Toshiba Satellite M500-D4210

I bought the alp 5 years back, it was love at first sight. I was in the final year of engineering and was managing with my desktop till then. but the seminars and project presentation meant that I needed a laptop. My initial budget was around 40k and was also planning on buying a new phone. My specs for the lap included ability to play at least counter strike, good screen and decent storage and there were many laptops fulfilling that including dell inspiron and many models of Toshiba itself and well within my budget.

But when the dealer showed me this lap there was no turning back, whether I was the awesome finish or the old graphics on black for the special edition, I sacrificed the phone for this. And it was worth it, it had hd display back lit keyboards with extra 8 feather touch keys. A this glass layer over the display for extra protection. The product just looked awesome and from every angle.

It was not only about the  looks it performed well too, even with continuous usage it had never any trouble. In my three years of usage it never crashed even once. That is outrageous for a laptop, And I was not a moderate user. I pushed the lap to extremes especially in gaming. It had all the hardware to support that, also the extra fan and the fan went to sides also helped.

I bought extended warranty for 6k and total warranty was for 3 years. and in those three years no problem occurred.

But 3 months after expiration of warranty during a current surge in my hostel the board short circuited. The service center guys where really helpful and did all they could to repair it. But the only option was to replace the board. Toshiba had stopped production of the laptop 6 months after I bought it and now it was almost 3 years. Because of bein premium product boards for hard to come by. The laptop still sits in my room, never to be turned on again.

If anybody is in possesion of m500 boards ill be happy to buy those.
