This is a worst customer care service. There is no any starting coil set at customer care centre .Its technician also not reliable. They do not know its electrical side .One scooter burn already 5 nos of starting coil assembly in 3 months , what its actual fault they do not know. Only change the coil that always burn after 5 to 10 days gap .

So I want to know what its actual fault. And how I can start the scooter and run it maximum 5 years?

My Nova 115 cc has never properly charged the battery, as I always had to charge it manually.  It is a 2005 machine, 8500 Km's.  Finally I decided to inspect why it was not charging.  It appear that the alternator (magneto) has 3 windings,

1 for all the running lights, 1 for the CDI ignition , and a winding for the battery charging.  The lights and the battery charging is one winding with a centre tap.  It seems that my particular bike had

2 opens in the charging leg of the winding, a problem from the factory,

I repaired the opens, and it is now charging according to spec, .1A - .5A. If you are having similar problems, check the outputs of the alternator with an AC voltmeter before spending lots of money.  Use the diagrams in the service manual, they are helpfull

.

Good luck.

Great pickup, bad electric parts.
Apr 08, 2008 03:21 PM 12764 Views

I am riding Kinetic Nova for last 4 years and daily cover 30KM in Bangalore's heavy traffic. There are lots of positive and negative things. Negative first. Like somebody wrote, I had problem with Battery in the begining itself. Then I had problem with IC-starter problem. Then with bulbs. Totally electric parts are very weak or may be battery and accessories not in coordination. One experience mechanic suggested me to have Bajaj Chetak's electric parts. I had minor problems always after Servicing.

Great pickup is the biggest positive. Balance depends on rider's personality. Hight is good and good clearance. Mileage was initially good. I was getting 50Km/L  and now after 4 years I am getting 35KM/L. Head light is good and bright. Breaking is good and smooth.

Thing is get the vehicle serviced regularly with the good mechanic. I had once complained with company by mail about the servicing and they are prompt in escalating the things. Great Kinetic.

I recommend this scooter only for short ride not for long rides.

It is an absolute Dis-appointment!!
Sep 18, 2006 09:25 AM 11817 Views

I bought NOVA 135 in January 2006. I bought it primarily based on the specifications as there was no Battery start vehicle in this category.

During the first month of operation itself the Battery gave away. I had to kick-start the vehicle every time which was a herculian task.

The service staff is not trained at all or they are frustrated too! with the vehicle performance & the ire of customers (which is nothing but natural) The scooter had to be taken twice after a free-service for stopping oil-leak which was primarily a case of poor workmanship.

The worst happened after. Now the vehicle stops on the way & then refuses to start not even kickstart. It only has to be pushed to a garage or call the local mechanic to the spot for repairs.

I will not re-commend such a bad vehicle witha poor after sales support force. The customer is left to his fate only.

NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sep 08, 2006 09:09 PM 10868 Views

Dreamt of riding my own two wheeler jumping across the pothole filled Mumbai roads in style. Scraching the head till the last hair, become a proud owner of a brand new NOVA fooled by the catchy advertisements. Never rode any vehicle barring the trustworthy bycicle, took the nova pushing to the nearby road, early in the morning before anybody leave the bed. Happy at face, fast beating heart, gave a try pushing the 'Self starter Button". Creeek the voice came, vehicle did not start, tried again and again and again, nothing happened. Opted for "kick Start", nothing happened. the milk man came, offered some advice, nothing happened, the news paper boy tried his skills, nothing happened, I was worried being paid a good sum, feared about shame facing the neighbours, took it back home hoping for a "better tomorrow". Tried again next day, problem is the same, then began the misery of service center concept. The service boys came. with lots of difficulties took it away, brought it back saying all ok. But the vehicle never started in the morning, it happend for some more days tested my patience, I was of all hope, service center people got bored, I was helpless, emailed to the superior, fast came the reply as fast the boys, took the nova for a thorough check up, kept it for a fortnight, found the truth, by the time precious 9 months gone. Now all are happy, me too, the vehiicle is moving, 4 years gone now,iam still the proud owner. Happy ending!!!!!! Lage raho!!!. I still love my NOVA.

