Surprise......... FROM imint
Sep 06, 2008 12:21 PM 1275 Views

*Surprise.........

*Previously I had written a review about IMINT cards and I had mentioned that the only thing you will get from this site is FREE “SERVER ERROR MESSAGE.

But now I am changing my stand since I got my goodies delivered on right time thro imint.

Recently I shifted my residence, so I put a query in the site asking how to change the address, after 2 days I received a call form imint office and asked to give my new address. I gave the address and they asked for five days to change the address. The operator was very polite and helpful. With five days the address was changed.

After THE INITIAL SUCCESS I WAS READY FOR THE KILL, so I ordered a weigh balance and a polo luggage trolley. The delivery date I REQUESTED AS dec 5, but to my surprise the weigh balance arrived much before the committed delivery date and the polo arrived on the correct committed date.

Here I take the opportunity to congratulate IMINT for improving their service and delivering results. OLD MESSAGE POSTED GIVEN BELOW .FREE "INTERNAL SERVER ERROR" meesage for every one, through imint points, brought to you exclusively by your favourate bank

TYPE imintpoints.com and get many benefits for free. I am not sure about other freebies, but try to redeem points and get "INTERNAL SERVER ERROR" for free with every attempt. I got this card free with icici credit card and I never checked into the benefits of using it, but when I tried to redeeem by credit card points, I came to know that these points are transfrrred to imint card. So I thought I will redeem the points through imint card. Now I came to know that the only thing they offer are I N T E R N A L S E R V E R E R R O R. May be Icici is saying a no to the redemption of points through imint, so icici remain

Swipe imint card at INDIAN but will not get points
Aug 18, 2008 09:37 PM 2419 Views

I had swpied imint card but never got any points.

The Site never works. Try to login with your Id and password the page will not be displayed. I am trying for the last two days. First day they said site is working but it was not working proeprly and downloading. secondday the site was downloading but was not able to login and call centre said their site is ahving some problems need to wait till evening and they would call me by evening. That call never came.

I had travelled thrice in INDIAN in last one month, but I did not get any points. First travel was personal and I had mentioned imint card number while booking itself. Next two times were official and I had swiped Imint card at INDIAN counter while taking boarding pass. No points for all these 3 travel has not been given to me.

Call centre took complaint for the first travel with PNR number and boarding pass. The TAT is 30 WORKING DAYS, in effect more han 45 days.

For next two travel which were official, I had submitted the boarding pass for claiming the reimbursement from the company.

Imint insist that they need to get the boarding pass for these two travel, for whcih I had swiped the imint card while taking boarding pass.!

One Mr.Vineet who claims to be officer taking care of points and one another Mr.Pradeep who claims to be the floor supervisor refused to take even a complaint for the points not given. As per them PNR number given by INDIAN IS NOT VALID. They even reached the judgement that the travel is not valid unless there is a boarding pass submitted. They were not ready to listen to my point of claiming of reimbursement and was not even ready to check with INDIAN. This even after swiping the card at the Indian counter.

Imint claim that INDIAN is their partner but from my experience there is no such arrangements with INDIAN and their card does not mean anything even if it is swiped at INDIAN counters.

Please take care or travelers will be cheated.

Imint worked for me

Every time I shop I use my ICICI Credit Card and I used it many times at Makemytrip and Lifestyle. I got points from all three of them. I have also redeemed over the web site. I got my gift in less than 10 days.  Web site little slow but was fine.

Concept is very good if you know how to take advantage of it. Key is to shop with the ICICI Credit card at places where imint is already there and you will get points from imint merchant and the credit card.  I saw an imint that said if you fly on Indian Airlines and purchase at makemytrip and use icici credit card, one can get points from all three of them. I am a frequent flyer and I plan to try this next time to not only get points from all three of them but also get frequent flyer miles at Indian. That makes it a lot of money back even for Rs. 3000 ticket.  If what I understood is correct, Indian gives 3% and Makemytrip gives anywhere from 1% to 3% and ICICI gives 0.5%.

This could make it as low as 4.5% back or 6% back. In addition Indian gives frequent flyer miles. This is a very potent value back if one can really use. Only catch is that not all ICICI Credit cards are supported by imint today. I am sure over time they may be suppoted. So my suggestion is to read through the fine print and take advantage of it wherever possible.

Gift never reached - Still waiting for it
Aug 03, 2008 09:29 PM 1782 Views

I tried to redeem my imint points on the site for some fuel vouchers on 13-June-08. However, I never have received them till date.

I contacted the pathetic customer care on the phone on 24-June & 26-July-08, who would just say that we will resolve your problem in a week. They would also add that the dept. tried to reach you on the number you gave but was unable to contact you, so please give us an alternate number.

