Yes, dear readers if you are going to buy this laptop than don't scare about the quality because it is a great laptop I bought this laptop last year from Jaipur and I don't found any problem or mistake in my laptop yet.so don't care about service and quality.because these both are fabulous.it is very easy to use even a child also work on it.

It is a very good laptop that also not hangs and because power backup is also brilliant.

Look wise fantastic laptop with AMDA Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology  processor, but the lacking quality is its memory that is 2 GB DDR2 667 MHzwith Memory layout of(2 x 1 GB), which is disgusting it must have at least 4 GB memory so that heavy software can smoothly travel easily on its processor, amd processor are graphic wise award winning processor other wise it is second to intel built processor

It's been 3 years since I have been using this HP's Tablet PC, and I want to change it now.

You might be thinking why I bought it in the first place? Well, Coz you can twist the screen around, and it has touch Screen. But Have I Ever used the touch screen? No. Does Twisting the screen gave me any benefits? No. Did it cost more? Yes.

If you are looking for a laptop, and don't have money to throw around(like me:) then don't go for fancy stuffs like this. Stick to the specification you want.

Pros -

~ This tablet is quite small - 12 inches, and very lightweight too. That was one of the main reasons I bought it as I am a student. So if you are someone whose gonna carry a laptop a lot, you might think of it.

~ Its touchpad is the best. Its metallic rather than those grey ones with rubber buttons who get bad after a point.

~ With this laptop you get one extra battery free, so you can interchange the batteries every 15 days to preserve battery life longer

Cons -

~ Its got AMD! Stay AWAY from AMD. AMD is not meant for indian weather. It heats up a LOT. My laptop is joked off as a heater. You'll need to buy a cooling pad for it as a must. For people who use this on there lap is a bad idea. AMD Cause a lot of heat, Specially in Summer and if your places temperature goes beyond 35-40 normally its a very bad idea to take this one.

~ Intel is expensive then AMD, but its worth the investment! If you getting Intel version for it go for that not for AMD. You'll regret saving a few bucks.

~ Because of its two layer technology for touch screen, you can't see anything if you are using this laptop anywhere outside in the sun. The light get reflected in a way that even with max brightness you can see hardly anything. Although we use laptops indoors mostly, but rarely whenever you do use, its very Annoying!

• Keyboard is different from standard, can be annoying at start but you get used to it.

Final Verdict -

Don't Buy it. There are many more laptops which you can go for. I Say it again. Go For Specification First. Stick to Simple and Easy. Don't go for this one.

Till now it has been repaired for 9 times. Problems were 1st time-within 15days of purchase - Display got damaged-it was replaced 2nd to 9th time -mother board got repaired- they replaced it everytime I took it to them( they took a week every time to do that). Earlier the problem occured on a monthly basis now the problem is occuring on a weekly basis. Hp product tx1016 Au is very very bad. why do they launch a product without any testing.& why doesnt they replace the laptop? Service is also very bad.they get so many laptops for repair in a day that they cant handle the volume of complaints.! As per my interaction with the Manager at HP service center(Gurgoan) the problem is with all laptops in this model series Overall Rating for HP - Plz buy something else & everything else will be better than this. No idea what to do!

This review is not just for this product, but for HP service as well - the service which has some great technical people who knows how to mislead people well(but they apparently dont know who are they dealing with, sometimes.).

Its been almost an year when I bought this product, this was my 3rd laptop ever and I was confident that HP is pretty good company. Three months ago, suddenly, my laptop's display disappeared - It didnt look like a biggie and I was sure that HP would take care of it(note that it was not even 1 yr since I purchased it). So, I sent laptop to HP service center through my vendor and explained them my problem. Because I belong to IT industry, I took a laptop on lease for almost Rs. 3000/- a month and also bought a backup HD to transfer stuff from old HD(because these dumb people at HP requires you to send whole thing with your laptop). At this point, I didnt imagined the problem would go so big that it would take them weeks to solve it. Anyways, Laptop went to service station, first time.

After nearly 3 weeks, I got my laptop back - I was happy and satisfied with the support, even though it took longer - but that's okay. I just worked 1 hr that day to discover that my laptop was being crashed after every 15-20 mins or if I'll run any heavy application. I sent it again. please note, this was second time.

Ok, Another 2-3 weeks went by, calling and struggling to just get the status of my laptop. HP sent me my laptop again. wow. But hey, did they fixed the problem I reported? Yes, maybe. I dont know, because the problem which I had for very first time'display not appearing' was once again there - this shocked me about their service center. The company which creates laptops day and night, and even when we sleep, can not fix a single laptop. Ok that's fine. **I sent it again. 3rd time. patience is virtue!

Today happened to be the day, dont know what to say lucky / unlucky. I got my laptop back from service center - I was sure this time, I was so sure that I started making a backup plan to shift data from backup lappy to my own. And once again I found out? Guess what? There's a new PROBLEM! Batteries wont charge up and battery light will keep blinking. wow. I give up.! I regret why I bought that piece of s laptop. and now what? I'm gonna sent it to them fourth time. or should I just dump it and destroy this piece of s for my pleasure. because that's the best thing you can have with this.

So finally, I would never ever buy or recommend any HP product to anyone.

I dont understand. if these HP people can't fix it - why dont they give me a new one. But anyway, I wouldn't accept their products anyway - because that too will end up wasting my time the same way like its been doing from last few months.

Please suggest people, put yourself in my shoes and suggest me honestly, do I reserve a right to sue them? Should I go ahead and file a lawsuit against them.?