The worst scooter in the world !!!!
Aug 28, 2006 05:13 PM 10820 Views

Let me start it this way : DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOTER!!!

I have driven many too wheelers before... I bought this kinetic NOVA about 8 months ago... In this 8 months I have taken this scooter to the service center almost 10 times.. Looks wise it's good... (that was one of the reasons why I bought it... but I made a big mistake) Worst thing about nova is

1) Poor mileage.. Currently it is giving me just 30.. Once it gave 50 and that's it.. You always have to use the chock to start it. Especially when it rains.. you really have to fight with this machine. The mechanic would reduce the hidling to give more mileage.. and it would stop in every signal light. you will always need to keep the throttle to keep the engine running..

2) it's horrible breaking system.. I had changed the breaks twice already within 8 months and

3) it's wierd pick-up when you start it..I will shake you off a bit when you start.. so annoying...

4) It's kick-starter... it's somewhere underneath the scooter.. If you kick it hard, it may even fall off..

5) Last but not least... Very very poor after sales service..Very un-friendly. The service centers will just want you money.. that's all. They wont do any repair. They will just change the parts even if they are good..

I bought it for Rs 42,000/-.. It's not worth that much at all.. If you are considering it, DON'T BUY IT. Kinetic - STUPID COMPANY making LOUSY SCOOTERS. My friend bought Honda Activa. It is much much better.. It gives 50 KMPL consistantly and hassle-free.

Bad engineering frm the Kinetic stable
Jun 29, 2006 12:11 PM 10103 Views

Hi !!!!

I really appreciate kinetic's moves to bring in better, efficient and powerful vehicles,,but their initiatives in the recent years have proved futile. Infact,Kinetic's sales and pride has gone down in recent years.

All tis due to their poor engineering and very poor after sales service.

The vintage kinetic honda was much much better which started heads turn to the kinetic company.

All the aspects of tht vehicle was good and the customers liked it..

Then, came the NOVA which was much expected vehicle. The external appearance and designing was all fine but the vehicle didnt prove good in the long run.

First, the kick starter, the worst in its kind. I rarely used the kick starter and when the necessity arised,,the kick starter broke in two or three attempts. The teeth of the sprocket gets damaged and the service people blame us for not knowing how to use it. BUT,,this continued even after servicing and all the expediture and it developed the same problem within a week or two after its service. Obviously, any company has to take responsibility if the problem persists immediately after service. But,the service centre were mean and said another paid service. Who will like to pay money again for the same problem. Then,we directly contacted the kinetic head office and after they took the steps these people here in chennai service it again without any charges. They had an annoying face all thru the service period.

Next, te body is so poorly engineered that it develops some protrusions over a period of time and creates hinderance when you drive. Foe example, the corners of the foot rest.

The switches get clogged frequently and the performance of the vehicle is very very poor. The vehicle vibrates even at a spped of 40kmph. The pickup has drastically come down,,,even after servicing they are not able to bring the same pickup which was there at the time of purchase.

The vehicle has been handled only by me and my father and both of us are safe and soft drivers. So,,I truly dont handle the vehicle roughly.Inspite of this, the vehicle develops problems.

God knows the plight of the vehicle in the hands of rash drivers.

Overall,,the vehicle does not satisfy you in the long run although it may seem impressive compared to other brand at the time of purchase.

The kinetic needs to test the vehicle properly taking into mind whether these vehicles annoy the customers in the long run or not.

I have checked out most of the comments in mouthsut.com...Although,,people rate the vehicle very good,,even they dont have good comments about the service centres all over india. So,without good service centres even a very good vehicle will deteriorate in the long run.

The new kinetic blaze again looks too good.....BUT,,who knows the problems it may develop in the long run.

Thanks,

Arvind.

