The ingenuineness of this review appears doubtful. Justify your opinion.
I feel this review is:
I was using a Clay sim card in Australia and I was facing issues with my data over and over again. Despiute several emails, there was still no respite from their end. So finally when I called clay’s service support team for some help, they were also equally useless.
All they kept saying that I should switch off and on the data and it would work. Well finally when I called the sales guy Rohan he said that my data pack wasn’t even activated so it was impossible for it to work. Well clearly shows how pathetic their ooverall services that its not even coordinated

I had used Clay international sim card for Singapore and instead of staying connected, I was totally disconnected. So much so that to call their customer care I had to use a payphone and still nothing got fixed. Seems like they have a really poor quality network coverage.
Never using their services ever again. Infact its better to use ur Indian number than be stranded and still pay a price foor it.
I was using a clay international sim for France and they have the worst customer care services. I had requested them to activated data on my number.
Despite several calls, all with the same response that they are in the process, the data did not get activated at all. It got really difficult for me while I was there to respond to work emails and stuff.
Quite irresponsible I must say.

Please check your bills twice before clearing them with clay telecom, because most of the times their bills are fake and tampered with. I had such an experience not very late, when I was using a clay sim for Bangkok. Everything was decent until I got my bill.
I did not use data at all, how can I use data in a basic handset, but was charged around 100 THB for the same. My call timing were also doubled in terms of seconds to minutes. So overall they charged me over 4k for services I never used and increased call timing.
Such services are definitely not acceptable and its left a bad taste for any future references
Clay Sims are quite over priced in comparison to other such sim cards available in the market. For the same duration that I was in Dubai my bill was 6k and my friend who was using some other local sim card, paid some 4k for the exact services.
Also, clay sims don’t have such great services to charge so heavily for. Most of the times I was short of signals only. Quite poor actually.
I had traveled to US last month and used a local clay sim card for calling purposes. Since they have a corporate tie up, I had no other option but to use their poor services. Despite placing a request for the sim card 10 days in advance, I got it at the last minute.
So obviously everything was checked in a hurried manner and the guy scribbled the number on the sheet and left. The tariff given to me was not the corporate tariff that they give my company but rather a regular super expensive$50 monthly rental plan, that I didn’t ask for. Their connectivity through California was poor, so poor that I had to use the pay phones.
This is how they treat their corporate clients. And ultimately I got a bill for 29k which if I were to calculate would not have been more than 10k. Such poor services, overcharged and absolutely clueless about client history. Disappointed totally.
I was traveling to Singapore for some work and bought a clay post paid sim card to use while I was going to be there for about a week. The entire process right from getting the sim and getting to know what plan I should take was a tedious job. I got the sim 1 day before I flew with no proper user instructions. I was told that Raj would email the details.
An email that never came. Nevertheless it was just a sim card no rocket science, so I inserted it like our usual Vodafone sims once I landed in Singapore. That number barely worked for 6 hours after which it just didn’t work at all. No matter what I tried, it just didn’t work. Finally when I could do no I called up Raj( the sales guy) and asked him to sort this issue. He said that someone would call me and these guys will try to get a sim delivered to me locally. I kept waiting for 2 days for that call but nothing.
There was no response and infcat the sales guy also stopped taking my calls. This is what I experienced with ClaY International sim cards and I think after this kind of a treatment, I would never ever use their services even for free.
I used their service for Dubai for hardly 4 days and I realized when I saw the bill of worth 7000 Rs that whatever they say of being affordable and conevenient is nowhere close to this. 7k for 4 days is hell lot of money to charge for local calling only. I think it would have been wiser and cheaper to use my own indian number there for 4 days and I would have paid a lot lesser than what I got billed for.
Really expensive unnecessarily.
Clay Telecom mite proclaim themselves to be the best international sim card option, but trust me I have used their services mostly for UK and France not once but thrice and their services are very very substandard. Things are always delivered last minute with no proper details, and they hardly ever informed me about flag fall call charges in France.
And they don’t care whether you received the bill or not, they will directly charge ur credit card with whatever amount they deem fit. Very substandard service
I bought their Thailand prepaid sim for some 449 with some free talktime worth 20 bhat. After having paid so much for that sim card it wasn’t really helpful in anyways. Infact I even got it recharged for some 500baht before flying out. The calls are so bloody expensive that its quite unbelievable.
Their calling process to india is so complicated with different suffixes like 00600 and 006 and all these are charged at different rates. So basically yo land up spending more money. And don’t even think of using their GPRS. Its slow and heavily charged @ 1baht per MB. I literally had nothing left in my pmorpheushumanne after trying to figure out a way to soi 11 from central Bangkok. Not worth the money they ask for.
I was anyways using Clay Sim Cards without being very happy with the choice of my service cos their network was giving me hell of a problem anywhere that I went in London. Ultimately when I had nothing else to try with my phone.
I called up their customer care number when somebody by the name of Somesh picked up and asked me what “MY PROBLEM” was and when I was narrating the issue he was quick enough to respond that its out of his hands and he cant do much so I should wait for things to get fine by their own. This is some customer service, for if Clay Sims think that this way ppl will still go for this shitty services, it’s a big misunderstanding. Really down market stuff

