HP Pavilion DV5 1015TX

I bought my HP Dv5 1015tx in 2008 and believe me till date every component is still working. Obviously I don't use the TV tuner card and DVD writer anymore but the 4 USBs are working just fine. I never thought I would write a review but here I am, writing this review of a discontinued product on 8th Aug 2020. Its been 12 years since I bought my Dv5 and it came with Windows Vista Home Premium and I upgraded to Windows 7, 8 and now using 3 OS namely Windows 10 Home, Ubuntu and Windows Vista Home. I basically upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 10 yesterday and was surprised to see all device drivers working just fine. Amazing product, was always ahead of its time. This product deserves 5 stars.

The HP Pavilion dv5-1032 is a reasonable Centrino 2 multimedia laptop.

Because of the powerful components, the fans run always, but the noise level stays alright.

Due to the fast graphics card and the Centrino 2 platform the performance is sufficient for games.

This notebook provides a special feature at the front side: two headphones ports.

Design caused the basses of the speakers are weak. Nevertheless, we liked the speakers.

The moulding above the keyboard provides some hot keys to multimedia functions and looks good.

The keyboard is very good. The touch pad only sufficient, because it has a sticky surface.

At the top of the wide-screen display there is a web-cam.

Although the picture of the reflecting display looks good, it is not ideal in terms of brightness, illumination, and viewing angles.

. and white indicator LEDs.

Similar to current Apple products, HP uses a foldaway hinge.

Unfortunately this high-gloss surfaces are very sensitive to fingerprints.

. because of the imprint patterns on lid .

The design of the notebook looks good, .

The same is true for the surface temperatures. So, this notebook is recommendable for price-concious gamers.

I have many of the experience to use for the lap top of the many company in those between hp company is the best because it was give simple and durability and it's battery backupp Is much atrongt and give suffient ram and Rome. One of the most important thing it's service provided is most easily. And it's famous company because repairing is very easy for any problem in the system. I user of the hp laptop it's my experience .Thanks

This laptop came before a long time and has many features.It runs on a basic Intel Core 2 duo processor with good speed and 8GB RAM with 250 GB hard disc.

This has a hard disc protection technology: even if you dropped this laptop the data inside the hard disc will be safe.  This feature is not available in the most of the laptops.    It has the basic lock slot  for enhanced security.  it has fingerprint technology  to protect your data and ensure that none other person than you, use  this laptop.

The laptop is bundled with Windows Vista operating system which you can erase and change to any operating system you wish.  It has a Nvidia GeForce 9200 M graphics card with 251 MB dedicated video memory.  You cannot play high resolution games with this graphics card.  You can play normal games like GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City.

This laptop also has software that is bundled with the motherboard to lock the hard disc when laptop is dropped on a ground.

I guess it has a accelerometer to check whether the laptop is straight or fallen down.You can insert any memory card into this laptop. it has a 5 in 1 multi format memory card reader embedded in the laptop.  You can insert multimedia cards, memory stick, memory stick Pro media.

It has a 1.3 megapixel camera which is good for Skype and video recording. our face in Skype looks fine  and the other person can clearly see us.

You will get a software CD when purchasing this laptop whichhave YouCam software which is very useful for decorating your screen while talking in Skype or recording a video.

use only youcam  to record the video do not use other softwares like webcam recorder or the default Windows Camera Recorder.  Because only the youcam software makes high quality recording and you can save in any format you like using the latest YouCam software.

Model is very sleek, features are good, easy to user, you can use it from a to z in computers technology. A child can also use this laptop its just like a childs play. Whole family can enjoy with this laptop. Any type of movie or software can be installed. It is easy to carry any where in the world.

A child can carry this notebeek. Good to use for there home work on the notebook can take print for their use can be referred in later stage. Any type software can be loaded for use which are used in school or in office for work of the individual. This can become earning items by using internet.

You become close to far distance friends or relatives through chatting on web camera or without web camera. It easy to reach each other by this notebook . You can visit long distance by sitting at home.