Hiya

My verdict on the scooter - Fantabulous!!! Good looking, better than the most in its league. Impressive head and tail lights! If it doesn't make jaws drop, certainly does make heads turn! Very reliable performance, tested and tried in rough terrain...my brother took it away for a a while to drive in the hills...had no complaints with power or performance...except that it is now scraped from the underside!!! so I guess ground clearance is not that great...esp on the sides if you make acute turns around the corners.

Seat is pretty low, so a plus for short ppl like me! Excellent after sales services. Also noticed that the vehicle on the whole is balanced. when you try to leave the scooter balanced it doesnt tilt to one side, whereas Honda Activa does (is it the engine that is balanced? dunno...not a techie myself!). Great storage space, better than its contemporaries. Light and easy to manoeuver. Doesnt skid in the rain, what a blessing!

Been using it for 2 years and it still rocks!

Cheers

Ok but not worth it.
Feb 24, 2006 07:12 PM 13444 Views

My main reasons for buying the Nova were power, mileage and comfort.Initially I was going to buy a Honda Dio or maybe an Activa but after test driving the Nova I knew it was what I was looking for .115 cc ,more than what Activa and Dio ware offering ,I got the mileage maximiser ,a really large storage compartment under the seat and ''great mileage''.

Now the last bit isnt true, the mileage given to me by the Nova has been very average, and believe me I use the bike very carefully. They say it will give you say 50 kmpl(I think the company claims 65) but the bike will give you an average of about 35 to 40 kmpl. Now the Nova also comes with a baggage of technical faults( as I have been told by several of the mechanics I have visited.)As soon as my bike starts and I go from 0 to 10 or 20 kmph ,first gear ,the whole bike shudders, the body shakes, however this doesnt happen after you go a little faster say 30 kmph.I went to the mechanic several times to get this repaired finally I had to change I really expensive part which costed me about 1000 rs(I dont want to get into technicalitiesbut it was a rubber part which the gears fit into) ,the showroom I bought it for also serviced the nova saying that it was a problem most of their customers received. The Brakes are Pathetic, but that seems to be the feature in all of kinetic's bikes.Pathetic brakes.Dont rely on them ever ,specially in the rainy season, the bike skids every time you try to take a decently sharp(not sharp mind you ) turn and you tilt the bike a bit, there she goes. The gears definitely have a problem.

I dont know abot the shock absorbers but you really fell even the slightest bump in the road.THe smallest pothole is a pain to the ass, this a very important point since we live in India.

I personally think the seating is a little uncomfortable for the second passenger sitting behind the driver, its really high and slopes a bit too much(good for the boys though).

The thing is if you are spending so much money why not buy an activa or a dio which costs about the same. The bodys pretty heavy and added to that the bike skids like crazy so if you cant control it dont even think of buying it.I have never ever had startup problems with the Nova, ever however cold or 'not used for a while' it has been.

But after I bought it for the first 8 -10 months it was a headache because of the problems the thing gave me.Believe me go for a techniacally sound bike,in the long run it shall be more suitable.

Nova. Nothing compares to you!
Nov 08, 2005 02:43 PM 10533 Views

We purchased our Nova in June-2003, just before the 135 version was out from Laxmi Automobiles in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. We confess, we went to the showroom to buy an Activa (we did not know of the split then) which we were very much decided on because we have tried it before. The Kinetic sales guy offered us a Nova test drive and we could not believe Kinetic was beating Honda. This scooter was very much lighter (which was a benefit to my wife), powerful (that one is for me) and beutifull (that's for all of us including our son). Frankly, we did not question anything apart from Mileage (promised around 40+) and Price (again 40K total) and just bought it.

Two years plus down the line the scooter has given us pure pleasure. It has run around 10,000 KMs by now and it is not showing its age (yet). I have not paid much attention to the mileage-check indicator that says above 55 is bad (my favorite is 70 which is still comfortable). I still get 40+ Kms average on HP-POWER. I regularly service my scooter (once every three months), and the expenses have been minimal (approx. Rs. 200 per visit including regular oil change, some additional accessories, etc.)

