Ahaa Furniture Store, Bangalore

We recently got our interiors done by Ahaa in Ajmera. Abhijeet initially promised a lot of things but eventually we found the whole team to be most un-professional. I did their payment in advance and after that Abhijeet didn't even bother to visit and check if the work was done properly.

In the process of building the wardrobes- the workers broke a portion of the bedroom wall and have still not replaced a kitchen cabinet which had a scratch while fitting. The quality of work done is quite shoddy.

You have to do repeated follow ups with the team and they never call you to give you the status of work. The promised timeline of 2 weeks was extended to more than 1.5 months. There are many smaller carpenters who are much more professional and responsive.

It seems like Ahaa picks up more work than they manage. Overall- a very unprofessional company.

I was looking for some solid teak furniture for my new home. That is when I came across Ahaa. I visited their shop in June 1 week. I found their furniture were pretty expensive compared to other stores. But after I spoke to Pramod he explained that this is going to be a life time investment and its worth it. I was convinced enough to buy. I ordered for 3 cots, 1 dressing table and 1 6/6 TV unit. Everything seemed good till then. Then came the actual "patience testing" waiting period.

Before placing the order I was told they will deliver in 3 to 4 weeks. After I paid 50% money while placing the order, they changed it to 5 to 6 weeks delivery. Pramod assured he will try delivering it within 3 or 4 weeks itself. 5 to 6 weeks is just to be on safer side. I started following up after 4 weeks. Finally after so many calls, the inspection got over on the 7th week. And I paid the remaining 50% money.

Now, it has been 8 weeks waiting period. I might get the furniture on Monday.  And I have kind of lost interest in the furniture itself :) Am not really sure whether its worth so long waiting and so much of investment or not!!! Also, I need to check the quality after delivery. My final piece of advice is - If you have 2+ months spare time and patience you can order at Ahaa. And I felt buying solid teak furniture doesn't really make sense. E.g. I paid 55k for 1 TV unit. If I had bought a MDF TV unit (the one I had seen @home) for 20k and after 10+ years I had an option to replace it. Now I will be stuck with a expensive TV unit for the next 30 years or so.

I will be posting my review again on the quality and the overall feel of the furniture.

I am an architect in Bangalore. I was on the look out for someone who could make good quality furniture for our clients. I was suggested the Ahaa store by a friend and decided to try them . I must say I am very impressed by them and their work. its been a few months now and thanks to them I am able to convert my designs into solid furniture for my clients. besides that , since ahaa produces everything at their factory I am able to take my clients for an onsite inspection which keeps them satisfied of the quality of wood being used.

I would highly recommend ahaa to who so ever is on the look out for value for money furniture for their homes.

We had ordered a custom dining table from Aaha furniture. From the time we have ordered Abhjit and Pramod have been receptive to our suggestions .

I recommend being very precise for the designs and sizes of each piece - table, chair etc. Write this down as clearly as possible. Also visit the factory as the work is progressing - they are very open and receptive for this.  Overall customer service is excellent.

Awesome quality furniture at Aaha. I have taken living and bed room furniture here and its just awesome. Quality is just superb.A little pricy but value for money. Good for long term.

I visited the store and got bowled over by the owner(Abhijit) with his extensive knowledge on wood works and the products were delivered on time.

The quality of work was great which has been appreciated by my friends and family alike. Highly recommend this store.

I am from Chennai and after a long search and recommendation from a friend to check out mouthshut I was finally able to find what I was looking for in furniture from this nice little store in Bengaluru. I would say the wait was worth it. I got the products well in time and exactly  how I had given my design.

It was a pleasure meeting the store manager and the owner who runs it with his wife and they both give importance to your smallest need and take your ideas well rather than imposing their own designs. like the last review helped I hope mine helps others. Good luck ahaa and thanks for everything

I have recently purchased some furniture(a utility cabinet , shoe rack , a small dining table for 3 to 4 people for the kitchen and a rack for my mandir). The store manager (pramod) helped out initially but the deal was closed with owner( abhijit). They are good people with good products and an extremely efficient factory which they let me come n visit to satisfy my trust in their capability to do the job..as a first time experience it was nice and easy. There were some minor issues on delivery but they were sorted out quite well.

Well done ahaa and definitely will come to you again, though you could be less strict about your payment policy.

Please be informed that AAHA owner is not at all keeping up his promises made while taking the orders.

