Last night Aabeda had arranged for tickets to that Aamir Khan - nephew - movie...hmmm, what was it? Jaaney tu something. I agreed to endure the 3 hours on the condition that I will walk out if it's boring.

Oh darn, I found it tad slow pace but she was loving it. And to emphasize her liking for the movie, during the interval she pulled out her mobile. She typed a review of the movie, by starting MS and then the review. Boom her SMS review was posted on mouthshut homepage.

That was a good way to score a brownie point. I was like "Ok , sure, now that you've posted an SMS review of the movie, I will watch it till the end".

Hi everyone: I am pleased to announce a new set of changes on MouthShut.com. Nothing drastic -:) but yes something which is based on the feedback of many users and something which is going to make life a lot more simple.

I am talking about Email Alerts.

What we have done is simply put together a whole chunk of Email Alerts. Instead of receiving individual alerts on your review or diary post, you will get them at a particular timing in the form of a summary. Every six hours you will receive Alerts on Review Rated. Timings: 3 am, 9 am, 3 pm and 9 pm

Every four hours you will receive comments posted on your diary, your review, diary written by others and review written by others. Timings: 12 midnight, 4 am, 8 am, 12 noon, 4 pm, and 8 pm.

You would be happy to note that we have done away with the Friends' Friend' Trusted Circle Alert. Not fair, some members wrote to us and we have heard you.

Gift Alerts is now auto log in. Just click on the link in the email of the Gift Alerts and you'd be led to your Gift Page.

The content of a lot of alerts has been modified.

We have been receiving quite a few suggestions from members regarding the new redesign. Just thought of clarifying a few things.

1. Navigation

Navigation is still simple. Instead of 50 more reviews, we have the tab of 'Recent Reviews' which are then put into five different pages.

2. Search

The parameters have not changed.

3. Hot Profiles

Here the idea is to highlight members who are active. If you post a review, diary post or pictures and if you have your Profile Picture on, then you would appear in Hot Profiles. We do not wish to exhibit pretty faces here. You have a profile picture and you are active, you step in here.

Folks, MouthShut was a review platform and will always remain so. We are not becoming a social networking site. Reviews were and are our priority always. Some tools have been used to bind the community members to each other as it was the MouthShut Community that made MouthShut what it is today.

And yes, Email Alerts are working fine. If you do not receive them, please do check your Bulk/Spam folders.

Mouthshut's new design change is good. But the feature I love most is the M2M History with this member.

Just below the M2M message is a history of your conversations with that particular member. Now I can recall in words everything I wrote that particular member and everything the member wrote to me.

God bless whoever thought of this feature. Have you used it? I just the full history of my M2M with madhuriesingh. It gave me a chance to reflect where we both had misunderstanding and how we both resolved it.

M2M History has helped me a lot.