On the negative side, the headlight goes off the moment acceleration is stopped (is a problem on bumpy, dark road). Also, in the initial 100 mts of the day the engine dies (especially when I take it down the slope to get it out of my building).

I have faced a tyre puncture only once and I have never been stuck on a highway because of breakdown. (something I could not say about my Zen).

The storage space is fantastic (although my wife would still demand more). I am 6-ft, 94 KGs and yet I am comfortable on the scooter (more than on say Activa).

I understand Nova 135 is better in mileage. Well, the good has just got better.

Kinetic Nova 135
Sep 16, 2005 05:05 PM 9541 Views

Initially I was reasonably satisfied i.e. upto one and half month of purchase thereafter I dont no why things have completely deteriorated after my first servicing. I feel that your service and support staff has done something with my scooter i.e. (change of parts, non replacement of engine oil etc. etc.). Self Start was a very important lure for me to purchase this scooter because I am a patient of JOINT PAINS but even after installing a new Self after first servicing things have failed to improve. Self is still not working properly making me terribly dissatisfied.

I am terribly disatisfied ever since I purchased this Scooter. The company had made tall promisses but has failed to live upto them. I went against the tied (recommendations) of my friends, collegues and purchased this Scooter, but now I fully realize how right all of them were. I strongly recommend to disrecommend against purchasing the scooter to all new buyer. Technical specifications like Headlights, Scooter Sound and the look are not upto the mark.

Let down
Aug 24, 2005 10:49 AM 8814 Views

After reading raving reviews about Kinetic Nova, I went ahead and bought the scooter as looks wise it looks quite good but the performance is a real let down. The biggest problem is of brakes as it takes lot iof time as compared to its competition to come to complete halt after applying brakes. In a city like Delhi where traffic is huge and you need to cut corners and sharp bends it gives real problem to taller person like me. I thought I am buying 135cc engine over Honda's 100 cc engine it will give a better throughput but it gives more or less the same throughput.

Another big problem is of service centers, the place from where I bought the scooter, it takes time for the engineers to diagnose a problem and they do not keep spare parts as well. You keep on looking at them for solution but such lazy service people, well I am trying to comapre it with Bajaj service center and Maruti Servcie centers.

I just want to point out that it is not as good as I thought or perceived. Kinetic has do a lot. If they improve the service standards and give little moew thought on detailing then definitely there are chances for improvement but it looks like they are busy in trying to increase their fading Motorcycle business. I must tell Kinetic that future will be now scooters as there are no place fr cars and bikes are not meant for family purpose or shopping purposes.

Good power milage not impressive
Nov 26, 2004 11:56 AM 8833 Views

Kinetic Nova 115CC is agood scooter, its got good power which will give very nice city ride. Handling is not so great as it tends to loose control at high speeds. The braking also needs improvement as it doesn't stop as you desire especially at speedss 60+ KMPH.

The looks are great and very nice thing about the Scooter is storing space its got huge space below the seat which is as good as Maruti 800 boot.

The main draw back what I feel is the milage is disappointing and the shocks are pretty hard , the engine very smooth but due to hard shocks if the roads are not good you are in for back pain.

For short distances its extremely useful since the power is good for long travel its vvery bad since the shocks are not good, especialy after riding bike for almost 10-12 years NOVA ride is not so comfortable for me as for as handling or ride quality is concerned. I feel they should work on Shocks/brakes.

Scooter of the yr? you must be kidding!!!

Hey!!

....Well Who Can Know More About The Nova Than Me !!! I Bought The Bike On Feb 7th 2002 , And I Seriously Regret Buying The Bike...

I Should Have Waited For The Activa Or Dio Instead. I Have Sold The Bike Just Few Days Back And I Am Waiting For My Dio To Arrive. Trust Me , You Are In A Total Soup.

In The Last Recent Yrs, I Have Spent Almost 50,000 Just Repairing The Bike. The Bike Was Idle For A Month.

