Great camera. Pentax I have always liked. Nikon and contex becomes too expensive to afford and others does not match to the taste. Pentax brings quality at a reasonable price. Pentax MZ series has proven to be successful and MZ5 also won camera of the year award also (may be year 1998).
I got MZ 50. Great camera, light compact easy to handle and even then flexible. You can switch to manual mode and try to fiddle with the settings in different conditions. Or just go to auto mode and enjoy the party with nothing to bother about the settings of camera.It has different modes for photography, quick snaps in a stream mode and have other usual features like landscape mode, burn in date and time, closeup mode, portrait mode, exposure compensation, action, flash warning and much more
its good for those who are experienced and want to do the photography by there eye and also good for the beginners, who are still learning the rules.
Just pickup this one in hand ones and you will like the looks of it and the way you feel. Its very light and easy to handle. Recently I bought one from olympus for my brother, it has 30ft twin flash and that was the reason I purchased it, otherwise its not as versatile as pentax.
I did one more thing, I did not purchased the camera with pentax lenses but by Tameron, it reduced the cost in my case and I got a good deal. results are still good with sharp images and I am satisfied.
