete the few you don't want; also Magentic's screensavers(another wonderful product of Incredimail, with beautiful wall papers also), it would be nice to be able to delete any that are not wanted so the random viewing doesn't show them. Thankyou to whoever designed Incredimail's email service, it's a pleasure to use. The best thing about it is the cheap price, it's affordable even for a low income earner like myself.

Well-designed product, poor customer service
Jul 06, 2007 05:07 AM 4718 Views

Incredimail is fun and interesting.  It is easy to customize and to set up.   It imports contact information well.  Importing messages is much trickier.  I enjoyed using the free version to receive mail, but did not want advertisments in my outgoing mail.  I upgraded to the Premium version.  Things went very well for a day or so.

A day after I upgraded to Premium the advertisements reappeared.  My first contact with customer support was fast and responsive.  They asked for a screenshot.  Several days and several requests later, no repsonse.  I tried removing and re-installing, but that did not work.  Customer support is slow and nonresponsive - and the ads are still there.  There is no telephone number to be found.  I've asked for a refund.

On another note, I was concerned about IncrediMail's monitoring of my computer.  This has been a point of discussion on several message boards.  I decided to go ahead with the product anyway after the company opened an office in New York and changed its terms of use to have New York as the state where legal issues are resolved.

Want to get rid of Incredimail
Jan 06, 2007 02:33 AM 4996 Views

Hello

I was very happy for a while with Incredimail but now it takes forever to load and I want to cancel my paid premium account and am getting no where fast. Would appreciate any help you can give.

About two weeks ago It just stopped loading and I can sit here for up to 5 minutes. I have tried to get support but cant recieve anyone. I tried to send all my messages to Outlook and that did not work either. I have many folders that I don't want to lose.

If you or anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Am I doing something wrong? I am not a computer guru, but there are times I sure wish I was. I think the software is slowing down my computer and today when I tried to delete it, my computer crashed. I got it back with Go Back, my Systemworks Antivirus program.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Incredimail's changes
Nov 07, 2005 12:22 AM 5672 Views

I purchased Incredimail sometime during my first year of using it and have been a faithful customer for four years. During that period, I've seen it through a lot of changes, dealt with its glitches (such as its dependencies on Macromedia's flash files--which is occasionally uninstalled by other ambitious uninstall programs, its occasional insistence that it ''can't find the server'' when everything else is working fine and the list goes on), but they weren't anything I couldn't work around. I liked the notifiers because I could customize them to tell me which person had sent me e-mail. For a person who carries on numerous e-mail conversations with people who don't like ''IMing'' this is a handy tool. And, I have to admit, I'm a sucker for pretty stationary. I like eye candy--so what? :) One of its best features was the junk mail filter which made ''separating the sheep from the rams'' a breeze.

I wasn't happy when they went to ''gold gallery'' (offering lots of additional notifers, stationary and animations all for a large additional charge) but they left enough behind to keep me happy. I wasn't thrilled with the links it always installed on my desktop whenever I upgraded, but I deleted them with no trouble.

However, I made the mistake of upgrading Incredimail this evening only to discover that it had changed the JunkFilter to something called JunkmailPlus and it refused to turn the feature back on without my purchasing just that feature for a yearly supscription price of $39.95!!

I emailed support and began checking reviews around the internet. I'm not the only unhappy customer. In fact, it looks like the number is growing with every upgrade. I find it most disturbing that they don't warn customers that this is going to happen. There's nothing in the newsletters or in the screens one clicks through to get to the download. This smacks of open dishonesty and greed. The upgrade is a trap.

What were these people thinking? With all the free e-mail programs out there, as well as the open source software, not to mention Outlook Express which comes as a part of every Microsoft Office program, this was stupid move.

Oh--and the response to my e-mail? A statement that I can download an earlier version. No I can't. I looked. However, I did a system restore and recovered the older version from there so I'm good for now. They also offered me a ten dollar coupon. Gee thanks. So in a year when I have to resubscribe, how much will it be? I gave the customer service agent an ''eyeful'' in response and sent him links to all the unhappy reviews I'd found. He then offered me a $20.00 coupon and raved about all the new features of the filter--most of which are in the older version. I won't bother to respond (though I did wonder if I pressed the issue, whether they'd offer a $30.00 coupon)

It's a shame really. What a sad way for what was a pretty good program to go out. Greed is a bad thing.