The Kick Is Of No Use , I Almost Broke My Leg Kicking The Bike. The Button Start Is Just For Name Sake. Half Of The Time The Bike Doesnt Start. I Have Read The Earlier Reviews, Talk About Morningsss...!!! The Bike Sucks !!!! I Have Got Late For My Exams On Account Of The Bike Not Starting.

On An Average Estimated, My Bike Has Been With The Mechanics The Most. And Even If You Plan To Sell The Bike , You Wont Get Any Good Price So Dont Be Sad , Just Be Happy That You Got Rid Of It.

I Almost Kept My Spirits High Each Time The Bike Worked For A Week But Then I Realized It Was High Time selling The Bike And I Think I Did Make A Right Decision.

Well I Don?t Have To Complain About The Seating, Fuel Efficiency Or The Storing Capacity. I Was Pretty Content With These Features.

I Can Relate So Many Incidents The Day The Bike Has Disappointed Me. I Remember Riding The Bike The First Time. I Was Very Happy, Though It Sounded Like A Silent Jet. But The Tuning Was Extremely Fast.

I Was Not Bothered About The Fuel Intake, Have No Comments On It. Then Down The Line In 2 Months, The Bike Skidded. Those Who Want To Perform Stunts Pls Hire The Bike Coz It Will Show You The Way To The Doctor For Sure.

I Have Fallen With It By Braking, In Water And In Mud.

I Seriously Regret Advising My Friend To Buy The Same Bike, And Now She Too Is Suffering With It. Her Bike Is Idle For So Many Months. She Has Taken The Bike To The Lakshmi Service Centre, And Has Got It Back The Same Way.

The Service Centre Is The Last Place You Can Ever Want To Leave The Bike. Even If The Bike Doesn?t Work , Give It To The Worst Mechanic , Probably He Will Make It Work But Do Not , Strictly Do Not Give It To The Service Centre....Its My Request!!!! One Of My Most Memorable Moments On The Bike Was; The Day I Almost Missed Dying!!!!!!

I Was Cruising On The Santa Cruz Fly Over, Where Suddenly My Back Tyre Got Jammed And My Piston Seized. I Was Lucky And Fortunate To Be Riding On The Left Where No Vehicles Were Behind. I Would Have Seriously Gone For A Toss. Though The Parts Are Cheap, It?s A Total Waste of Money!!!!

The Mirrors Are Seriously Useless, They Keep Breaking. Oh Yeah How Could I Forget The Sound That It Makes. It?s Terrible!!!!!!! I Was So Embarrassed Riding The Bike. It Sounds Wore Than A Helicopter. All The Parts Are Strictly Delicate.

This Is One of the Most Important Features: Easy Maintenance: Single Screw Access to Spark Plug & Carburetor, 3 Screw Access to Complete Engine; 2 Year Warranty Allllllll Rubbish...'.Good Riddens To Bad Rubbish' This Bike Will Give You A Chance To Meet All The Mechanics In India!!!!!!

Well , There Is No Space To Write More....But In Short , Take My Advice......... ' Dont Ever , Ever Make The Mistake Of Buying This Bike, You Rather Be Happy With Your Cycle'

Kinetic Nova Dlx 115cc
Sep 28, 2004 02:59 PM 12829 Views

I have bought a Kinetic Nova about 21 months ago after reading a lot of reviews posted on this site as well as other sites. There were a lot of positive aspects mentioned. This bike seemed to meet all the requirements I had in mind with an additional positive of storage as well.

I was looking for bike that I could use in the city, for shopping & on the highway. Therefore what I wanted was a gearless bike, ample storage, good power, sturdy & reliable. I found most of these in the kinetic nova. Seeing the kind of research I had done, a friend of mine also decided to go in for the bike. We both purchased the Nova & Nova Dlx in December 2002 from Laxmi Auto, Andheri West, Mumbai.

