My name is amar and toady I am writting about winamp music player.it is very old and famous music player.i am use this music player since a long time.it is both video amd mp3 player but my favroite is mp3.

Function:

All function are very usefull.like equalizer, media library, web browser, visulization, and you change the skin of music player.repeat.

Music equalizer is rock, soft, bass, classic etc.

Next, previous, pause, time elapsed etc.

Ease of use:

It is very easy music player.you manage the music equalizer good bass and traveling the music.

Ease of install:

Its install step is very easy.it auto ask next or back.just you click on next next.and finally step is choose the skin and finish.it read for play music

Hello friends, my name is abhishek Sharma. I m writing about my review Winamp music player. My experience this is the good music player.  I downloaded this and install this my computer.  Good work this. Last 5 years I use this music player. This is both of mp3 and video player but best the mp3 play the music. All functions are very interesting like equalizer, media library, visualization, Web browser, skin settings. With the help of  Skin settings you change the nice skins of music player. Recently I listening the song on Winamp aj bravo song - champion.

Help functionality:

All functions are very good. Like skins, visualization, equalizer, repeat.

Skins: with the help of skin you can change the  any skin.

Visualization: with the help of visualization you play song visualization this very interested.

Equalizer: with the help of equalizer you load the music like rock, soft rock, bass, classic etc.

Repeat: with the help of you one song or all Playlist to repeat listen the song.

Easy to use:

The Winamp music player you used very easily. This is the very easy to use and good bass and traveling the music.

Features:

All features are very good and useful. Like next, previous, pause, repeat, equalizer, visualization, skins, time elapsed, Playlist. Etc.

Everyone who were born in 90's are well known to this multimedia player. It was the only media player I came across except windows media player when I was kid.

It has lots of features and memorable moments attached to us.

1) it provides high quality compressed music.

2) I think every music lover has ever used this and still they have a copy of this.

3) at that time when computers are very expensive, it was free.

4) it supports a lot of audio and video formats.

5) the streaming quality of this media player is fast and impressive.

6) it was well balanced and controlled media library.

How many music players are there for Windows platform? Countless I think. We dont even know the names of many of them. But when it comes to pure music experience, I think Winamp is the best. Whoever using PC, know about this software. It is in the market for many years and still now growing. Here are a few reasons why I love this software -

1) Its installation is easy. Over the years its size has grown, but not that much.

2) U can select the skin type u want to use in the time of installation.

3) The Winamp Modern skin is fantastic. It looks very nice and does not consume much screen space.

4) The modern skin looks really modern. U can select among several nice color schemes.

5) There is a Drawer system for Playlist, Equalizer etc. U can hide them if u dont want to use them.

6) Winamp can play variety number of sound files like MP3, WAV etc.

7) File association is easy. For the first time just select a song, right click on it and select Winamp as the default player and u r done.

8) It has a Visualisation window too which also can be hidden.

9) The equalizer works straight forward and it has pretty strong effect. Bass and treble change significantly but never looses balance. All u need is a good speaker(preferably a 5.1 speaker better surrounding experience).

10) U can change the Opacity and Scaling of Winamp. Just right click on its body and u can find numerous options to change many things.

11) U can select any Folder or Sound File and add it to the playlist. It is that simple.

12) The conventional Repeat and Shuffle buttons are there too in the upper player window and they are easily accessible.

13) Under the tiny 'Config' button there are 3 tabs.Equalizer, Option and Color Schemes. So most of the major settings are just a click away.

The only downside of Winamp according to me is its video playing capability. It does play videos but functionality is bad. U should obviously use other stand alone video players like VLC, KM Player, WMP etc.

I love Winamp. I think many of you too. It is our cute companion for so many days. This is a must have for music lovers who listen mostly on desktops. Period.

Winamp is the Music player of computer. I used the first launch software of winamp, and look better than other. Now it's update and most powerful software for palying music file. It's the best software forever. The instalation process is very easy,

The only thing you need to do is click on the ’Accept’ and the ’Next’ buttons respectively. Later you need to select the files you wish to play on your very own Winamp! As all the previous winamps and other audio[only] playing devices. Winamp has an equaliser which has a total of around 12 presets and 2 manual setups. It has a two way key for adjusting the balance to either of your speakers. Winamp has a playlist option which can handle any number of songs at any time.

Let me just adjust the bass a bit. Alright, this song is the perfect way for me to get into the mood to write. Write something about this player. A player that swing and sooth our mind and hey, got perplexed? I’m taking time to scribble down about Winamp and why do I prefer it.

They keep everything simple. This review will be short and straight to the point. And I hope you will gain all the information about a player which requires doing its needs. They call themselves as Nullsoft. Justin Frankel had a dream and I say this product reached more than his vision. He coded this software for ease of use and to serve its purpose. It does and I respect the idea behind it. There are times I was finding difficulty in choosing a good player and thought Real Player will serve my purpose. I have one installed in my system. And I think comparing Real Player with Winamp is insane.

Why do you have to choose Winamp over other players?

Well, this could be an interesting debate over other players. Of course, like me there are many who stick on with their likes and I have no intention to brain wash you for that matter. But there are many who use an old system which is slow and need to run smoother and by loading music in them, might as well hang the system. So my observation for a good player came to the picture once I discovered this software called Winamp. Mainly due to its performance and the options that I find useful which are shuffling songs, enqueue songs, save a play list and of course saving a play list of our own choice. How many of you go in depth of the quality of a player when you listen to a song? I do and with its MP3 surround support one need not worry about how far this small software is going to take you from bits and bytes of frequencies. The most important thing about this player is it takes just a minute to get installed. I was wondering why one has to wait for so longer to listen to a song if the purpose is just to enjoy the music. But there are times I use Real Player when I download songs from Youtube and playing songs from Raaga.