I was never contacted on the alternate number either. Even after sending emails to their MemberCare, they have not cared to reply. You will just get an automated mail which says, your issue will be resolved in 14-days. In this day and age of email and technology, they take 14-days to resolve an issue which should take only 3-4 days to resolve.

Is there any way we can take them to consumer court and charge them for being FRAUDULENT, SCAMMING& CHEATING consumers.

I-mint points
Jul 21, 2008 09:07 PM 1308 Views

It has a pathetic website which normally gives some or the other error. If you one of the lucky ones who can access this website then please don't be excited. Offers\promotions available on this site is very limited. I was offered i-mint by ICICI credit card company and to me it seems I have been cheated by ICICI Credit card by shifting my reward points to i-mint. Hope companies\individual realize this or i-mint realizes and improve their services.

Funny part that I noticed is that they are very promot in sending you emails and offering details by post. But you again stuck up if you want to order anything. Website doesn't work and call centre line is busy or in waiting 99% time.

IMINT T&C- Must Read For All - Points Expiry Info
Jul 12, 2008 07:34 PM 2810 Views

Recently my ICICI Credit reward points got shifted to IMINT Card. While going through the IMINT website in details, I noticed below mentioned terms and conditions of using I-Mint reward points. As many of us dont care to go thru these fine points, hence thought of putting that info. here for benefit of all. Do go thru this:

(a.) i-mint points are valid for a period of three years or any other notified date. points earned during any quarter of the year shall expire (on fifo basis) on completion of 3 years from the end of the quarter. thus points earned during 1st july 2005 to 30th sept 2005 shall get expired on 1st october 2008.

(b.) in the event of the member not using his/her i-mint card to accumulate and/ or redeem

i-mint points for a continuous period of 24 months (2 years), the accumulated i-mint points and the i-mint membership account will expire. all points accumulated on such accounts and lying unused at the time of expiry shall lapse.

Website:https://imintpoints.com/i-mint/imint_tnc.jsp

This specially target those who aim at accumulating reward points over a longer period eyeing for gifts falling at higher points side.

IMINT IS A SCAM LETS TAKE THEM TO THE COURT
Jul 12, 2008 12:58 PM 1361 Views

IMint is a scam I have been suffering with for the last 22 months. The points dont get credit properly, I have never been able to log into my account for the last 22 months not even once, the call centre lines are jammed and when you get to speak to someone  those parrots sitting there repeat the same story that we all are aware of....

The companies part of the Imint programme are also a part of the scam and are hand in glove with Loyalty Solutions and Research Ltd which runs the Imint programme f

or eg: makemytrip does not credit the points according to the purchases made.

Every month I  receive an e-mail from Imint giving me a lumpsum number of points which has remained same for the last few months despite shopping and using my imint card at I mint partner companies..

I'm sure a lot of others are suffering from the same problem.

So can we put an end to this PEST called Imint points by reporting this to the Media and  filing a legal petition against them?

Your kind support will be highly appreciated.

Whatever I do I DONT Mint

Imint, in principle, is an excellent idea, but I somehow an not finding it useful. This post offers an analysis of pros and cons of this reward program.

The core idea behind the scheme is to encourage people to spend more, that too at certain specific merchants/companies with whom iMint has a tie up.  In exchange for your money which is spent at channel partners you will get some points, which when accumulated, can be exchanged for some gifts.

IMint started sometime in early 2007. It was fully free at that time. I applied and got a card delivered promptly within few days. They also tied up with major players like ICICI Bank, Airtel etc and got access to huge customer base these companied had. All customers of ICICI Bank, airtel etc were sent unsolicited imint cards-same individual would have got multiple cards- one from ICICI, one from Airtel, one through direct application etc- NO attempt was made to consolidate and issue a common card.

Imint SUCKS
Jun 23, 2008 12:53 PM 1543 Views

Update - 31-dec-2008

IMINT continues to suck and suck big time. As mentioned below, after calling them every month telling them about the complaint about AIRTEL mobile bill payment points, they are still unable to resolve the issue. As a result, I pay my mobile bill, wait for 10 days and then call them to tell them that they have not credited my points and that they will take 30 days to resolve the issue. This story has been going on for past many months and I see no end to this.