However, right from the start I found that the company had misguided customers about the features of the bike, especially the mileage. Upto the first service I was able to achieve only around 40 kms/litre after the first service all my troubles started. When I was sold the bike I was told that with the DLX model that had the 'mileage expert' I would be able to achieve around 60-65kmpl. Till date I've not recieved more than 48kmpl on average. ( Once I did receive 53kmpl but that was just a fluke a suppose ).

Over the period of a year and a half I've been visiting the mechanic almost once a fortnight with some problem or the other so much so that we all know each other on a first name basis. I've tried visiting the laxmi workshop at Andheri and then shifted to the one at Govandi which seems to be giving me better service.

In around 18 months and 15,000 odd kms. I've changed:-

the gears (as the teeth were worn),

the float pin twice,

the magneto nut on the clutch plates at least 4 times,

the roller pin,

inlet manifold ( to improve mileage ),

fuel inlet pipe ( this one ripped off and emptied my tank on the way to work, incidentally my friend faced the same problem after around 10000 kms )

My fuel gauge seems to have gone beserk and shows me a full tank even though I've got less than a litre in it. The mechanics can't seem to figure this one out even if their lives depended on it.

Luckily, so far most of the expensive parts like the gear change has been replaced under warranty. The rest I've had to pay for.

What I would advise anybody contemplating on buying the Nova is that they should go in for the bike only if they have a thorough understanding on how bikes work and they know every minute detail about a bike. One should also keep aside around Rs.300/- per month for servicing and replacement of some part or the other. When one factors in these expenses it would be cheaper to travel by a rickshaw. I'm now interested in selling the bike anybody out there who is interested please contact me.

Help on un-geared scooters
Aug 04, 2004 01:00 PM 8960 Views

I am planning to buy a ungeared vehicle for my family but not sure where to start off from. So as a starter, Can people reading through this review give me the un-geared scooteretes that I need to test drive before making a decision? There's a whole lot of vehicles out there & I would appreciate if anyone could help me narrow down this list.

My requirements, as would be anybody, is the vehcile should

  1. Give a very good mileage

  2. Less on maintenance

  3. Spare parts availability

  4. Have good after sales support

The current one's that I have in mind are

  1. Kinetic Nova

  2. Kinetic Honda

  3. Honda Active.

  4. Any other vehicles I can test drive?

Also, if you are from pune, can you tell me the better dealers for Kinteic Nova/Honda Active out of the available lot.

Any help in this regard would be most welcome.

Excellent
Jul 19, 2004 12:13 AM 9003 Views

I'll be honest with you guys at first, I read mouthshut.com to decide which bike to buy I was not sure weather to buy the kinetic nova or the honda activa. I rode both of them and came to realize that both were almost the same exept for apearence and some other trivial details.

So decidind which one to buy was truly a challenge but finally I made a decicion to buy the nova for it's looks only. And it has amazing pickup and suspension. And I have had no problems since I bought it exept for a small dent, some car hit it while parked, which was replaced.

If you are deciding on which bike to buy in the 40000 range I would definitely recommend the kinetic nova but depending on your needs and necessities. I would also tell you to test drive both the Honda Activa as well as the Kinetic Nova.

Luckily for me, my sister bought the Activa and the toughest decision for me, since my sister is currently on a trip, is which one to take.

I am sure whichever one you pick, it will be worth your money.

Power packed performer!! (edited)
Jul 03, 2004 09:02 AM 10041 Views

So after reading the exhaustive user reviews on mouthshut I bought the nova.. it has been three days and it is not yet the time for reviewing the product, but I just would like to express my gratitude to all users for guiding me in the right direction.

My first impression in the first 3days. ( After one week / first service is given at the end of review) Now she has done a 1100 Km

Positives.

