Tata Indicom Photon+

I have used Tata photon plus for office purposes and because I got reimbursements so I took post paid plan of 500 because 500 was the limit of reimbursement from office on monthly basis. But to my dismay , I started getting bills of rs. 2000 every month. I had a travelling job so it was difficult for me to locate tata stores as they have limited stores and when I called customer care , they hardly pick up so I was clueless but one day I went to store waited in huge queues as many people were facing issues. So , these are the challenges I faced as they have bad customer service which is not efficient , very limited stores so if you face any issues you dont know where to go if you are travelling to towns , high tarriff in billing which is out of my understanding . So we have good companies like hathway , jio who provide good service for internet

I Am Using Tata Indicom Photon+ for 6 Months, it has very poor connection and very bad service, It will never shows full connection, It shows Speed off 600 Kbps but gives maximum of 60 Kbps, I called to customer care for my issues, they always said that we are working on it you are out of area, sometimes it doesn't even connect, it easily stopped working in rainy season.

It is the worst internet service I have never seen, so I would not recommend you to use this network.

Reviewing Tata Photon+ today.

I bought it 4-5 years ago for internet surfing and downloading. It was a delight using dongle for internet. In beggining it worked fine as per my requirements but later as soon as new internet providers emerged with competetive plans tata photon services had a huge downfall. Earlier I used to get 15gb data for 800/- now I get 10 GB data for 800 rs. But other companies are giving more than that at the same cost. Also the connection is poor. A lot of times the dongle shows no signal.

The customer support is not very supportive. Plus the speed I use to get using internet from other internet provider is far more better Tata photon+ Thus according to me this is an old technology and its time is up now.

I am using Tata Indicom Photon+ since last 6 years. The service it was providing at the start was very good . But from last couple of years, I am not getting the internet speed as promised. Photon+ states that internet speed is 2 Mbps . But I am getting very less speed than actual and the download speed is terribly low as it takes 18-24 hours to download 300 Mb data. Watching videos is equally painful as it takes some time for video to load. During working hour, the connecting to internet using Photon+ is very difficult . Some time internet gets disconnected for no reason . Due to this, I lost so much of time. Whenever any problem appears I contact the customer service, but instead of solving my problem they constantly asks me to check my internet setting and when I tell them it is all fine they simply say the problem will solve in some time and I have to wait, sometimes for 2-3 days, for internet connection to restore.

I am using tata indicom photon plus from last three year but from last one and a half year or so I am fed up of tata indicom photon plus services. Its pathetic annoying and very bad customer service.

After every ten to twelve days speed drops very bad and contacting customer care service you can only expect one answer that is That you are in a highly utilised area so speed problem will continue till the problem solves. Even after one year of complaints still the problem persists.

The customer care service is not diligent in completing their duties with promptness and sincerity and do not take immediate actions against any complaint or inquiry done by the customers.

The speed is very slow, It is having the most pathetic and irritating customer care department, which keeps on disturbing you day and night even if you paid you bills. They are so ill mannered that they don't know how to speak with customer. I am using this service for the last 6 months. Speed is very uneven. Sometimes Its nice bot some times its Zero or very slow. Tata ISP should rectify this problem.

If we talk about its service, Its very poor. When I call customer care, they said our Technical member will talk to you, but no one called till now.

Overall Internet speed is not reliable for normal home user.

So don't go for it.Very Poor Experience.

I like this Tata Indicon Photon+ Net setter because it is available between 1500rs to 3000 Rs in market so it is low in cost and it is available in 3g and 4g connectivity I have used many times I like its downloading and uploading speed its ranges is 2mbps to 10mbps according to data plan which we will subscribe so overall speed is good. And minimum data plan is below 1000 Rs there we get some 3g or 4g data after we get unlimited 2g means we can browse unlimited after that limit so this is best thing which is good and we dont need any long cable and modem. We can buy this and it does not take long space it is portable anywhere with us

Tata photon plus is not worth. I had purchased tata photon plus last year and I used it for couple of months and due to its bad signa problem I discontinued it. Lat month I again purchased the same card again to see if network connectivity has been improved or not but the same problem of connectivity and in 5 mb plan it ends very soon and thereafter the speed is very slow that it takes a lot of time to open one page and the customer care people say that they cannot fix this problem.so again I discontinued the service. So I recommend people not to but this card as this has some connectivity issues.

I bought this device in 2014. It is worst service provider as compared to other service providers. It dongle also disconnects every time. Every time I contacted to its customer care but but satisfactory answer was given by its executives. Also they have no knowledge about to resolve the problem. I mistakenly bought this device after seeing the ads on internet and after buying it I repent for this.

Speed of ISP connection: Its speed is very slow and not as much as they told in their ads.

Connection Reliability: It disconnects every time when I connects.

Service & Support: Its Service and support is very poor.

I will not recommend this to anyone to buy this.

Personally I experienced Tata photon+ data card and want to make aware everyone that please do not use Tata data card and products, they will assure you to not provide quality, speed and service.

Connection reliability is 0, better to use 2G service in your mobile, that is much faster than tata photon data cards.

Service & support- they will send engineer to your location to check speed but no solution, you will just keeping raising request and they will have same answer but no concrete solution. they will never improve their service.

We didn't had a wireless association so we thought its better to get a dongle as wifi is constrained to a place and you can't get the speed all over the place while if there should arise an occurrence of dongle you can take it all over and utilize it and its a decent option . Subsequent to exploring we settled for TATA photon+ the same number of my companions had it so we chose to get it. We paid 1600 rupees and was guaranteed 10gb for two months with a speed of least 2-3mbps. I suggest you to not to buy Tata Indicom Photon Plus . This is my personal experience I bought Tata Indicom Photon Plus and used it 5 months . Tata Indicom gives very poor network connection so it is useless for us . I suggest you to go for MTS and other Internet service provider who gives good Internet speed and good customer service so it will be useful for you please don't buy Tata Indicom Photon Plus if you want to use Internet at home I suggest you ticona broadband service provider it is very good and I am using it .

I had post paid connection of TATA Photon few month back but had lost the instrument dongal , had called the customer care and asked them to disconnect the services but they did not do so also I was not give the email ID to give a written complain they said they will send a representative to collect my hand written cancellation request which did not happen, and went on generating bills, also in month of November I made the payment of Rs.1000/- and the customer care executive told me that we can settle the account by making this payment. I still receive the call saying I have dues against my bill when I call the customer care and requested for tracking my recorded complain which I had done for cancelation of the connection they refused to take my complaint.

I had faced a very bad issue with this and my issue was not resolves. This is of a year ago when one of my friend and I took the Photon+ Stick because they were selling it by saying "Surf with jet speed" so we thought we would be able to get the desired speed we wanted but we got only 60% of that. The device gets heated after 25-30 minutes of use. W e faced strange problem our device starts restarting itself after 45-50- minutes of use. We complaint about that and visited the the customer center but we were said that the replacement is not possible and we have to purchase a new stick. We just discarded it after a month and purchase reliance Usb net setter with great plans, speed and coverage. We got it and used heavily no problem was there.

The support on call center is very bad.

I purchased the Tata photon thinking that I will carry it with my laptop and will access the internet whereever I want.

I purcahsed the plan costing rupees 800 per month with 2 GB of data for one month at the speed of 2 MB and then unlimited data at 120kb per second. I also paid rupees 500 for the device so my total bill for first month was 1300 rupees.

The network is really bad it didn't work in the home sometime it work but with very low speed. Outside it work but the range problem is always there.

I tried replacing the device and even plan but the problem remains the same so I dropped the idea of using it and bought airtel 3G device on its place.
