Most of us love to watch movies. Myself included. But of late ( past 7 yrs~) I've built a distaste for stuff that requires too much patience. I guess I have a syndrome.
After watching any movie, my throat dries up. My legs hurt and my head throbs with pain.

Are the movies too dry for me? Is it the 180 minutes that irritates me? I have no idea.
This is true especially if I watch a movie in the theaters...
Like Sunday evening, watched this movie called...and I thought it was good one. Good acting, good cinematography. Good direction and all. When I returned home around 1230AM I had a big fat headache. Oh yes, the kind that won't go away without a Tylenol or Crocin.

This is why I avoid all these premiere invitations...and I am afraid I may give an impression that I don't want to attend these events. I am afraid of the headache post show.

Like ok, hear this: About a year ago, I was at Inox Nariman Point at the premiere of this really big budget movie. And all the stars and all were there on the proverbial red carpet. Snacks and all was served. I was in one of the "premiere" seats- whatever that meant.
Fifty minutes later my head started hurting. And it was so bad, I did not want to wait any longer. Poor Aabeda, had to leave the movie too --she was enjoying the show!

Called the driver who was promptly there at the exit and I jumped in the car and came home.

Am I fussy? Or...

Congratulations everyone! India has lifted the CB series. So is India a true world beater now? After all India has beaten the world champs.

I see a lot of dissatifaction about the prices. Agreed that the prices of some gifts have gone up. But that's only one side of the coin. The other side is that the prices of some have come down drastically. Why only look at the glass as half empty?

And more gifts are going to be added. But that will happen only if ....

Watched Jodha Akbar, with Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu at a special screening organized by Ashutosh Gowatikar for DK at YashRaj Studios in Andheri, Bombay.

I've never reviewed any product, coz I don't want to take an official stand on products and services, lest people would feel am endorsing or condemning it, so I'll skip the movie part and talk about the evening.

Saira Banu ( Baaji as I call her) had sent me an SMS the other day asking me to join Dilip Kumar (Dilip Saab to everybody...oh yes, Dilip Saab for Saira Banu too) and followed it up with a call from her secretary. An evening with them is always treasured.

So we were together at the YashRaj Studios. Good movie. Intermission was decorated with lots of sandwiches, juices and samosas. DK and Saira Baaji were looking so good together. Ashutosh mingled with the crowd and brought in his photographer to click his pics with DK and SB...met Ashutosh's parents too. Cool folks. Very humble.

Returned at 11:00 PM...

Now a big fat headache and some acid reflux...maybe too much samosas? So sleepy...yet so much on my mind.

Weekend's here. Life couldn't be better. Got up late and had a great breakfast. Still dopey eyed while tap-tapping on the keyboard.

Since yesterday, was looking forward to reviews on Jodha Akbar. On MouthShut, there are just 7 reviews. A Hritik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai movie and just 7 reviews? That’s it? That’s bad. Is the movie a flop? The reason I ask this is because a hit movie on Saturday usually gets 15-20 reviews on MouthShut. Hopefully Jodha Akbar will catch up and we shall have more reviews on Sunday.