So will it support all the file types?

I guess so and if I say WMA to WAV then it has to support almost all of them. If I include all the file types here then I am not being loyal to my readers since the information is clearly available in their website and I shall stick on to why one need to choose this player.

Well, do you prefer to listen to those old melodies that may not even available in the music stores? Try this feature. And it takes you to different stations where you can choose according to your taste and just a click away, you been taken to sweet sixties. Sweet sixties where those lyrics had life and those speak straight from their hearts.

Skins, do we need them?

Initially I used to download them from their website where in you have an option to create your own skins and upload however; I find this option not of use. I guess they make your player slow. And at times those bugs which you may find difficulty in opening the player over and again when those error reports pop up. So kindly avoid them.

New Features that you may find useful and they are:

Flash video support and I suggest you this feature since the quality and pixel rate is higher than our expectation. Winamp toolbar which will help one to control from your browser. Different language packs. Like Chinese, Japanese or Korean for that matter and it’s applicable only for those who reside in these countries and the rest may follow English. Visualizer and its art of colors. Well, I exaggerated the same quite a bit but then I love this feature. You need not worry about installing Nero Express in your system to Burn a CD. Winamp helps you to burn the CD.

Winamp 5.5

It looks classy and it does tempt anybody to try for its features. With its free themes which would help one to change as per his/her mood swings, this is their latest version. You get every option in this version. When I say everything, it includes ripping a CD to managing your portable media players be it ipod to usb thumb drives.But this is not applicable to those who are like me who use an old system. It accommodates space which may lead to slower performance.

Winamp 5.2

The one which I use and installed this back after experiencing the latest features which came in Winamp 5.5 however like I have mentioned about the performance I chose to keep it simple. It does serve my purpose. I have an equalizer that adjusts the music and a play list where I can create my music list. It doesn’t fade from one song to the next one but I am satisfied with its performance. It doesn’t take much time to load. We need not worry about the time it takes to install. All in one and I say Winamp. I have close to 5000 songs in my system and if a player can load all the songs without taking much of its time.

So, I would suggest Winamp and let me search for another song in its play list that would take me back to the oldies where our folks used to live in bliss.

Switching ON: Winamp does not take much time to configure itself, Still for the first time, It opens with a number of useless plug-ins, which only slow down grapics memory and screen resolution.

After uploading the desired tracks, The winamp becomes ready to be used, exploited and most of all enjoyed.

Overall^. You can easiely depend upon this software to listen to your fav tracks, You wont regret after having it on your PC. In a word **"VERY GOOD"

Well, I lost track of winamp after something like v2.75. The reason was that after that came winamp 3.00 and it sucked! It just didn?t gimme the winamp feel and look that I liked. So while my friends kept upgrading, I stuck to the old version... even installing it on my new laptop!

Then along came winamp 5.xx

I bumped into it in my friend's room - he'd skinned it etc etc and I felt my fingers and eardrums itching to get it. I resisted the temptation.. till one day I surfed into the winamp website and hit the download button.

I was hooked.

I first checked to make sure that the original look and feel could be accessed - yes! You can choose between the classic and a 'modern' feel. So now I felt at home.

Then started my experimenting.

So here's my review.

1. Downloading and Installing

I used a dialup and had no probs downloading. Installing was a breeze and didn't gimme errors (I use Windows XP home edition). There are some comps which apparently hang or mini-crash - but no probs for me!

2. Configuring and setting it up

No probs - very simple as usual - jus' like winamp!

3. Starting up

One thing I noticed was that winamp 5.xx takes more time to load than 2.xx Maybe it's a little heavier on resources - but nothing to crib about. It's probably because I've loaded some skins and stuff. The bare winamp 5.xx probably takes very little time.... ask somebody else!

4. Da Music!!

The main thing. As usual loading a playlist, directory, file etc etc is a breeze. I couldn't find a search function which would automatically scour my hard disk, but I probably didn't look too hard as all my MP3s are in one directory.

The music quality is standard winamp stuff and very good and very configurable. The equalizer, etc are good The only problem is a couple of seconds delay before the equalizer actually changed the sound quality. It bugs me occasionally, but I guess I'm used to it by now!

I like some functions like the cross-fade etc which make song transition smooth.

The CDDB function is useful too to get CD info. Sometimes it keeps popping up unnecessarily, but you can change the configs for that.

5. Da skinz!

Exciting. While I love the winamp classic look, I was bowled over by some of the modern skinz available. Man - they rocked. Some new stuff like the stick mode and mini mode put winamp on a corner yet fully accessible. You can check it out!

And by keeping it semi-transparent and always on top, I don't need to switch windows to access it.

In particular I'd recommend the MMD3 skin. It is amazing in the mini mode and has so many color themes!! Amazed and absolutely in love with it.

6. Da plugins

I'll leave this one - I didn't try any and can't review any! I tried a few visuals and they seemed OK. There are plugins for sound, recording, converting etc etc at the main site - check 'em out!

7. Does it crash/hang

So far it hasn't crashed or hung.. I even tried it on while playing some heavy games and it didn't do any harm!

8. On the downside -

I've already mentioned the startup time

If you use a lot of skin options and anims it does take some system resources and a slower comp will whirr and scream...

The CDDB option popping up sometimes nags you

I wish the equalizer changes were real-time and without delay.

My verdict?

Try this - you'll love the old winamp options and the new winamp look. I stopped using v2.xx after this.