We had used Clay Sim Card for majorly for local usage in Singapore from the 5th Jan till the 15th of Jan. Since we were there for a wedding so there was hardly any calling back to India. Firstly we had to literally call the customer care twice to get our data issues fixed as it was showing 3g but wasn’t working at all. It seemed like a fake 3g service.
Hoping that those would be our last dealing issues with Clay Sims, little did we know that their bills are so inflated that we had to go through each and every call log, highlighting numbers that didn’t belong to anyone in the family. This was such an embarrassing thing to deal with but we had no other option as we had a 20k bill staring in our faces.
After all the corrections the outstanding turned out to be close to 9k. Really surprised to know how these telecom providers work. I don’t think so we will ever be using their services again for anything
I had requested information on Clay’s website if they offered services for Seychelles, almost a week before my travel. And there was no response from until the last day when they said they can deliver the sim card at the airport.
Turns out that Clay Sim cards are nothing less than liars as nobody contacted me after that and the number that I had was also out of reach after that. What a shame that we have to use such untrusting services.
Using a clay sim card for any travel destination will always be a bad idea as they offer very expensive deals and their network coverage across is quite bad. I had a bad experience using their sim card for Europe.
Super expensive and for most of the place they charged me international roaming rates.
I was traveling to Italy for work and given a clay sim card by my assistant so that I could keep in touch with work and family. Well that would have been the case, had the sim worked even once after I landed. Despite several efforts and calls to their customer care ppl, where nobody seemed to really help me with anything, but kept on saying that the charges will be applicable irrespective.
I finally used the old fashioned international roaming on my Indian number to stay connected. Clay Sims should be the option for anyone. A complete let down.
I used clay sim card in London and I have had a really bad time with their services. There were practically no signals in my phone most of the times and whenever I would call their customer support on the number shared, it would never connect. It was a very bad and frustrating experience overall.
Don’t think will be using their services again.
I was traveling to Germany for a business conference and I thought of using a clay sim card other than my regular international roaming as its always an expensive deal. I was assured that the plan that I was on, was a rental free plan and call rates were on corporate rates.
Oh by the time I came back to India, I had a bill worth 35k staring right in my face with rentals charged, there were no corporate rates as mentioned. My international roaming bill also doesn’t reach this limit. Very poor services at an extravagant price.
My dad got me a student plan for US from Clay Telecom, presuming that it was really affordable and convenient to pay the bill in the Indian currency and I will get to talk more for lesser money!
Its all CR@P! The first bill was nominal and then after that the bills only shocked my dad. 25k per month for three months is insane!
Especially when you’re charged for random minutes. I am so glad that I have the call records in my phone that prove otherwise!
My dad had to prove their fraud of overcharging minutes with my records and took us almost a month to get a refund! Never use Clay Sim cards for anything ever!
I was traveling to US and under the impression that Clay Sim Cards are affordable, I bought their$30 plan.
Trust me, with the kind of usage and calls that I made, my bill shouldn't have been more than 8K. But instead, I got a bill worth 25K.
Calls were duplicated at regular intervals, even when it was midnight in US. Not only have they duplicated the calls, but have charged at their own will.
Totally, disappointing services from Clay Sim Cards.