I had ordered a ready made wardrobes with AAHA last year and these stupid guys spoiled the whole design and kept so many things pending till the last minute of the installation.

Now I am spending lots of money for modifying all the doors and its alignments.They don't have time sense and qualified workers.They are experts in making false promises and confusing the customers. I suggest all of you to pay an attention while buying or purchasing any items from AAHA Stores or even avoid going to AAHA,

There are many good furniture suppliers better than AAHA.

We ordered for sofa set and a dining table from ahaaa two half months back. Abhijit promised best quality in terms of wood and design and promised to give the delivery within one month. We waited and waited and dint receive any call from the place.Finally we had to follow up so much to receive the delivery after 2 and half months finally. To our horror when the product was delivered, the sofa leg was a broken piece and they have polished the joint to cover it.

The cushions were not fitting the sofas. We are totally disappointed. The defect of the broken leg was brought to Abjjit's notice when we went for inspection. Stil they have polised the sent the same defective piece. They promise superior quality teak wood and what we see is low quality wood being used (with all whites). Pathetic quality for the price they are charging. Now we have sent back the furniture. Hoping to get the defects rectified. Not sure how much time it will take now.

I purchased a dining table set and some other items from the Ahaa store. People who are looking for a good priced product and have time at there hand, this is a place to try. Their manufacturing is in-house and you can check the products at any stage of manufacturing. The owner is witty and always available. Delays you will have to bear. But when you spend your own money, its better be late but well and satisfactorily spent..

I recently I purchased a bed , dining table for 8 and other tit bits from the AHAA store..and wanted to share my experience for people on the look out for excellent teakwood furniture. From the experience of meeting the owner , placing the order, having him over for measurements , getting to see your product being made in his factory and finally getting it home..yes there were a few delays and color issues( who can guarantee time taken for a hand made product) but then at the end it was money well spent (family and friends give compliment).

To sum it up..thanks abhijit. You and your team have done fantastic job..as u said a few times to me" the wait is worth maam. Believe me. Sorry for the delay but u will be happy at the end". I am very happy. Thanks and all the best.

I got a Wooden TV stand few days back. Idiots screwed up the design and delivered. Basic simple structure they are not able to do it. Sales guy commit something and workers delivered something. Complete mismatch between sales and delivery. Finishing is waste. No guarantee on delivery date but take the money upfront..Cheap wood and polished with some paint...Waste of money n time. I would not recommend any one for this shop..

Recently I have enquired for a sofa set of 3+2+1+1, which I needed to customized, one of friend recommended to meet mr. shafeeq. And I was very happy talking to him as he explained me about the product very clearly and specifically along with 3D drawing.

Two weeks ago, I have visited Ahaa Store near Palace Ground. I was searching in Google for the address, but it showed old address, request you to call the store or Abhijeet for exact location.

The best part of my maiden visit to Ahaa store was to meet Abhijeet, I was overwhelmed by his knowledge in furniture & types of wood. Good part is, he will never impose you to take anything. You will always look forward to purchase. Though you will not have extensive range available in store. But few only will leave impact on you for long. I have ordered 1 Queen Size Bed & 1 Dining Table. Bed was delivered last week itself, where as Dining table will be delivered today or tomorrow.

I was little disappointed over the weekend, because of dining table not being delivered. I had many guest visiting to my house because Durga Puja. It was quite embarrassing for me to manage them without dining table. Which led me to post very harsh comments about Ahaa. I would like to withdraw my earlier comments, it was more of a outburst because of the embarrassment I had to face with guests. But today in the morning Abhijeet called me & explained the situation, what he is going through because of his labourers are not available because of Puja & other medical emergencies. I felt guilty about my earlier comments.

Abhijeet has confirmed that Dining table would be delivered either today or tomorrow. Hats off to Abhijeet for this quick turn around. With the minimal support of labour he was able to bring it to the delivery.

I would strongly recommend to my friends. If you are looking for unique style in furniture, Abhijeet is the person who can give you the solution. If anyone wants see the dining table or bed, I would be happy to show them the quality deliverables.

I have also discussing with Abhijeet on few new products - Table Stand, Side Table.

We bought 2 queen size beds from Koramangala branch In June 2011. One bed came with completely different color. We ordered for teak wood color but got dark cherry colored and the color was peeling off at the sides.  For the second bed, drawers were not closing right. They sent carpenter 2 times. It gets stuck every time you try to close it.

