So, my bad experience with Ahaa goes a long way back - a few years ago AND recently.
About 5-6 years ago, when I'd got my dining table, and the entire furniture of my son's room done from this store which is run by a couple, the edges of my son's bed were extremely sharp. Anyone who might have hit it, would've landed severe cuts - the kind that need stitches.
While the couple agreed and seemed to understand, they did nothing to send anyone to fix it after repeated calling.
This was my first brush with them.
Few weeks ago, I go back, because I know that their wood and finish was of a good quality, expecting that service would be better this time. Sadly, I was wrong.
I interacted with their manager, Mr Sridhar. Placed the order for a side board, selected the design and said would send the advance across. I was delayed, and sent the advance a week later, by when Mr Sridhar did not even remember/save the design I'd finalised.
I searched it out all over again. The order went through, and I was made to pay the entire amount before delivery. After repeated requests to send the delivery on time, the people arrived late on both days they stopped delivery. I had to drop my appointment in half and come back to take the order, only to realise that it was missing a shelf, which was clearly part of the order.
To make things worse, instead of having me select the knobs and handles beforehand, I was sent the knobs and handles home, and the people say in my house and drilled it then, making a mess, and taking up my time which otherwise could've been saved.
I have called them time and again to follow up on the shelf that is still to arrive, with no definite reply, even after I was promised that it would be done within a day or two. It's been a week now.
While there furniture and designs clearly outdo their levels of service, I wouldn't recommend anyone to expect any after sale service from this store!
