It is one of the best product presented by sony. I think it is better than hp, samsung and all. I am using this drive from 1 year still it working smoothly. It has a additional feature to set up a pincode or password as security to block every person to access on your hard drive.if you are planning for buying a 1TB hard drive then go and grab it. It has been 2 years since I am using sony 1 TB external hard drive and never got any point to blame it till date. I purchased it from a local shop and it is performing fine. It is not a slim one as we want but not a problem with it. The main thing is that you can't let the hard drive idle. Otherwise it will not be as fine as before. For last 10-15 days I didn't use it and after that when I used it was so slow perfoming that I got irritated. Just one thing about the drive is that you have to take care of its maintenance. Then only it will give you better value for money. And about the service & support I have never inquired of it. I think it would be a good one

Well its an good harddisk for external purpose to store your private data . And in this we get some inbuilt softwares for our convineance like password protection, data transfer accelerator, backup, etc . Through these we can enhance the quality of it while working. In looking wise its so good like round corners , looking like a small bottle ( funny like an alcohol small bottle??) . Value for money is I think fair bcz in this range no other company gives u a product like this. Also it has a usb 3.0 support which gives us fast transfering of data. So I think it is better than any company product in this suitable range.

Sony External Hard Drive E1/BC2 is really good. I have a 16Gb memory lap top and I do a lot of computer work so I have lot of data stored in my laptop. The memory of my lap top was getting full so I thought it is high time that I need to buy a external drive to store my date from my laptop. I actually went to Croma store which has all types of external Hard drive. I saw couple of them out of which I liked Sony the most because it was sleek light weight and easy to carry. I cab store 1TB which is what I wanted. The price of it also is affordable it is 6700 which is actually worth it. Sony is a well know brand and their service is good. The place where I had bought it the staff was really helpful. Don’t think twice you can close our eyes and go for Sony External Hard Drive E1/BC2.

Hii I m vikas. I buyed sony 1 tb 1 month ago and its working well it has a great file transfer speed. PopSony itself represent as a brand. Sony products are more reliable and cheaper. These sony external hard disk is very nice its has a high speed transfer. Its a portable device. We can easily store our personal data. It looks cool and it has a 3 year guarantee.

I am heared and watching advertisement in tv or benner in raod side , sony companies is reputed company so Some period before I am going in my areas nearest electronicks showroom and purchases a brand new SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB and pay a havy Amount for only this product just for bussiness purpose so I tell my refrence and moovement during using this SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB , I am irreted and confuse because using this SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB iam earned many problems related this product for exampale

Problem number( 1) : It is a hard process for any function operating related this SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB

Problem number ( 2) : its a havy weighted and required many space for this SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB

Problem number ( 3) : Some time SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB is hang and stop during 1 or 2hour aafter so I am irreted just because of using this SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB

Problem number( 4) : heating problem aafter some hours continues using this product SONY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE E1/BC2 -POUCH 1TB

But I thing SONY companied is belive in costomer choice , reference , requirement ect.

My name is Krishna Kant and here I am going to post a review on Sony external hard drive.

Let me tell you first that I am a student who loves to watch movies and also I like to have a good collection of movies with me. Earlier I used to store the movies in pendrives and in the internal storage of my devices but it is somehow that if you like a collection of things then the storage expands but not srinks. And so I needed a large storage for the movies so that there would be no problem for me to be in touch with the latest movies together with the collection of older ones. Due to this only reason I bought an external hard drive from Sony brand. But I got disappointed with its use and now I am feeling like being cheated on the branded name of Sony!

Well, its true that in the convenient price Sony makes you able to choose an external hard drive with 1TB of storage but I am sure that you will not be happy with its working and functions.

Actually, its reading capacity is so slow that once you start to scan for some available file in the drive and it takes a long while for the search to get completed. Secondly, writing creteria is also older one as you cannot do any other work while the writing function is being performed on this hard drive.

Further I would like to mention that it is too heavy to carry it with you as compared to the hard drives of other brands. I have compared the external hard drives of other brands on the basis of its weight from that of Sony and found that the hard drive of Sony is really very heavy.

You will also face problem while connecting it as the usb connector is so small.

Guys, it is not so good as per the price you pay for it. You may choose the other good and branded external hard drives available in market.

It was my experience after using this external hard drive.

I already bought this hard disc it is verry good for purchase 1 tb the cost difrance is the diferrent matter but the transfer speed and the 3 yrs warranty is also v goog and also the design and cord is also verry nice

It is the good deel when I purchase this that time I have face so much prb to where I purchase online or frm shop but afte I purchase frm ebay after no problem about service also

Sony company is a very nice company.its made a nice product and very like quality.

Sony external hard drive is nice product for in sony.

Its made a hard drive for a pc.outher company is made very poor quality.

My pc is hard drive full then I buy a sony external hard drive.this hard drive is suport in my computer and much space in my computer.

This sony product sony hard drive is value for mony and in my range.

Finally I got a better one after two replacement, the two earlier ones was not working properly, .

Not enabling proper file transfer. it would get disconnected automatically. product looks excellent and great build qualit, read and write speed is also good. temperature is also pretty cool.

It is stylish and  looks very cool. Premium feel. Sony is very good company. You can trust upon its products. Data transfer speed is good about 40MBps.

Read speed is 70MBps. Cable is good. It can last for a long time. I checked cables of other hdds. But they feels cheap

Sony is one of the leading electronic company.Sony has several products one of them is this master piece external hard drive.frens honestly I want to say that this is best hard drive I have ever seen.see here we can store our valuable data safely in this external hard drive without any tension.this is very good as well as it has high data transmission rate.today this is like my fren, I can any where since it is very portable. Bought this external hard drive in 2014 mid January, till now hasnt given one single problem. The HDD is very easy to carry and stores upto 1TB.

And the 3.0 usb works very fast and makes file transferring quite easy too. The cable though isn't long enough and this is the only con of the HDD but even after such a long time use no bad sectors issue has come till now.

Even the case is pretty strong and I have dropped the HDD several times but it didn't hamper the casing or the Hard Drive inside. The price has also dropped since the time I bought it was 8 k n now its around 6k.

Disadvantage of this HDD

There are only one problem in this HDD is USB cable is small and we need buy another big USB cable for easy use of the Product.