Incredimail!!! Just for your own eyes
Sep 24, 2005 12:57 PM 4511 Views

Hello to all,

Writing about IncrediMail, let me tell you about this mail client, its not any mail sever but a software which downloads your mail from your mail server i.e. hotmail.com and yahoo.co.in but not yahoo.com, it is same as outlook express, the only difference is 3D animated alerts etc… which is just for your eyes and it gives you email background layouts which can only be seen in Incredimail software, and not on browser or outlook express.

Incredimail is a good software if you want it for your own eyes, but its useless if you want to make pleasant mails for receivers, because the receiver wont be able to see anything which you beautified in your mails, reason is receiver don’t have incredimail software and probably receiver is using browser to check emails, because nowadays there are lot of emails which contains fatal virus which are executable is it downloaded on your computer hard disk and by mistake you place your cursor on it and, you don’t even need to open such virus email, just placing of cursor is enough on it, that email envelop opens and the virus file gets executes automatically, so it is better to check mails on browser rather then downloading directly into your email software.

As far as incredimail is concerned, very first thing about this mail client is, it consumes lot of memory of your computer and makes your computer slower, secondly, in a month time 3D animated email alert will stop functioning as it use to function when you newly installed it, reason, all those services are for premium paid users, and not for free software, and what will happen is a white rectangle patch will be left on your monitor when it gives email alert, by the way let me inform readers premium patch & cracks are also available on net, but that’s not going to solve the problem regarding memory of your computer.

If any quires regarding incredimail you can contact me, I will surely guide you in this matter.

Hello ... Email has finally evolved
May 12, 2005 11:50 AM 6414 Views

“Ask the experienced rather than the learned” – Arabic Proverb. So, please listen to my true experiences about this so called “Incredible” Incredimail.com and then decide whether it is really Incredible or Credible.

First what is Incredimail ?

How do you send & receive your emails at present ? 99% of you all would be aware of the mail client ‘Outlook Express’ which is extensively used as the platform to download messages from the POP Server and enables you to view your mails offline.

Incredimail is a similar mail client but with a difference. Sending & receiving mails via Incredimail is really an exciting experience with its lively animations & unique fonts. Everyone of us have a child within our ownselves & I am sure, that ‘child’ would unquestionably get an ecstatic pleasure from the animated dogs, elephants and the romantic icons offered by Incredimail.

Composing Messages :

In Outlook Express:

The Outlook Express (OE) has every basic feature that you require for your official usage of the mailing system. Additionally, with OE, you could compose new messages using preset Stationeries like Ivy, Story Book, Glacier, Party Invitation, Chess, Holiday letter etc. etc. or just simply compose and send ur email message without using any stationery.

In Incredimail :

With Incredimail, even composing a message becomes real Fun for you. Here, you have a variety of exceptional categories of wallpapers, animated animals & smileys, coloured backgrounds and a lot more funny stuffs are available in the style-box and you could choose anything as your background for the new mail. You could also paste a number of smileys (like animated smiling face, crying face, surprised face, a breathing rose, a frog croaking) in your mail which you feel would be relevant to the corresponding contexts. For sure, the person receiving your beautiful email would be greatly impressed !!!

What else could you add to your composed email messages – In Incredimail, you have lot more ….. Just read on …….

Sounds : You really have beautiful lively background sounds like a Shattering Glass, A scary Booooooofff sound, A recorded ‘I love You’ voice, A repeated “Garr Garr Garr…” guttural sound etc. etc. which could be included to your mail message.

Signatures: Footnotes to all your outgoing messages could be set as you wish and also your signatures could be drawn by you and appended to all your emails. Or a signature of yours with a beautiful animated rose beside – anything you wish !!

Emoticons: This terminology became very popular after the introduction of the same by Incredimail.com – The animated smileys and the dancing characters / letters are called Emoticons. Including these funny stuffs in your mails add lot of spice to your outgoing messages.

This is as far as your outgoing messages are concerned. So, depending on your mood or the occasion, you could choose your email backgrounds. The best part is that, the person at the receiving end need not have to download anything or subscribe to Incredimail, in order to receive your colourful mail message.

Receiving Emails :

When you have an incoming email, won't it be wonderful to hear your computer say “You have a Mail Madam (/Sir)!” or a Dog suddenly appearing on your Screen & opens up a dialog indicating the new incoming mail to u ? Yes, believe me, with Incredimail, all this is possible !!!! Not only this, hundreds of such Notifying Agents are offered in ‘Incredimail’…! You could choose anyone as your default ‘Mail Notifier’.

