Good morning.

I hope you have noticed the latest feature on MouthShut - the Pre-Write Review page. This new feature has now made review writing even more easy. Quickly putting down ways to make it easy for everyone to grasp. 

1. Select the Category under which the product is listed
2. Begin typing the name of the product you wish to review
3. You will get an option of products to choose from
4. The 'Write Review' icon will appear only when you have selected the product]
5. Proceed to write the review

You can access the Pre-Write Review page from the Member's Panel - click on the 'Write' icon next to 'My Reviews' - or also through 'My Dashboard' by clicking on 'Write a Review' below your profile picture.

 

 

 

Oh yes, just another tiring day at work and home. Home's always fun and work can be fun when surrounded by wonderful people. At MouthShut.com, I have the good fortune of being around some of the most talented, smart and fun-loving people in this country.

When I reached office, everybody's big smile caught me by surprise. Folks had taken pains to decorate my cabin- thank you everybody at 7PV (our office).

Thanks to all the MouthShut members who sent wonderful real and loads of virtual gifts. Thank you Madhurie for your special diary post...you sure know how to reciprocate the star writer status:-)

Shiraz gave me a cute card with a handwritten note. Ah so lovely.

Before I close this post, wanted to thank all of you again with a bit of what's happening behind the scenes.

a. We're working overtime to re-organize the website. You'll see a new homepage and layout very shortly. Trust me it's very different but will be extremely easy to use and more appealing to the eyes.

b. Suggestions are included: More than 137 suggestions from members via M2M, emails to support and diary posts, have been incorporated in the new designs. Thank you and let those suggestions keep flowing. I promise, we read all of them.

c. More products, more categories to review

f. More social networking options

We all love to shop (except your's truly). Oh, there may be many more who are like me. Shopping and I don't go well. But Aabeda does make up for it. She compensates for all the time I stay away from malls, stores and shops, by shopping till you have the proverbial shop-till-you-drop achieved.
 
But of late I have developed a new interest in shopping -- virtual shopping on MouthShut.com. And I'd like to pamper myself by shopping for myself.
 
Yes,  folks, I can shop for myself on MouthShut.com now. I just gifted myself a Game Console for 1000 MS Points. I think it's well spent.

I ended the weekend with a special announcement and I begin this week with another VERY SPECIAL ONE.  

MouthShut has decided to honour four of its very special members. In lieu of their extraordinary work on the site - reviews, diaries, gifting etc we have decided to give them Bonus Points.  

paulsb02 and chintu25 get 2000 Bonus Points. These two are active in all aspects - writing reviews, comments, diary posts, M2Ms. You name it they are at it. Congratulations guys, take a bow.  

flyingelephant and mbfarookh get 1000 points. These two gents have also been very active. Congrats!

Let’s cut to the chase rightaway. The announcements, of course.

a.       Points –  The points have been increased yet again. Unbelievable? But it’s true.  Writing a review will now earn you 20 points (as opposed to 10 earlier); writing a Diary Post – 10 points(as opposed to 5 earlier); Commenting on a review – 7 points (earlier on 5); Receiving comments on a review - 5 points (earlier 3) so on and so forth. b.      Uploading photos has become extremely easy now.  You just have to browse the picture you wish to upload and Bingo … it’s done.  No more tedious clicking, one simple movement and your picture is uploaded.

c.       The Read Review page is going in for a major redesign. But as a beginning, we’ve made some minor modification. Check the rating column.

The quality of our reviews and diary posts have really gone up and we are very impressed with the work you guys are doing. Keep it up.

I have been an old member of mouthshut. Having participated and once have been lucky enuf to win the competetion where I won a cell phone.

Today I read Paulsb02 post on photo vote competetion. I missed his original posting otherwise I would also have voted. But having said that, the point I want to make is more such member competetions will encourage people like me to participate.

Paul and other such members should be encouraged to organise more original competetions. They make the site dynamic.

I will write to Faisal, CEO and Jasmine, member support head to reward Paul for such original exciting ideas.