23-jun-2008

More than a year back, when I registered on their website, on the final page, I got "page can not be displayed" error. So I tried again and faced the same issue. Both the times, I had supplied my credit card number for paying INR199 fees for them. But since my registration did not go through, I assumed I will not be charged. To my astonishment, I realized that my credit card was charged not once but twice! When I followed up with their call center, every time they told me that I should send a mail to their customer care ID. I sent the mail at least 10 times and called them up at least 20 times. I was just short of abusing them but somehow I maintained my patience. After repeated calls and reminders for 1 ENTIRE month, they finally sent me my card and reversed the extra debit from my credit card account. I asked them that what about all the points that I missed because of a screwup at their end and they should credit me the relevant points since I had the relevant bills with me, they simply refused.

After that I started using the card for my and my wife's airtel mobile bill and lifestyle shopping. 3 months later when I checked my imint account, I realized that only points for payment of my wife's bills were credited, and on top of that they had missed 1 month! No points for my mobile's bill payments were credited for last 3 months. I had to call them to explain the whole situation but the call center executive was so dumb that I had to open each and every airtel bill and then spell out the dates and amounts to make her realise that there was a screwup from their side. And then I got the response that they will take30 days to fix it! So much for timeliness of response.

Last weekend I visited a shop in Bangalore(Aishwarya shopping point) which is listed on IMINT's website as a vendor where I can earn 4 points for INR100 spent. When I showed Imint card to them, they said wehave stopped supporting imint couple of months back!

Similarly, I had shopped in Lifestyle on 10-apr-08 and when I called them up today to tell them that my points were not credited, I got the response that bills more than 60 days old can not be entertained and I will not get any points for the same. And this is for a vendor who is their preferred partner.

I will absolutely not recommend IMINT to anyone especially when they make you pay for their card. Just stay away from IMINT coz they have worst service standards.

Imintpoint pathetic service
Jun 20, 2008 12:03 AM 9114 Views

Recently I have again visited imintpoint after Jun 2008 last time, to check my imintpoint balance and see if there is improvement in their service. I found that their service has improved a lot since Jun 2008. even I redeems some of my points on imintpoint and got delivered the ordered products without any hassle.

-OLD Review Jun 2008 -

I had received imintpoints Card courtesy ICICI Credit Card and all reward points were transferred to imintpoints account without my permission. I did not compaint to ICICI since Initially since I found this imintpoints card attractive. However real problem started when I tried to redeem those points on imintpoints.com. iminpoints.com always gives "javanull point exception" when you try to redeem your reward points. It's almost two months and still getting same error message. Even after so many email complaints, this problem still exist. I had tried to call their mumbai customer care number but they never ever answered the phone even by mistake. imintpoint.com is from ICICI Venture which is subsidiary of ICICI Bank. Such a pathetic service and product was never expected from from ICICI Bank. I am not sure if they is any way to tranfer reward back to my credit card account. I will never recommened imintpoint to anybody.

Reeeeally Bad Execution
Jun 02, 2008 12:08 PM 1148 Views

I got the I Mint card thru ICICI. I had accumulated a good amount of points on my icici card, but when I logged on to imint to check my points,

a) The webpage always threw errors

b) My points status always reflected null

c) When I checked for a statement, it showed that the page was under construction.

d) When I called up their customer service, they informed me that there is a delay in uploading the points, so it will refplect in a couple of days. But what about the previous months points? They didnt really have a satisfactory answer to that.

e) Once when I called up their cust care, they asked me for my username & Password over the phone!

This not only reflects badly on Imint, but also on ICICI for tieing up with a service provider that is not able to do justice to the conecpt of "REWARD" programs!

Imintpoint to avoid
Apr 15, 2008 11:56 AM 7583 Views

I heard of imint point from websites and newspaper ads and felt that it was a good otion to go for a card which is for lifetime and just Rs.199/- I logged on to the website https://imintpoints.com on January 26th 2008 and registered for the card and made the payment. after a week I called the customer service to check the status and was told that it woud take 21 working days for the card to reach me. So I waited and on the 25th day I still had not received the card & decided to call them again.

To my surprise they said that the card was dispatched but the courier company was not able to locate my house. I asked them as to why the courier company not imint decide to call me and inform me about this for which they had no answer. So if I hadn't called them I would never have known nor would they have bothered calling me cos they got the money they needed. I spoke to a super visor by the name of Jayant who promised that he will make sure that the card will be delivered to me in 15 days. I am yet to receive it. When I call back and ask for Jayant I am always told that he is on a call and will call back which wasn't happening.May times when I call their customer support number I am on hold for 8-9 mins and then I am disconnected without even speaking to anyone. So I one called and decided to be on hold till Jayant talks to me and I ended up holding for 25 minutes. Later when he came on the phone, he spoke as if he had forgotten about my case. He again promisedme that he will send the card. after 2months of promises I wasn't going to take that and asked for his manager. His Team lead Rakesh Srivastav told me that he will send me that card ASAP or call me back to give me an update which has not happened yet. They are not willing to return my money nor give the service. My honest advice. Avoid imint. Its a waste of time, money and peace of mind. Today is the 15th of April, 2008 and I am yet to hear from them.