Other Features of Incredimail.com :

Already you have seen about composing / sending & receiving emails via Incredimail. There are lot of pretty other exquisite features too here – just for you ……

Sounds: While composing you get the old typewriter typewriting sound, which gives you a lively feeling of typing in a typewriter.

Other Animations: While you press the ‘Send’ Button for your composed email, you could catch sight of a high-speed fluttering rocket or the shuttering of a glass just notifying you that your mail is just going …….. you still have a lot more !

Address Book: As in the case of Outlook Express, at Incredimail too, you have the Address Book in which you could store your contacts along with their address, email IDs, phone numbers etc.

Folders: Apart from the basic folders like Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Drafts etc., as with OE, at Incredimail also, it is possible to create sub-folders and store your messages.

What’s New ?

Sound Recorder: U dictate your own message and with the help of your microphone, you could record your voice (in WAP) and incorporate it in your outgoing message.

Spell & Grammar checkcould be performed to your composed new messages.

•With its Letter Creator, you could create your own letters with various 3D background effects.

I am sure with this review, lot of you would have become very keen about entering this new world of ‘INCREDIMAIL – Email has Finally Evolved’, being its most popular Catchphrase.

But before proceeding with its “Downloading – All For Free” – Pls WAIT !!!! Read on ……………

Lots of Eye Fluff, Little Substance
May 11, 2005 12:01 AM 3697 Views

IncrediMail is great eye candy, but an average, at best, email client. Not friendly to either the system or to other email software of any sort (especially other email clients) It's formats are recognized by no one but IncrediMail.

It is also, extremely resource intensive and seriously bloats the Windows registry with junk used only to further its own needs.

The biggest price you'll pay (whether you get it 'free' [ha!, ha!, nothing is free], or buy an upgrade), is when/if you finally decide it's not worth using. You'll uninstall, but you'll be left with the dross! This includes >512Kb of registry junk! And for that you'll have 3 choices:

1) Typical registry utility/cleaner (probably won't work)

2) Software dedicated to cleaning up after IncrediMail (yes, there's a demand, so this software does exist - may not work)

3) Clean it up yourself with a registry editor (works only if you know what you're doing in the registry, else may screw up your whole system)

Sounds pretty glum? Yup! It is!

Incredimail --- incredibly bad customer service!!!
Aug 13, 2004 01:48 AM 3841 Views

I purchaed Incredimailabout a year ago. Recently, my old computer died, and I cannot ressurect it long enough to connect it to the internet to remove my Incredimail registration codes, so that I may install it on my new computer.

I'm a PREMIUM VIP customer, --- one of those guaranteed to receive prompt service in the event of a techical difficulty, yet, I've been writing to them for over a week, at the time of this posting, and no one has even bothered to pick up a single one of my messages.

They also have no technical support available by phone! Incredibly bad customer service!

Not 4 Me
Apr 30, 2004 01:10 AM 3813 Views

Some one from I know from MouthShut, sent me an e-mail, from Incredimail.

Iwas using Outlook Express at the time, and they only had a few options for backgrounds.

When I went to the web site there was a free one month trial offer.

I first saw a demonstration before I downloaded it. I was very slow when I downloaded it, (it took a half an hour), at about 4.60mb.

After I downloaded it, and transferred all of my e-mail addresses. I tried to send all of my friends an e-mail to show them how beautiful the backgrounds were.

I loved it because I could sign my name like I was writing it with a pen.

They got the e-mails but when they tried to send a message back, I never received it. How do I know? Because they sent me an e-mail to Outlook Express telling me that.

My computer crashed. When I got it back up, I saw that all of my friends e-mail addresses were gone.

I stopped using this service and I removed the service from my computer.

When the month was up, the Company sent me an e-mail to my Outlook Express address , (I had to give them another e-mail address when I signed up for the service), and wanted me to pay for the service.

Itold them I wasn't using it and didn't want it, because I never received any replies from the e-mails. The only e-mail I had received was the one from them welcoming me.

By this time Outlook Express upgraded there service. I can choose from a lot of backgrounds, send e-cards, animated e-mail and add funny faces.

I can choose what sound I want to hear, (like you can on IncrediMail), and they even tell me when there is a problem. A little tab comes down and tells me, and they fix it while I am on line.

