I would like to share my Malaysia experience with all you people. I dint want to carry any SIM from India as I wasn't aware about Clay Telecom. One of my friends referred me and got the SIM card right at the airport. The speedy delivery was really impressive. Right after the delivery, I got a welcome call from Clay telecom. The guy was helpful and educated. He walked me through the dialling instructions and APN settings for my phone. The moment I reached Malaysia, I got a service call from Clay Telecom. They helped me selecting the right network and walked me through the APN setting. The Pricing is really fair and the overall service delivery is unparralled as compared to Matrix and all the new entrants. I loved the data services. It was seamless and economical.

I took this USA postpaid card for myself and it worked flawlessly in Texas and when I came back I got the bill for the amount which was committed to me by the sales guy. I recommend all to use Clay rather then using Matrix. Network coverage is excellent and customer service guys are really helping, I called them up to ask about the dialing instructions and they helped me in a wonderful way.

Thank you Clay for fulfilling my expectations.I am a frequest flyer and was trying Clay for first time over Matrix and fortunately things went well.

After sales support is really good.which is quite unique in this fuzzy Indian Service Industry.

Received a courtesy call as well, when we arrived.Which showed good hospitality.

Lets see how far things go well for me.

As a part of an official trip to US, my admin guy got me an international sim card from Clay mentioning that everything has been taken care of and I would have no issues using the same. And what can say after I started using this intriguing peice of technology. After 2 days all incoming and outgoing is barred! Somehow the customer care responded being a Sunday giving me a lame reason as that I have crossed my credit limit of 5k rs and until I deposit more money they cant restart the services! How is it even possible that a post paid corporate connection be serviced like this! Total disappointment!

I happened to use Clay Sim card for UK and let me tell you it was the worst that I have ever used in long long time. My sim card wasn’t working ever since I landed and despite several calls to the customer centre, they just said rebooting the phone is the only option that will work which clearly wasn’t working for me! A bunch of idiots sitting behind teh phone and making it worse! Apparently the sim never worked but these guys were pretty quick to send me the bill worth 1000rs for something I never used!

I am here to warn everyone who reads this, never to use any services that are offered by Clay sim cards. I was tricked into buying a clay sim card for UAE at the airport. I was told that it is a rental free sim card and very affordable call back rates to India. And when I got my bill, I was charged 75 dirhams as rental along with a bill worth 7k for a period of 5 days? Even after several emails and follows up and I am still struggling to get it all in place!

The worst Canadian Sim card I ever used is from Clay sim cards. I was informed that their caling rates are relatively cheaper but hell no, they are crazy expensive and don’t even talk about connectivity.  Ultimately I have a bill worth 10k staring at my face! Never using such fraud and expensive services again

Clay telecom provides an excellent service and a really good product. I have used a lot of times while traveling out of India. My family too uses this product. The network coverage is above average and charges and billing amount is also affordable.

I prefer using clay telecom's products compared to others because of many advantages that they provide.

An affordable medium for Frequent travelers. I was awaiting for such service from a long time as I was bit disappointed with few other mobile network carriers which I used during my previous trip to States.

Hope this Service provider covers more Countries in near future. Please arrange for an annual deal plan so that you can make a better deal for us.

Clay Telecom's network is amazing. The customer service is also quite good. Used Clay telecom in the US and I didn't have any issues with it.

The price seemed pretty reasonable as well. Worthy of a four star rating for sure. A highly recommended service network!

I purchased prepaid card from Clay for my trip to New York from May 2-17. I took their 15 days plan. It never worked a single time in New York. There was no network coverage. While in US, I went for Washington DC for a day and I could get network at some places.

Overall, it was total waste of money. I recommend people going to US to buy sim card locally as you would get a better and working product instead of buying from India. I would not recommend Clay sim card to anyone.

I was travelling to Germany for about 10 days and took a clay sim card for the same. The guy was super quick in delivering the sim card to me, but when it actually came to the service quotient, I'd rate them a negative!

