Have you ensured that all the past winners have been paid their prize money ? My reviews were ROD on 20.10.2012 and 23.10.2012 and upon asking by MS Support, I had sent the details of my bank account (alongwith a copy of my PAN card) at support@mouthshut.com. However the prize money has not come to my account.

This matter was communicated by me to yourself too.

I repeat my request to look into the matter, else the declaration remains a declaration only, not implemented.

My friend had bought a 3G dongle (e-stick) from Univercell Kammanhalli outlet a week back.
Net activation is still pending.
When contacted the network service provider - it is known that the documents (which is given a week back) is not received and re-directed to speak to the retailer who sold the product!.
When contacted Univercell, they say that the have no idea and have already submitted all relevant documents collected and is in process.
Having paid the money in advance, now he is running back & forth - redirected by Univercell and caught in between the network service provider.
When asked for refund of the money paid in advance- for which he has been kept in waiting for hours to say that they do not refund now and have to wait for the concerned authority to visit the store. Waiting for hours that person did not turn up.

Seriously he doesnt know what is happening!
Now all he want is the refund of the money paid and cancellation of any activation process immediately.
He is being forced to go to consumer forums and online - been behind this wasting his precious time for the last week!!...Read More

Prize money has been transferred to those winners whose account details were provided to us. For legal and regulatory reasons, we cannot transfer prizes to a relative or friend.

I had provided my bank account details (and a copy of my PAN card) by an e-mail sent at support@mouthshut.com long back and it's also notable that my review was ROD on the opening day of the contest itself. @caretaker assured me through M2M on 21.11.2012 that my prize money would be sent to my account within a day. However till now, it has not been done.

I am entitled for Rs. 3000/- for 3 RODs (including the ROD of today). I will send the bank account details again at support@mouthshut.com as well as through M2M to yourself and the caretaker. Now it is up to you people whether you are interested in making the payment for which I am eligible as per your own declaration.

Let me suggest as follows.
1 For best reivew for the first time by new members say one year make it 5000 for the first time.
2 For regular members from one thousand to 2000 is better.One thousand s not enough is my opinion.

Anyone wishing to buy a product or service, would like to hear about it and its performance/ service from earlier/ latest users. Hence the reviews should be honest and should be a good guide to prospective users of the product/ service. It is here that a site like Mouthshut comes in handy or useful. Offering prizes to the best reviews is indeed a good idea. Many manufacturers/ service providers turn to Mouthshut and try to remedy defects, so as to make their products/ services better.
