It's very special and can run on any computer or laptop with any operating system. It is virus proof as it doesn't bring virus to the devices. Hi friends ! I am sharing experiences with the D-link DWP 157 3G Modem.

Two years ago I am purchasing that , 3 G modem 1250 /- Rs on our local shop. In our area are rarely so their LAN ( Local area network ) was not available . And I need the internet because , work on laptop .

I am try first Docomo card . Because in our area that card have more range. But it's not give proper range .

So , after that I am trying , Airtel because its fastest network ! But I am suprise because of network ! In night only that Available . I am completing on service center they says our full area having better range of Airtel how its not possible to catch ?

When I am setting on my room that time some slowly that works ! Some times it can be come after half hour ! When I am seat on outside then it's some time connect easily but its not possible to setting inside .

One time , I am inserted my memory card , and that not showing . I am again pull outside and again trying to attach but it's not possible . I am cannot understand so that attach on Mobile then mobile also not showing !

After checking on service center they says its corrupted . My all data are lost because of that modem.

The video call , phonecalls , or Send email , message then its taken more load ! Sometimes some download that time suddenly network was always gone. The most of the people's having good experience ! But my problem is that it cannot be catch the network !

I am not using one month after that , because of not working it can be zero percent catch network ! I think I am losing my money and time also ! Because of that performance my laptop Also some time hang !

Hi friends I bought this product in 2014 in vijaywada Krishna D-Link stores . It's cost is 1899 rs .Model no; DWP-157 3G and my product IMEI NO: 359564051473157 . It is easy to install but it only compact able in window 7and 8 . It's have convenient design to compact usb powered adapter uses an internal antenna and it requires no batteries . It's have wonderful specifications it's uses to make a phone call from our pc and it shows how much the net speed upload and download and it show messages and phone book, it shows about data card settings for converting net into 2g or 3g . They said it gives 21mbps speed but it gives only 500kbps while the net speed in 3g . It is also a pathetic product we used this product handle with care because now a days the sim cards are available in 3 in 1 designs . I used idea sim slot in my modem one day I am removing my sim while it's one of the layer of the sim cards is stucked in modem's pin . I removed it very carefully but no use its damaged . It's don't working from that day . My product is under warranty in that time but they said it's your fault it's not fault of the manufacturing defect. My 1900 rs is waste its working only 4 months.

I bough this Moden From Amazon.in on  January, 2017D-link DWP 157 3G Modem 21mbps internet speed . But why not for me? It only shows in the specification of the product that the Modem has the speed of 21mbps but I never experience the speed which said by the company even I never get the internet speed up-to 28kbps . this 3G product do not support 3G even not providing the genuine 2G speed also . If you connect the modem with your PC is shows always 2G network. This product is now garbage for me and also I could not sale this product to any of my friends cause no one would like to purchase this garbage. There was my bad luck when I decided to purchase the D-Link 157 3G Modem . I also Lost money when I recharged my Airtel 3G plan  For Rs.880 for using the service with this modem but unfortunately the modem Not supports 3G that's why my Rs.880 is also waste for this poor product .Overall this was my very bad experience with this poor performed modem . This can never give the right value of your money . Do Not buy the Waste one . there are many online internet routers are available to purchase in the online shopping sites Under Rs.10, 000 . I highly recommend JioFi which is the best product now a days in my point of view . I am also using this.

I bought this product since December, 2015.It is a good product I ever seen.Nice looking.Also it use to windows 10 through fileunsigner.exe .It is a good one, I like it's signal.

RED LIGHT ON -When you insert Sim card/wrong path

Green Light on -When you insert SD card.

Blue lights On -When you added Sim card and SD card .

BLUE LIGHTS(going on-of)-Your data is going on.

It's give you one year warranty.

I was bought it in 1500 rupees in my near shop.

It's maximum speed is 10Mb/sec

And I found 1Mb/sec

I buy this product second hand but the speed of internet is so good 3g speed get 655kbps or higher. this is the 3 and 2g supported modem and the service is good .I search price rate on internet the cost of this modem is so cheap.

the modem size and look is so good also u you use this as card reader. you can check your messages on d link's app this app get in this modem you are check your check your internet speed how pack remain see on app. if you search a better 3 g modem I recommend this device.

D-link is the best modem brand I ever purchased 6 moths before I buy still now it work without any trouble not only that you can use any sim card in this modem without any configuration and you switch easily with 2g and 3g and the LED indicator also gives a better feel and it comes with lot of colour variants and disadvantage is it is not having 4g connectivity. It best suitable for new modem users and badget players the price of this device is around 1000 rs.

Its going around two year that I have using D-link modem. It is compatible with 2G/3G GSM Network.

