I have a free ware download of limewire , No doubt it is one of the best download tools, the graphics is nice. functionality is nice. On the down side torrent downloads is not fast. Please don't mistake this to be a Bond movie review. I would like to share with you my experience of using LimeWire. I am a fan of Hollywood movies. Having taken an Internet connection, I wanted to download these off the Internet and watch them on my TV. But how to do it? Upon enquiring and reading reviews I learnt that Limewire is the best peer to peer connecting software for downloading movies and other apps. So I decided to install it by downloading the .exe file available on the LimeWire website.

Installation: Installation was a breeze.I visited the LimeWire URL and downloaded the exe file - was not too huge I must say(I think the download took only 10 or 20 min). When the download was over I started its Installation.  The installation went fine.it automatically downloaded Java from its Website and installed the Software. I must mention that the logo of the Software is beautiful and sparkling(a cut lime's picture). I ran the Software and it worked fine - I downloaded some movies such as Lord Of The Rings 1 2 and 3, STAR WARS etc and enjoyed them all. But . not everything is perfect!

Hassles: I wanted to download "Dark Knight" movie. Upon searching, I got multiple files with same name. Assuming one file to be genuine looking at its size, I patiently downloaded it in 8 hours. After the download was over, I started to play a file. What I saw shocked me - it was a long porn video! Thank God I didn't play it in front of my parents.

Spyware:Well, here comes the main bug of this Software. Whenever I used to open this Software I cud always see some data getting uploaded - it would always say "Up Speed 3 kBps". Upon suspicion that only my movie files are getting uploaded, I stopped sharing the downloaded movie files. Still the same thing happened. So I burnt all files onto a DVD and checked again - yet this problem existed. Upon talking to my friends, I learnt that Lime Wire's a spyware and it can potentially reveal our sensitive data stored on Hard Disk like our Browsing habits, Bank Account Details, files stored etc. to others by transmitting data via Internet. .  And yes, there was another problem too: Before installing Lime Wire on my Hard Disk's C:\ its remaining space was 10 GB out of 20 GB. But after installing it, my PC became v v slow and guess what, the space remaining was only 1 GB(with all downloaded movie files deleted!). I learnt that this is another common problem of the LimeWire Software and this cud cause serious damage to the Hard Disk! Limewire is not just performs as a Peer to Peer sharing Software but also as a James Bond spying the insides of our PCs(One apt name i'd give it is: SPY WHO LOVED MY PC!).

Punchline:  Wanna protect your PC and sensitive data? Stay away from LIMEWIRE.

Lime wire was given to me by a friend and I have been using it ever since. I have downloaded at least 4000 songs and I find it amamzing.But my problem is I could never find a good movie . all my friends download movies from lw though I cant . wonder why!!!

I read several reviews on other p2ps like kazaa and all msians who have used it have been victimised by virus and spywares on their computers.I have used Lime Wire for more than six months now and my pc has not yet been invaded by godly viruses and warrior like spywares which plunder the PCs of millions.People do say that kazaa and few others download anything at a faster rate,but there is no use of downloading your favourite clip and then format your pc losing everything which you had before.

Many say that phalana software has more varieties of mp3 or videos or whatever your holy mind may be looking for but let me tell you I believe that Limewire is no less than any other.For those who download matches of WWE or even pay per view allow me to tell you friends LIMe Wire had 2006 Judgement Day even before it came on ten sports its really amazing!

PRECAUTIONS:

Although its unlike any other p2p software but still there may be certain files which may contain virus or spyware but I assure it has the minimum most chances if you have any good anti spy or anti virus .But about 90% files are virus free and come on friends there are billions of stuff in LIme Wire and a few can always be corrupted.So its best to have a good anti virus before downloading any software not only Lime Wire .But your Pc will never be affected and atleast will not become slow , forget formatting it will never be required.