Idecided that with free e-mail services available why should I pay for this one.

Not recommended.

Thanks for reading my review.

Incredimail Customer Service
Mar 17, 2004 05:43 AM 6975 Views

I bought the Incredimail Premium Package and it worked great. Lots of bells and whistles to make your emails fun. However, I recently had to reformat my hard drive which meant I had to reinstall Incredimail. This shouldn't have been a problem. I went to the website and downloaded the latest free version and when I went to enter my registration number I realized I didn't have it. No problem, I clicked on the link on the Incredimail website and requested that my registration code be recovered and sent to me.

I even had a copy of my invoice with everything on it EXCEPT the registration code. So, 2 weeks and 7 requests later, I still haven't received my registration code. There are no phone numbers available and all the recover registration code links go back to the same message box that accomplishes nothing. Incredimail might be great but their Customer Service is the worst.

IncredibleMail Support Sucks!!!
Feb 17, 2004 10:09 AM 8382 Views

There are many glowing reports about this software but they all overlook one fact. Support from IncrediMail sucks!!! I purchased their Premium XE package 3 months ago. Three weeks ago I had a problem which prevents me from using their program.

A window pops up stating; ''Critical error has occured. IncrediMail cannot continue this session.'' There is no other information given. I am unable to do anything further and my computer freezes. In addition the problems associated with IncrediMail have deleted my Outlook Express and I now have no email.

I have sent 3 requests for help to their ''so called'' support team and have had no response. As is so often the case with these software companies, once they get your money they no longer know you.

Sure, use free IncrediMail with all it's advertising and popups on your messages but don't send them any money. You'll never hear from them again.

Incredimail works w/Hotmail
Feb 09, 2004 03:07 AM 5018 Views

I just got the incredimail premium. Enjoyed it. Some how managed to work w/my Hotmail account. Couldn't get it to work with AOL. I realize now after I bought the Premium package w/letter $49.95. Can cancel before 14days for a refund but I can't seem to get a hold of them. I like the Premium Plus package but if I can do close to the same thing with the free one.

Also I thought with the $49.95 I would get the software also. But I can't seem to get a hold of someone to ask. Does anyone know how to get in contact with INcredimail customer service?

The reason I got Incredimail is we are planing on cancel'g AOL And wanted an email program that would let you know when you got mail.

Netzero, SBC Yahoo, Bellsouth or AT&T don't notifie you when you have income'g mail: by voice or by mail box lever.... Does anyone know of a ISP that is less then $15.00 month that has a income'g mail notifier?

Anxiously waiting for your feedback and replies.

When I first heard of incredimail I downloaded the free version. I loved the cute mail notifiers that let you know you have new mail and the nice stationery for brightening my e-mails up. I liked it so much that I then purchased the paid version and proceeded to download all kinds of backgrounds, sounds, e-cards and so on.

Then my computer kept freezing up and the voice feature on incredimail would not work so I tried to e-mail them several times with no response. I tried the help files which did not help with the problem I was having.

I am the type of person that has a lot of e-mail folders and store many e-mails in them. When I first put incredimail on my machine all my folders from outlook were transferred over so I assumed by unistalling incredimail my folders would return to outlook and proceeded with the un-install.

When I went back to outlook all my folders were gone. I had to go back and download incredimail again to get to them. I tired to export them out but it would not work so I had to forward every single one, one at a time then go through the unistall again and go into outlook and make folders and file everything.

When I got another computer I decided to try incredimail again and it would only give me the free version, not the one I had paid for. Again I wrote them several times with no responses so I gave up using it and will never download it again.

Incredimail Upgrade Sucks
Jan 31, 2004 02:11 PM 4399 Views

I was gung ho on this software. I spent hours looking for the ''right'' Incrediletters to download. I wrote all of my friends and told them to get this software. I was about to purchase the Premium and the Letter Creator software. It is a good thing that I didn't waste my money on this piece of junk. Now I have to delete this software and go back to Outlook.

Oh, did I mention that the Outlook version of Incredimail has major bugs. The system crashes when you open Outlook. I had to delete it and now Outlook is working fine. I can even send email to several friends at once without getting that stupid unknown error message.

I downloaded the upgrade to the free software on January 26, 2004. Since then, I have lost lots of downloaded Incrediletters. I cannot send one email with two email addresses and all emails.

All emails to Incredimail have been returned as unknown. I admit, it was fun while it lasted.