There was some negligence when they made these two beds. Even though store people didn’t respond for the complaint soon (took more than a month), they made sure the issues were addressed as they promised. Initially we were very upset but after seeing their responsibility to correct issues, we were impressed and ordered dining table. Two beds and dining table look great now. We can trust these people.  We are happy that we went with them even after our initial bad experience. I would visit their factory just to make sure the ordered design is right. I would recommend this store to anyone who wants to buy decent, good quality furniture with excellent customer service.

As a consultant I suggested ahaa furniture to one of my clients to build a eight seat dining table with chairs. The first problem is the one mr Shafeequr Rahman would promise to call but wouldnt, the second problem is the delay in delivery, they took around a week more than what was promised

The above problems are excusable, but what I culdnt digest is the finish, after repeated call and assurance about the quality of the product, me and my client were shocked to see the finish. They had painted it dark brown and sprayed it with melamine in a poor quality. The wood or its grains was no were to be seen. They say it is teak wood, but the way they covered the wood with a thick coat of dark brown polish/paint totally hides the real material, there is noway to find out the material unless you scrap the thick layer of polish. Also their packing was horrible. When I called up mr Shafeequr, he told me he would call back, but he never did. Since the product was to be delivered to a different city in tamilnadu and we saw the product only after delivery at the site the client didnt want to go through the hassle of transporting and returning and remaking and all that.

Also they charge a fancy price for an inferior product

However, my kind suggestion for the prospective buyers is to inspect the product before delivery at their factory and check for the wood that is used before they do the polish and insist on the visibility of the wood grains. They may say that the grains wont be visible in dark colours, but that is an outright lie

I am a Software Engineer and I work at the Manyata Tech Park in Bangalore. Recently I went to this Ahaa store and believe you me that this is the only store in bangalore I have found after a whole lot of research and running around which actually could cater to my requirement to the T....

i have bought my dining table and bed both customized from an imported crate and barrel catalog of Thailand which I was having and you can only come and see it to believe the outcome....simple one word...Must Visit Store for a common middle class family like mine.....I have moved into my new house...thanks a lot to Ahaa...

I will not use too many words about this company as I have been dealing with them for the past 5 years now and being in the business of Architecture, I can only say that they are Architects Delight.

It's Very difficult to put your designs in practice....The designing aspect and concepts and visualization takes a lot of time to come on paper...but to crystallize your thoughts and to bring them in reality is a wonder.

I am not singing praises for nothing but this small store actually helped me realize my potential as an architect and I have grown along with them. I have referred several customers to them and in return they have made sure that the quality and trust has been maintained....

I am able to explore new designs at their cost and they are very flexible in doing a job again and again till its perfect and approved by me....This is a big plus in our industry as people are waiting to cut you at the first opportunity.

I wish them all the luck on the opening of their new store in Koramangala and I hope they achieve greater heights.

I went out shopping for my furniture in Bangalore city and and I thought I must share my recent survey and experience with everyone in the City.I work with infosys and as expected have just the weekends to look up my shopping.After getting  married few months ago I had this task of fitting my budget right and buying the best possible furniture in a fixed budget.I set out to buy a sofa and visited lifestyle, style spa, looking good, durian, stanley, millennium lifestyle...I was getting into depression each time I visited a new store....either the cost would be highly prohibitive as in the case of stanley, life style or style spa...or the quality tad too cheap like the looking good and poonam furniture...I found durian overpriced for the chinese stuff they are selling...

Finally I bumped into this expo held at whitefield ktpo convention centre called as The Best Rooms and I got what I wanted.This show had a large booth called as Ahaa ! the solid wood furniture store which captured my imagination. The furniture was extremely unique in styling.made up of teak wood.low furniture like an oriental design which my wife had in mind and to top it all customisable....

We placed an order for a low sofa at just 40 k and it was delivered to me within 15 days of booking the order.The staff was immaculate and I received a call once my stuff was ready and they invited me to their factory for inspection.I had some corrections made on the polish colour and the cushions after it was made and the owner obliged gracefully. After complete satisfaction I paid the amount before dispatch which was their condition and I thought was extremely fair.

I had one doubt in my mind...what if the sofa is damaged in transit ? and before I could express my doubt I got a warranty letter which mentioned that any damage in transit would be the manufacturers headache ! Wow ! I have never seen such a store in India !

And yes...i got a call for my wedding anniversary from the store lately...way to go Ahaa ! India....
