APC Back-UPS BI

I have been using APC since last 6 years. Still no complaint, no any issues and no tension. In my opinion, choose APC products. Good battery backups, pakka durability and easy to handle too. APC products are the best. They are providing onsite service too. One of the major benefit is that they sells in Best price. Compare to other products, I am satisfied with APC. Some of their products are having 2 years of warranty and even we can extend it. Super quality and standard. Just do not wait. Go for APC.

I had this APC inverter two years ago and it was only good in the first six months. After that it was only trouble for me. The inverter was huge and quite durable. Once I understood the controls it was easy to use the inverter. The battary back up was not as good as promised and drained up completely in three hours. But what surprised me that although it had an warranty period of two years it broke down way before that and worse was there mechanic was unable to repair it and he told me to get a replacement since it was within tje warranty period.

I am owning a BE650Y-IN and previously had a BE650Y-IN. I will write about service experience of both. The life of the product as I understand from the service support given is 2 years which is the warranty period. After the warranty period is over, there is no service support for repairing the UPS unit and it has to be thrown.

I owned a BE650Y-IN APC UPS bought in December 2007 to supply backup power to my PC at home. It worked properly for 2.5 years, then I had to replace the battery. It was out of warranty and with much effort I got the battery replaced by the APC service guys in Bangalore. 1 year after replacing the battery the charger in the unit went for a toss and this time I was not able to service it. The unit was out of warranty and the service person told that they can give a refurbished unit at 3/4 the cost of the new unit. I bought a new BE650Y-IN. Once a unit goes out of warranty that is two years after the date of purchase, you can get the battery replaced by paying its price but cannot get the unit repaired by the company.

If any problem arises in the UPS unit after warranty is over, you have to throw the unit. It is now 8 months since I bought the new one and I faced problem with it. I faced problem of insufficient time for the computer to do automatic shut down during battery low. The service guys have taken the unit and replaced it with a refurbished unit. The refurbished unit is giving backup time of 10 minutes whereas the unit in proper working condition gives 20 minutes of backup time. The battery given in the refurbished unit is a used one and the backup time given by the unit will be half or less than half of the new unit. After finding the problem in the refurbished unit with very less backup time, I asked the service guy to use the battery in old unit and got better backup time.

The push button to switch on the unit starts giving problems after 8 months of usage. You cannot get it repaired but have to go in for a refurbished unit during warranty period. APC is making Indian customers face issues during service in warranty period and offers no service after the warranty period is over. The refurbished unit is repaired one and the life of the Battery in the refurbished unit is unknown. Why dont they replace with a new unit during warranty?. Are they not confident of their unit quality. They can make sure that no problem arises during the warranty period as part of the manufacturing process. Why cant they repair the unit, atleast we will be happy that we have the same unit we bought and enjoy the benefits.

I like the product as I am using the product from last 1 year there is no problem with product, actually I my father have bought crompton greaves ups it only worked for 1 week and there where lot of frequency problems and no body used to turn up to do the servicing an there regional service manager is also irresponsible.they do not have any ethics in doing customer service after facing a lot of problems with crompton greaves inverters, at last I bought APC after visiting almost 15 to 20 shops in Hyderabad. It is little costly when compared with other brands but I still recommend apc to everyone.

and where I was not getting a service person for servicing the crompton inverter which was hardly one week old.but apc people are sending there persons periodically to check the battery and inverter condition for free of cost. I thank apc for there good service and kindly keep it up and don't behave like other companies did.

The UPS of APC doesnot work common household invertors. There is frequent tuning problem. Forget it if you are thinking of running the ups on invertor.

The company has a policy of replacing more than 1 month old UPS under the warranty with a so called republished UPS. That means a UPS discarded by one person is installed in the house of a second person without telling him the truth. That means if u have a minor problem or doubt regarding regarding your UPS and u book a complaint, the service person will readily change ur piece with another even worse pace, without telling u the truth about the replaced set.

U r happy thinking that the company is so good, it replaced the set without much pursuance. But u realize the truth later when problem appears in this 'new' ups. when u try to book a complaint with the serial no. of this new ups, u will be shocked to hear that it registered in the name of some other customer and u have to recollect the serial no. of now old ups.

I think this policy of company is a cheating with customers and I recommend that no one should buy an APC ups.
