Recipemix

Recipe Mix is an interesting site. I had gone through this site sometime back and I was not very impressed with the site to write a review on it. This site has improved greatly and well it is a compact site with a lot of information about cooking.

The home page has a simple welcome and provides you with links to their different sections. They have got some cute animations which make the page pleasant. There is a mention of the week's special dish which you can try out.

There are five main sections in this home page.

The Recipes section has an interesting database of recipies. They have a variety of cuisines ranging from Italian to Mexican to Indo-Chinese cuisine. There is a section for vegetarian and non-vegetarian specials and you also can browse through their dessert section which has a collection of Indian sweets which are fairly easy to make and good to eat. Their soup section is also very interesting which contains simple but tasty soup recipes.

If you are interested in fish dishes, you can check out the seafood section. The snacks section provides you with fast to cook and good to eat Indian snacks which goes well with beer, wine, tea or coffee.

The next section is about Cooking Tips which provides you with helpful tips about different types of cooking.

The Glossary is also pretty helpful with the measurement table and all the food items being described so that it is easier to understand. So if you want to cook Indian food and you dont know the english term for the ingredient or spice used, you can refer to this glossary.

There is a section called the Living Room which provides news and views about stuff like Headline News, Entertainment News, Nutrition News and Fashion News. The news links are quite helpful if you want to update yourself with whats happening around the world.

The Shopping section allows you to shop for stuff though for some reason this link is not working. So I cannot write about what you can shop.

You can also send greeting cards through this site. The link takes to you to https://123greetings.com which is one of the best card sites.

My suggestion

The site is too simple. Maybe it could be improved with better graphics and alignment of graphics. The content is great. The look and the feel of the site needs to be improved.

For example the glossary page is very plain and it can be refurbished to look more appealing. There is too much text and very restrained visual appeal. Along with content the look and the feel of the site matters a lot too. Maybe some food snapshots with the recipes couldbe added.

Another problem which I came across is that the pages take quite some time to load and many a times I had to refresh the pages.

Great going Puthrans. You need to work on this site more to make it look much more professional and attractive. Otherwise its just great !!

The site is a good effort. But its too small. It lacks basic features such as search. There are lot of sites which are in market now, one which I often visit is Bawarchi.com Just saw this site so visited, might come back again also, as bawarch.com also does not fulfill my need every time. About this site I have following points to make:

1.) Lacks basic feature of search.

2.) Make your pages small, all the recipies on one page make teh page too long. This will reduce the loading time.

3.) On the home page make it more attractive. Try and put more of recipies direct link over there. Like the ones which have been viewed by others.

4.) Look for adding recipies by users. You never know when people surprise you with best of recipies.

5.) Try and not use shadows in Headtings, its irritating and difficult to read at times for people.

I was browsing through Mouthshut looking for something new to write about and I saw Recipemix.com. I was curious so I went to check out the site. I immediately book marked it.

In addition to all the recipes Recipemix has cooking tips, a glossary, and a living room that features current events.

I will be visiting this site daily. It will help me determine great dishes to prepare for my family.

Yes, I am talking about 'RecipeMix.com '. I found it a very fascinating cookery site. I have book -marked it already so that I can visit it again and again. Such a wonderful site !

As you can imagine, I am interested in cooking and in trying out new recipes .That is the reason , I keep searching for cookery sites. RecipeMix.com gives lot of interesting recipes , both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

You can see recipes for Kabab Nuggets, Mutton Moghlai , Chicken Briyani , Spicy Mutton gravy to name a few in the non-veg section. Is your mouth watering ? Then you have to visit this website .

The layout is excellent . Specially, the chef dancing with the pan and spoon was interesting to watch.

There is a glossary giving a list of ingredients ,terms used with their meaning . I found that very helpful. Even foreigners will find that feature very useful. I know many people , who are interested in Indian cooking . There is a relevant conversion table also.

Next you can visit their living room , where you can read headline news , presented in a very neat manner. You get lots of news ! News on nutrition, entertainment and fashion ! Each in separate sections with interesting stuff to go through !

You also get cooking tips for cooking non-veg and vegetarian dishes . Apart from that you get cooking tips for cooking Chinese food, Italian food and for their own recipes.

Today, I would have spent more than an hour visiting this wonderful site . It is worth visiting and I am sure you will enjoy your visit !

I came to know about this site ,while going through MOUTHSHUT reviews. As I am interested in cooking <I usually don't miss any opportunity to go through different recipe sites.This site has different kinds of recipes like veg, non-veg,snacks,deserts etc. What I like most about this site is the picture of the dish next to the recipe. This give us an idea of how the dish must look after it has been prepared.I have tried out a few veg recipes contained in this site..On the whole it is a good site.
