Connectivity and App support is huge letdown. Only buy if you want a flat back TV.

Design - 4/5

The TV just looks stunning as it comes with zero gaps(not actually zero) wall mount. The stands provided with the TV aren’t aesthetically appealing.

The TV comes with a significantly big OneConnect box. The box has it’s own pros and cons. The best part is you don’t see a lot of thick black cables going to TV. It’s just a thin and clear fibre optic cable which is solely responsible for power and other sources. The bad part is that if you don’t have a place to hide that box then you will see a lot of cables and clutters.

Setup & Installation – 3/5

The mounting and dismounting of TV are challenging jobs which require 2 strong people and a lot of care.

Setting up TV is an easy job if you have a smartphone connected to a WiFi network. If not, then it’s a lengthy and tiring process to set up the TV. If you fail to accept anyone of the T&C during installation, you may see some of the menu items disabled.

Display - 4/5

Switch on the TV and you are welcomed with mega bright Samsung trademark display. The QLED is a tad brighter than conventional LEDs and league ahead of LCDs. The blacks are good too.

Viewing angle isn’t disappointing but isn’t good as LG’s IPS display.

Sound - 3/5

I had LG32F880 series LCD and it had amazing SQ. The Frame TV is loud has good sound and voice is clearly audible but listening music videos is disappointing experience.

Connectivity - 2/5

The TV comes with OneConnect box which contains 4 HDMIs(1 ARC) and 3 USB, there is SPDIf port too.

Wireless display is good but sometimes it lags. You can mirror your phone and laptop. Cast your YouTube videos to TV directly. I still found my firestick screen mirroring better than this.

Bluetooth connectivity – This doesn’t work for me. It takes quite long to search Bluetooth device and when it connects, there is lot of audio breakdowns. Flipkart replaced my TV but again it has the same problem.

Remote Control - 3/5

It’s a beautiful white Bluetooth remote. For general operations it’s okay, but if you want to set up something its painful. Reaching anywhere minimum takes 4-5 clicks.

Apparently, it throws tantrum sometimes too.

If you have seen LG Air Remote, you will hate this remote for sure.

You can also use your smartphone as a remote control.

App Support – 1/5

With limited memory and RAM, you have to live with some preinstalled apps like Prime, Netflix, Youtube etc. I do use Firestick, thus I don’t have to rely much on TVs capabilities.

Art Mode – 5/5

I like this and it looks superb. The only downside is that even in stand-by it consumes 50W of electricity.

Samsung cheated me with a faulty product. I paid Rs. 750000 to Samsung for TV. Now they are asking again to aishwaryasingh23 Rs. 35000 to repair. Why should I. # Samsung @ cheat

THE CASE

I have purchased Samsung TV October 2015 from Flipkart. Our family after exhaustive discussion zeroed in on your brand Samsung. Samsung was surely out of our budget but still we wanted to go with the worlds best. This was going to be the most expensive purchase ever made by our family( Last being the Scooter @ 45000). We finally purchased the LED TV for whopping Rs.72000. Last few years of FD was broken to accumulate the money. But we surely expected with huge money and backed by Brand Samsung our TV would-be long-time member of our family. But to our shock just after 2.5 years the TV screen has few smudges, grey patches at various places.

I would like to ask, Does Samsung make TV of Rs 72000 cost and is not having a life beyond 2.5 years.

There is no usage/product abuse from my side. This has been confirmed by your service technician.

I am OK, if you want to do repair and correct the problem. I will also aishwaryasingh23 for the same.

If the panel has to be changed, the sold product was faulty/wrongly manufactured, and Samsung should accept and do the needful.

Request you to please get my issue resolved at the earliest.

Hi all, here I am sharing with you my personal experiance of our SAMSUNG 4k UHD TV. When we construct a new home, my father bought a new samsung tv from NESTO HYPERMARKET, AJMAN, UAE. Its only 2 years now that we are using it . We only swith on the tv for maximum 1 hour per day . Eventhough now its sound effecf is too low. We cant hear any thing clearly . I bought this tv becouse I heard from many people that samsung is a good brand, but I was wrong, this tv is waste becouse of its video quality, video quality is bad, if u r writting hd, what its means, high defination, but nor such think is in this tv, after that comes to sound, to low volume, does feel the sound, u cannot hear music in this televison, sound guality is bad, sound effect is also not works properly, means u hear the same sound if u r changing sound effect, I have 3 tv in my home and this one is wrost, I complain to the service centre about the problem but they are also not taking priority, . So but not to good product.

I have taken this by installment but tv is working fine and all the features and specifications are awesome its nice look all the portable and connections options are good. After buying 3 months inside board was short circuited in company they are telling its problem occurs due to inside lizard was gone and burnt and short circuited we are not responsible u need to repair cost 3000 again paying by my hand

Well, I bought a Samsung Frame TV 55" and guess what it doesn't turn off. After repeated visits of the "engineer", they finally acknowledged that the product is defective. It was replaced but to my disappointment, the second unit also had the same issue. I mentioned and noted the same in the installation logs. I called the customer care folks and I was told that they will process the refund in 15 days. After 15 days, I called them again and to my surprise they said there has been a mistake and they can't process the refund unless a "engineer" checks the TV again. I reluctantly agreed and a "engineer" checked my TV. After spending an hour troubleshooting it, the final solution was to buy a stopwatch and press the power button for exactly 3 seconds to switch it off. Any more than that, the TV will restart and anything less than that will change the TV mode. Finally, the next evening a "senior exec" called me, I explained the whole thing to him and said that TV is not working as per your manual and specification. He assured me quick resolution but that was that and I haven't heard back from them since then. Well, there is an option to write to CEO's desk. I did that, got an response saying that they will resolve this within 1 day. I have sent 3 follow-up emails since then but no response. I called customer care a few times, the only response they have is "senior team will call you back". I haven't received any call from them and just for the curious folks, there is no way to reach the senior folks directly.

So, my advice is to stay away from Samsung Product/Services.