Imint Card - Earn Points on whatever you do!
Jan 20, 2008 12:26 AM 7418 Views

I received the free membership imint card when I purchased a mobile in Sep 2007. The card looks attractive and it is a unique rewards program that lets you earn points for the things you purchased.

Here is my short review on imint offers and their service & support.

When ever you purchase through any mode of payment(like cash, cheque, credit/debit card), you need to get your imint card swiped for the amount you purchased. You will be getting points for it. The imint card is very much useful for the people who use Indian Airlines or Maketrip often.

From the points earned, you can redeem to get cool gifts like electronic items to house hold items.

Imint has tied up with Airtel, HPCL Pumps, Indian Airlines, Lifestyle, Maketrip and ICICI Debit cards. They have also tied with the new online portal Buzzintown recently.

Other than that, they have tied with various top merchants like Trust Chemists and Druggists, Maxtel, Sangeetha Mobiles, GK Vale, etc.

What lacks with this program:

  1. Imint haven't installed swipe machines at most of their big merchants like GK Vale, Maxtel. Ultimately customer losses points for those purchased products.

I have purchased 4 mobiles from Maxtel(worth approx Rs.47000/-, 2 points per Rs.100/-) and haven't received a single point though my imint card number is printed on the Maxtel invoice.

  1. Imint doesn't bother to reply to any of the emails sent to their membercare.

  2. The points from HPCL and ICICI Bank are very low. Also HPCL limits to just 50 points per month.

  3. The imint website will be under maintainence most of the time.

I have done a lot of business in G.K.Vale and Maxtel and have lost more than 950 points and have earned approx 800 points from other transactions in 4 Months.

They should work on these issues and resolve is asap. They  should concentrate in giving good service to their members. Till then its quite difficult to capitalize on the market.

Imint points; MakeMyTrip
Nov 19, 2007 11:16 AM 6147 Views

I was given an offer for imint membership free of cost somewhere in January 2007. I submitted my application very promptle and after that I started buying airtickets through MakeMyTrip. I was expecting that my imint card would be sent to me within 6 - 8 weeks. But I had to make atleast 5 calls to imint. it is worth to mention that I live in Delhi. On all occasions, it took lot of time in communicating and in making the person on phone to understand the problem. very late I could receive the card. All emails I sent remain unanswered or even unacknowledged.

After receiving the card, I requested to kindly award the reward points on the purchases, I made after receiving the card number. Ya, I still remember the effort that I had to make for getting those points. The Imint website remained under construction for the area where members could log in.

I still book my airtickets through MakeMyTrip and give my imint card number and other details at the time of purchase. The imint points are still not rewarded and in vein. I have made three telphone calls in this month only (either to imint or to MakemyTrip). E-mails are just acknowlwdged and no action is being taken.

If one has to make so much of effort, then perhaps it is better to forget about imnit reward points!!!

I hope after seeing this review; some corrective measures might be taken up by the imint services.

Takes lot of effort to get the acquired points. Still nearly 1000 points are in lurch. I do not know how to get satisfied with Imint/makeMytrip services.

Whatever you do, let's mint together
Oct 31, 2007 04:33 PM 9507 Views

I received the imint card with a free membership - courtesy a certain bank. Ok, I’ll clarify. One of the members of the bank was pleased when I pointed out that I had written reviews on the bank and they seem to have read it. And so, I receive another card from them!?!

Again, I must clarify – I am not fond of plastic since I am bankrupt most days. However, there appears to be a slight difference with this card. Let’s review what imint offers and specifically how it can improve.

Imint is a membership card with a points collection system based on your purchases. However, the payment option is not limited to your credit or debit card(where the points accumulate) but also through other forms – cash, cheque, DD…

Earlier, I used to get a discount on cash purchases. But there was no way of accumulating points for rewards. But now I do. I specifically recommend this card for frequent air travelers. It certainly is a boon for users who pay cash. I would recommend imint for those -

who get the membership free

are frequent flyers  through Indian Airlines or use Maketrip often

transact mostly through cash.

What do you do with the points?

Unlike MS points where the points have no intrinsic value, you get to exchange the points for gifts right from an ipod, golf set, clothing, beauty accessories, vouchers, pen drives, refridgerators, TVs(including 29 inches), digital camera, mobile phone camcorder, an LCD tv too! If you have any other card which provides as much variety of gifts by the points collection, then go for it.

