I brought this storage device just a few days back and really I was really satisfied with its look, size and performance, it very easy and comfort for use. Coming to the specifications of the product it comes with an USB V 3.0 which also supports the previous version of USB V2.0 as most of the old PC and laptop are still compatible with only V 2.0 devices.

The USB v3.0 supports greater speeds of files transfer like a 1 Gb file transfers in just a couple of minutes.

The device also comes with an unlimited Cloud storage where whenever you are having a laptop or pc with you, you can just connect it and backup all the files to the cloud server.

The Hard disk being powerless is really useful for all the travelers as they need not carry over the power cable too.I bought the WD ELEMENTS for storage and back up of files along with my Movie collection backup. for Movies and storage is good.

The only problem is when I take backup of files, If I create new folder and back up from system it works fine but when I want to rewrite in the same folder it is stuck with Read Only folders.

Even If I change the property from Read only to writable it goes back automatically to readable in less than 2 mins and doesn't let me complete the file copy means. I create unnecessary duplicate files. it works okay on the main system where I have the software installed. but since I use it on different systems in office it is very difficult to rewrite the folder. However if I work on the file itself it works.

Hello,

I bought it from flip cart with price 4500/-. which is working good with TOSHIBA computer and HP models.

Negative:

1-Not working in one model DELL VOSTRO 3145 model.Not able to find reason.

But in same dell Vostro,I am able to use pen drives without any issue.So it seems not supporting all models.

2-The speed of data copying is not that good.

So kindly buy by seeing the feedback from multiple sites.

I have purchased this product because I need to store my bulk data. As my laptop hard disk was almost getting full then I took the decision of buying this hard disk. I choose this brand over others because my friends are using WD hard disk and they are not getting any problem till date. And moreover we have a WD service center in our city. The main thing I like about this hard disk is that it is USB 3.0 compatible with USB 2.0 as well as. The 3.0 USB works great it gives 60 to 70 Mbps per second. It is also a handy and portable hard disk. I also like about its pricing matter its cost is low as compared to other HDD. But only one thing I did not like about the hard disk is that it decreases its speed in USB 2.0 which is a major drawback but, other than this the product is a good one.

My passport boasts outstanding performance that of more expensive portable hard drive. Good wd connector usb 3.0 usb 2.0 available cap.  500 gb.  1 Tb warranty 3 year If you need maximum capacity on the run this is the one to get.

This unassuming little hard drive is a really compelling option. Good product got it.

I bought this WD external hard disk beofre 5 years and till date I have not get any problems or data lost issues with it. Some online sites like flipkart, amazon, snapdeals, provides very good discount on these external hdd. Also its service is good as I needed warranty based service which ended in replacement of my 2nd 2TB hard disk.

Thank god that it was not having that much data. So warranty period and service even is better compared to new in business HDDs in market which shows funky external cases but won't last long. Should go for it. Already used and using 1 TB n 2TB drives. And also it provides locking software along with it

I bought wd element passport 1tb hard disk on 2014 and now also is working fine no problems occurred till date its nice small to carry and it contains usb 2.0 and 3.0 option transfer speed is good.

I bought it from flipkart at 4500 rs. At last I will only tell go for it

I bought WD Elements of 1TB storage from Amazon. The performance of the hard disk is very nice. The transfer speed of the Hard Disk is very good.

It supports USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. The bulit quality is good and it is durable. If you want to buy a good external hard disk, you should go for it without any doubt.

I bought wd elements 2tb in april 2015. Experience of using it has been very good. You can create multiple partitions. Its possible to make bootable partitions with linux/windows installation on it. It also works with macbook pro flawlessly. '

Usb3.0 gives very fast transfer speed to transfer large bulk of data. I use it to take backups, and its very speedy and reliable. Its thickness is slightly more than the 1TB disks, but thats obvious due to the 2TB capacity. Its lightweight to be carried around with ease. Recommended!