Remember me for my E-mails !
Jan 01, 2004 10:43 PM 4383 Views

“Hey Chhail, tell me, how do you do, do you do, the things that you do (not the Roxette number!) to your E-mails? They look so wonderful!” Don’t be surprised if the girl whom you send your e-mail replies back in such a similar manner! Actually, it always makes sense to me to make her feel like a princess!

Ahem, now I am no magician, but I did make an effort for that ‘special someone’ to send my E-mail through Incredimail! Go ahead and make you friends feel special! Show her that you really care for her! If she were interested in you, she would surely read your e-mail more than once and trust me; it gives her a great feeling reading such a beautiful e-mail with shows your effort!

Okay, so, I can now feel that I got most of you readers interested in reading this article further ahead (I hope for a noble reason)! So, here we set sail again!

Actually, I happened to know about Incredimail from one of the online ads when it was first launched. I must admit that it did raise my eyebrows (I can never do that consciously...wonder why not?!) at that time and I was wondering where’s the catch. The reason being that it was free and it was out to compete against the already established outlook express. So, I decided to wait a while rather than being a baby boomer!

Some of my friends said that it might be a spyware and it takes lot of resources (the latter which I agree with). However, after much research, I came to the conclusion that it is not a spyware but it just shows some ads on the insignificant space on the top right. So, it was worth trying it out and it did not disappoint me ever!

There are two versions of this E-mail client- one is a freeware and the other is a premium version without ads. I personally feel that its not required going for the premium version. Some people also comment that the customer service for the freeware version is virtually non-existent. I can’t say about that, as I had no complaints so far with more than one year’s of usage.

If you like to add life to your e-mail and like to show your personality with your write e-mails, Incredimail is probably a much more better option than Outlook Expresses as with Incredimail you can send both formal and informal E-mails. And the best thing is that they are constantly working on improving its quality.

It has a host of features like fonts, letter styles and backgrounds for different occasions and themes like seasons, everyday life, festivals and so on.

It also has great animation and sound add-ons to suit different occasions.

Besides these attractive features, it has an e-card service, which is worth reckoning.

It has a good spam control feature where you have the option of bouncing the E-mails back to the unwanted senders.

The best part is that you can integrate several web-based e-mail services, which have POP, IMAP features including Hotmail!

You have the option of choosing American or British Dictionary.

Apart from these you have regular features like read receipt, flagging and marking an E-mail as important!

So, dear readers, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and download Incredimail from https://incredimail.com . It just takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes depending on your internet connection.

And no, I am not getting any commission from Incredimail for writing this review, although I wouldn’t mind it ;-)

Keep smiling!

Ciao, Chhail Chhabila :-)

Just as the name suggests Incredimail is indeed a great software to have about if you are fond of a lot of interesting smileys, great pictures for greetings etc...If you get bored after using all the stuff provided you can download great pictures from the site itself...

There are some good notifiers also to say you have got mail, and when you do, instead of rushing to read the mail it makes you stop a while to admire them....Infact my favourite notifier is the puppy who carries the mail in its mouth and wags its tail and when we open the mail it digs inside and disappears...wow that is cool stuff.....

But I noticed that incredimail slowed my memory speed, but I guess this wont happen with pentium users. Also people who dont like waiting for the mail to get uploaded will find it a trifle slower than sending by outlook express but the reward is also great when you get back happy replies....So go on ...go mailing with incredimail which can be downloaded from incredimail.com...happy mailing

Your mail Sirrrrrrrr
May 15, 2003 03:27 PM 3760 Views

I came to know about the incredimail e-mail client name many days before while I was searching some webpages. But there was no opportunity for me to download it because the data rate was very slow in my modem. While the download speed increased I downloaded(!) from https://incredimail.com.

This version of incredimail(Incredimail Xe) has won my heart. It is totally superb. It makes the work more easier when I want to compose a mail/to send a mail/to receive a mail.It allows the email user to access multiple email

accounts and to add animated pictures or simple greeting messages more easily.

It is mindblowing. The sound ''your mailSir'' is incredible. It is a new email experience and changing the look of emails. It has all the characteristics of Outlook Express and MIcrosoft Outlook. Address book is also included in this version.

It has few disadvantages. The disadvantage is

problem of data rate:-While the data rate is slow it makes the work very tough to send a email.

I am using the general version of incredimail and thinking to upgrade it to its premium version.