You accumulate the maximum number of points when you book air tickets- Indian Airlines to be specific . You earn 6 points on every 100 Rs spent at the travel outlets.(Of course you need to check if they have imint through a travel agent) And if you like makemytrip.com you receive upto 18 points for every 100 Rs on international packages.

That means a minimum spend of 5000 on domestic tickets and you receive an amazing 300 points. Now which card offers you that many points? Some of the jewellery stuff, household items, kid stuff, books and automotive rewards programs appear attractive. For complete info on rewards, check out rewards at imintpoints.com. However, if you don’t wish for any, you can opt for any of the gift vouchers for clothing, eateries or any purchase on electronic stores. Good deal if you ensure that all your purchases are cash.

One sore point of this program is the lack of a good network associated with imint. While it is free to you, it appears imint charges the dealer a percentage. And while they seem to be building their network, I scarcely see any with the imints logo.(Much like the sodexho, I need to check out which have that symbol before going in) While you can check the points collected online, it is a little cumbersome to obtain one if you don’t have a free card. You pay 199(the cheapest offer so far) for the membership and you are done. I do have a card, but a closer look at the validity makes me suspicious. I think the charges are 199 annually while the charges were waived off initially. I am keeping a close watch on the rules of the program. I already have a bad experience with the card. I mean the petrol bunk just refused to swipe imint. They hadn’t even heard about it before!

Since its early days yet, I won’t put the product down.(I will leave it to the future reviewers for this category) Let’s hope they improve the dealer network.

Currently, imint has a tie up with Airtel, HP pumps, ICICI bank, Indian Airlines, Lifestyle, Makemytrip and also a few select retail/clothing stores. So if your life revolves around the above which accept imint, you are on your way to some free add ons. Also, some of their dealers like makemy trip are not exactly good in the reputation market, but I believe with the recent changes, there is some pretty good service in the offing. Of course, you need to continually check that the points have been updated at the imints site., ie., after registering yourself with the card(once you receive it). Its success definitely depends on a wider acceptability of the card plus more offers for the cash segment.

There is no other offering a rewards program for the cash segment and imint should be able to capture this provided they capitalize on the early bird and the worm theory. Only wish it were possible for the street cart vendors and the pani puri guys too…

Good Products available for Redemption

Since this is the forum where people are sharing their experience with i-mint I would also like to add my experience with them. First of all I really appreciate this multi loyalty program. It’s really unique and first ever program in India.i-mint give good offers through out the year.

They also have good products for redemption. There customer service needs to be much better. Recently I redeemed my i-mint points for 8 piece beverage set. It Contains - 1 water jug; 1 serving tray; 6 tumblers. this beautiful beverage set has a contemporary styling & is made of superior stainless steel. It has a Matt finish too. I received this product after 15 days.

For this I have to follow up three times with there customer service. Normally it should be delivered within 8 days but it took 15 days.Hey but when I received this product I really forgot the time lapse in delivering the products from i-mint. My request is that they should have a system where a customer should checked online on the status on their products.

It seems i-mint is really doing addressing the customer’s complaints. In the month of December I have send an email to them asking for my login password and also not being able to access their website.

I got a revert from them to update my profile in order to avail new password. I went through the whole process and finally I got the password. The customer care executive was very co-operative.They have also worked on there website it seems.

Earlier I use to face lot of problem when I use to do redemption or purchase anything on their website. Now once can easily complete the transaction and the webpage get download little faster. Currently they are running lots of offers for i-mint customers on there website.

The offer seems to be okay since they are from good brands like Gitanjali, Just in vogue, gk vale and bookmyshow. Beside this they are giving bonus points on registration at buzzintown.com. Keep up the good work guys.

I am a regular user of i-mint card. I got this card since I am an ICICI Bank Credit Card Holder. I am happy with this card because whatever points were there in my credit card were doubled in i-mint points. Secondly imint has lots of products from various categories for redemption.

Normally when I do any transaction…like when I book tickets at Makemytrip.com I use my credit card for transaction. In this case I get points from two partners of i-mint i.e. Makemytrip & ICICI Bank Credit Card. Not on only this but, I insure my all personal trip I plan with Air-india only.

Also whenever I purchase cakes or cookies from Monginis, I use my ICICI Bank credit card. Here also I get the points from both of them since Monginis is also there merchant. It’s a good concept and one can quickly earn lots of points for every transaction.

In the time of recession if someone is still giving some value for your money its worth it. I think this concept is here to stay and to add it up lots of company are nowdays running there one loyalty programme but they don’t have the market spread as i-mint has. To summaries This has given me an opportunity to earn point on my Organic Spends!!!!