  1. Great looks - it turns heads wherever it goes (or its me ! hehe)

  2. Simply amazing pick up. Feels like a tow truck. Carries me and mom. Thats close to 130kg and the compartment full of goods weighing about 10kg without the slightest hesitation. Power to match the activa's reputation of quick pickup. As I have been around two activas for two years and know the scooter quite well. (I admire it as well)

  3. Very well balanced ride compared to the activa.. this feels like the scooter doesnt want to be unstable.

  4. Humongous storage space compared to activa.

  5. Comes with all the required accessories unlike the activa where the price is not inclusive of even the number plate!.

  6. Good lights and bright blinkers.

Negatives

  1. Cornering is a nightmare, the bottom stand hits the ground the minute I lean hard left at a reasonable angle. But leaning right is fine enough. (As I bought the scooter for my mom and dad- they are never going to xperience this problem)

It can take a quick left turn with plenty of confidence, though.

  1. Fit and finish- in keeping with the kinetic tradition, a very close examination reveals that the joints are not all that very well fitting. there are few gaping holes on the floorboard (Other than that I found the nova quite well finished )

Now I wud recommend the nova for 2 reasons

  1. Riding comfort. If u r looking for a scooter for ur mom and dad, forget the activa.. ( I did catch an occasional activa rider looking at the nova with a ''I should have bought that'' look on his face as I overtook them on the road)

  2. Style.. Who am I to rate the nova as it has already proved its looks on a competion-- the NID design awards were well deserved , but I do feel an integrated bumper was absolutely necessary. They have made up for it using a strong steel aftermarket accessory. Affects the looks however.

  3. The scooter of the year award is not given just like that.. I have been reading automags for 5+years and I think they do know which is the better product.

  4. Storage - it is a small car when it comes to load carrying.

If anyone is not interested these should be the reasons.

  1. Kicking the scooter to life needs practice and it has to be on its center stand to do that.

  2. They dont like gearless scooters.

  3. They are like the rest of the herd that does not believe that an indian product can match up to jap quality. The name HONDA seems to attract customers in droves.

  4. Low ground clearance (same as activa)

  5. Is not fiercely advertised or did not come to india with pedigree.

I think the nova is a good buy if u know its limitations. and trust me I have been around my friends activas for two years... It is a great scooter, truly. But there is NOTHING that the more stylish and bigger Nova cant do and the activa can!

Edit....

After a week.

1.The scooter is giving 40+kmpl roughly, completely driven in the city in nothing but stop and go trafiic.

  1. I am racing calibers and centras on the road and wow! dont they hate it when a scooter goes vroom past them. ( I am a very careful driver though)

  2. My mom tried a hand at it and has started to like it.

4.I sent a feedback mail to kinetic and they responded warmly more than once.

  1. Kinetic is coming out with an aggressive campaign during asia cup.

  2. Powerful lights.

  3. Takes corners like a piece of cake now that I have got used to it. Not very low lean angles but comfortable.

  4. Power oozes like a bulldozer from this silent little engine.

After one month

Had a problem once as I hurt her underbelly. The scooter started taking off on its own.. imagine stoppin a 7 bhp + machine that decides to run on its own!! but the service centre guy got it repaired in 10 minutes!! cable seating had fallen off channel.. so be careful and dont scrub her.

I took her out on the highway to Trivandrum and got Hold your breath - 60-63 Kmpl!! before first service..I was riding as guide by the MMX.

After first service

The kicker is smoother and starts up evry morning without a hitch..

I am in love!!

I bought this Scooter 23 months ago. I faced so many problem with this scooter.

1.From the first month I am complaining in show room the the scooter is shaking even when I drive at 30KMPH. After 20 months the work shop deside that the problem with the tyres of the scooter. It is with donlop tyres. I don't know why the company support such kind of tyres ?

2.I am dissatisfied about the millage it give for the last one year at workshop. Till now they don't find reason for that. It gives Below 30KM per liter.

3.The scooter troubles me with starting problem. Even the Battery is full charge it troubles me so many times. I took the scooter to the showroom on Auto two time in 6months.

4.Finally I came to one dession ''Don't Believe in Kinetic ''. They have worst service. Their prices are too high in the market. The scooter maintenance is too much, worst performance. Even resale of this vehicles is also low.

My sincere advice to any one is don't buy Kinetic Nova. I wont carry you - You have to carry it.
