Sites like these give you option to find your “match” by entering your search criteria. Clicking a button and the result is list of prospective brides/grooms. The site I am writing review about is Swayamwara.com. This site is for those who are seriously in to finding grooms/bride on the net. Different from a common dating sites where you have funny usernames and ids. What I like about the site

a) They claim to have a huge database. Approximately 60, 000 users

b)  You can recieve all your responses to your mobile phone as well as email.

c)The is easily navigable and easy to understand

d) You can become a free member of this site d) The profiles that I have found seem to be genuine. The functionalities provided by the site a) Search – you can enter your search criteria and get list people of your choice. Believe me there are few good ones b) Messages – If you like someone you can send him/her a free proposal. Premium services requires you to be a paid member by making a payment around 750 for 3 months. Profile – You can build in your profile like name, nakashatra, rasi etc. etc. Upload photo/horoscope.

There is an option to protect your photo, so that everyone does not see it. You have regular email alerts. The whole process if I can summarize is You register Create a profile for yourself . So people who are in look for brides/grooms can register to this site and find a match. I have come across few parents who register their children here and are using it so site can be called a modern day matchmaker.