The sim would only work after 15-20 mins call to the customer care to fix it(obviously that call was charged exorbitantly. This happened not once or twice, but thrice!

What a way to make money from people! Never recommending this cheat of a company to anyone!

I got conned into buying a student connection from Clay Telecom! The sales guy while pitching painted the most beautiful pictures of special plans for students at discounted prices, but when I saw my first bill, I literally fainted!

20k for a month with services blocked until we clear the bill! Not only the bill generated wrong with flawed accounting of seconds and minutes but the sim didn’t work for the first 3 days in UK for which the calls were charged!

It will be the worst for anyone to use any kind of services Clay provides!

Glad we bought these 2 pre paid Clay sim cards for Thailand. Not only was the network horrible, so was the quality of their services, With barely any signal on the beaches!

Local calls were more expensive than otherwise and recharging the damn number was a pain! Total crappy pre-paid service provider.

Clay Telecom has crossed all limits of cheating! Bought a sim card from them for US and on standing instructions of not charging the credit card, they went ahead and first charged it for close to 25k and then generated the bill.

On screening the bill, the billed dated was wrong (10 days before I actually took the sim) with wrong tariff charged on the same, when I actually opted for zero rentals, they charged me 30$. Please realise the customer is not an idiot! Totally disappointed with this crap*y company.

I ordered a clay SIM in Feb 2014 for my wife who was travelling to Germany to join me. The SIM was given to my wife and she made only 2 calls from the SIM and the bill generated for was promptly cleared. There was no bill generated after this as the SIM was never used again.

To my surprise I got a mail from them on 18th March that my credit card was charged INR 5000 due to technical reasons. I immediately wrote to them to reverse the same but I never got any response for that.

I returned the SIM on 15th April, as agreed with their team during SIM handover on return date, and got the acknowledgement and started sending mails asking for the refund status. Everytime I get a response that they are working on the same and will revert soon. This continued till 7th May when suddenly they told me that the SIM has not been returned hence they can't initiate refund. I send them the copy of the SIM return receipt and then they stopped responding.

I have been chasing Renuka(cs5.bangalore@clay.co.in), Kamran (kamran@clay.co.in) and also Dipti Roy (dipti.roy@clay.co.in) and nobody is responding. Does anyone want to suggest what is their escalation mechanism to take this up for a speedy resolution?

This clay telecom is highly recommended. I had used it on my last trip to Singapore. The coverage was good. Though I had some issue to setup data but once I get touch with their customer care team, they resolved it within 3 hours. I know there could be some issues in service industry but the way they resolved my issue it was amazing. I had just posted them on their fb page and got their response. This is called customer support. I am highly satisfied with their service.

If I had a product rating of (-50), I would give it to Clay or Very Very Very Very Poor.

I had taken a Prepaid SIM for UK with a Big Recharge and paid all money upfront, this SIM would not work even One Kilometer outside the Central London Area, which is itself about 4-5 Kilometers, even then the reception was poor, when most people tried calling me, they got a message No Network. I would recommend that Clay shut their services immediately and I am in the process of dragging them to the Consumer Court to refund my money. Eventually I had to take  UK SIM of a company called LIBARA (SIM was FREE and Minimum Recharge was 5 Pounds, which lasted me for 10 days, all incoming free and outgoing to LIBARA network FREE, Excellent Coverage. IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU BURN YOUR MONEY INSTEAD OF OPTING FOR CLAY. CLAY IS NOT CLAY IT IS DIRT, MUD.

It provides good network connectivity of both voice and data at all locations. Also they delivered my SIM card well on time.

Within 6 days of placing the request with them, I did get my SIM. No hidden charges and no extra billing.

The best part is that I can recharge my number online anywhere in the world.

I used Clay Telecom Services on my USA trip and it was excellent. I had to face many issues where I wasn't able to make outgoing calls but when I contacted customer service they helped me with the dialing instructions and I was able to make calls.

Overall their services was good. Also I would recommend the same to all my friends and relatives traveling abroad.