When I brought this it cost me Rs 1250/- wit one year of warranty.

“This modem is designed to enable users with access to High Speed Internet via HSPA+/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS Network which offers a maximum data transfer rate download to 21Mbps & upload to 5.76 Mbps” all this is written on its cover but actually it is not fully true as from my experience I have recorded its maximum downloading speed was 1.5 Mbps in 3G GPRS Network.

Although it is a good modem as it has multiple of features which are-

• Voice call

• SMS

• Phonebook

• USSD Service

• Internal Antena

• USB 2.0 interface.

This modem has also good Network in 2G GPRS.

I also use this modem for data transfer using memory card which transfer data with good speed around 7 Mbps. I also use this modem in place of card reader.

Sometimes it also creates problems like automatic cut off network but it happens very rarely.

Its customer care service is superb any problem I used the no 1860 300 42255 which is its service centre no and I get the solution.

I use this modem as a hot spot. For iBall hotspot I download the soft AP application. In this way I can be able to use internet both in my laptop and in my mobile.

First things first IT IS NOT A WIRELESS MODEM.So you just cant however plugged in some power usb socket and create hotspot.Though you can create and use soft wifi using cmd on any version of windows see this link

Hello I am Arindam Ojha I am going to review about D-Link DWP 157 3G Modem.After lot of servey I bought this modem last month.Design and built quality is very good, excellence performance from this 3g data card, it brings enormous speed on 3G network, looks very good ind speed is excellence.It takes any sim card.I can use any gsm netword from this devicee, it has Voice calling facility which is very helpfull to receive call while walking on laptop, it works both 2g as well as 3g network very good, i never faced any network coverage problem or any incompatibility issue in my device, It serves GSM, EDGE, GPRS, UMTS, HSUPA, HSDPA, UMTS Network types. I find this modem best in its class for 3G network. Along with its beautiful design, it is faster and reliable. Before that I was using Reliance modem which was also good, but it is much better.

HiToday I am here with D-link dwp 157 modem. I have purchased this modem for my new windows 10 laptop. Now the actual problem starts. Here I faced difficulty in installing in windows 10 computer. When I try to install it shows the following message "installation is prevented by your administrator". This problem is not faced in previous operating system like windows 7 etc.

This shows company's lack of interest in upgrading hardware features to make compatible with future os. they are not aimed at producing worth full products. This makes them to loose customers like me and gain dissatisfaction. I humbly request them to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

HI.I am gonna be write review about D-link DWP 157 modem.I have been using this device since 6 months.I didn't face any problem with this device.Net connectivity is good compared to Huawei modem.Before this purchase, I used Huawei dongle(modem).I faced lot of problem with Huawei dongle.So I decided to upgrade to  D-link modem.While browsing internet with D-link modem.

It gives maximum speed even I am using 2G network.D-link supports both 2g&3g networks.It's a Universal device, means we can browse Internet by inserting any  operator Sim with in it.This device supports to make Call, Message while browsing Internet.But some lag faces while we make a call, i.e Internet got paused some time until the call can be disconnected.Customer support service of D-link is also good.

Overall I am so happy as a D-link modem user with awesome Internet browsing experience with this device.

This is a very good product from D-link which is a trusted brand for Routers and Modems.

I purchased it online at 998 INR since I was looking for 3G connectivity on my laptop for travelling purpose. It is like a dongle which can be connected to a notebook or laptop and we can enjoy any network 3G connectivity. Best part is the network can also be shared.

The device is pretty good looking with sharp features and it is very easy to use. Just plug in the device to a USB port after inserting the SIM card and enjoy the network connectivity.

We can carry this device wherever we go.Bad aspect is that it does not have 4G support hence you can not use a 4G SIM. Max speed of 21 Mbps can be supported.Hence if you are looking for a dongle which can support 3G speed I will surely recommend this product. It is value for money product.

I Like D-Link Data Modem over Huwaei because, D-Link has a very simple software. even in slower computers can also D-Link works fastly. But the D-Link modems gets heated after 2-3 hours of continuous use and I have to unplug it and I can use it again after 5-10 mins only.

Some of the tabs that connect to internet using dongle cannot recognize D-Link modems, where Huwaei modems does.

But another competetor for Huwaei modem has certain problems:

The software bundled with Huwaei Modems have so many features that even a medium to fast computers also becomes slow. Huwaei modems displays ads in their modem software.

Huwaei modem is configured so that you will be redirected to Huwaei website once you have connected to internet, however you can modify that.

D-Linkl dont have any of the above problems above.

one or two problems with D-Link modems other than that D-Link modems gives best service.