Well Lime Wire itself is not at all a problem giving p2p but you may mis judge its quality if downloaded from a wrong site.Well my advice is that download it form http://www.download.com. > It will surely come virus free and not like a doctor suffering from chicken pox treating a normal person with mild cold.I mean almost every household pc has lil probs here & there but chalta hai..but if like a bright Alec you download Lime Wire from an unreliable site your pc with lil probs like slow operation or response will crash and might not even start and time will come when you will have to call your engineer or format it yourself ..the smart ones who do it themselves.

Downloading Speed:Ohh plzz remember that this depends totally on the type of internet connection you have..and as far as Lime Wire's speed is concerned its fine and smooth ..a file or too may be slow due to busy hosts but you will eventually get what you need and free of infection.

Search:It has options of Images,videos,audio,documents.programs & all types.You can search what you want by clicking on what type of file you want and then enter the name.

Advantages are clear:You can harbour any downloaded stuff on your pc and need not fear that your pc will get virul fever or something .You get anything possible on Earth I am talking about music,videos,games,wallpapers , programs and many different softwares.Friends I would say that this is the best and the safest p2p you can get and you will be satisfied.

Anything..means anything: Dont be shocked if you type Britney Spears and select video ..you will have varieties of her music videos accompanied by something like "Britney Spears porn" or you type Shahrukh some video..you will get various videos of King Khan but also other options like Bollywood porn etc might come up.So you can download whatever you want but dont let your parents know about it .ssssssssssshhhhhhhhh kisi ko mat bolna ke maine bataya.

This is one of the best p2p softwares I have ever seen and used. The one noticeable feature is its multiple search tab option. U dont need to wait for one search to finish to start your next one.

The new version (as of today) is the version 4.9. It can be downloaded from https://limewire.com. Installation is a breeze. Make sure to modify the settings before u start using limewire. By this I mean, the folder where u want the downloaded fiels to go too, and to specify which folder u wud like to share. Remember, this is a p2p (peer to peer) and it pays to share ur files as well. U also can set the number of maximum downloads u want to have and the uploads u allow and such. in view of ''economising'' ur bandwidth.

Limewire pro is noticeably faster than limewire, which is comparable to Ares, another p2p program. Limewire uses the Gnutella network and Ares uses the ares network.

U can filter ur search options very well based on the file u want, be it an image or video or even an application. One thing to remember for all p2p users. A file may be 'masked', meaning it may be one file but it will be named otherwise. The chances of u coming across such a file can be meagre though. Limewire also offers u the ability to directly connect to a computer if u know the IP address. For example, if u have a friend whose computer u wud like to connect to using limewire, he or she will simply have to give u his/her computer IP available from https://whatismyip.com. Once u have it just enter it in the direct connect option and give connect, and u r connected. If u feel lazy or dont know what to download, click on the whats new option at the bottom of the search field criteria and u will get a list of the top files that are being shared by users of the gnutella network.

I know this is a review of limewire, but I wud like to suggest another program, KCeasy as no one has requested its review. It was me who recommended you this and what have you done. You have used the software to its limits. Now you would be knowing there is no limit in this software you can download almost anything which you want , what you want and when you want. This software helps me to see what ever I would like to see like all the MMS things, like Janet Jacksons live show....etc........... One thing for sure everyone would like this and every one would love to have this software.

This software allows you to download music as well as dvds. One should have right words and should put in right words to search so that the software can easily search on the net.

I have downloaded around 100 music and 50 moives from this site and even burnt the cd's.

I wish all the Audio CD's have my favorite songs in them and I will never have to use the FWD button of my Sony Hi Fi Music system, I can just chill out in my drawing room sofa, watching my wife cooking something lovely in Kitchen.

I love to put in 3 CD's in my music systems and let them play in Shuffle mode so as I will never be able to guess which song is gonna come next :)

But most of the times the Albums / CD's we purchase do have our Favorite songs but none of them is always 100% Favorite, there are plenty of songs you would never like to listen to but what to do, we just can't delete them from a CD or you just can't Overwrite something on them.

Yeah yeah............. there is a One good option - to burn your own MP3 CD and have all the songs you ever wanted in it.

Installing the software on your machine will take hardly 10 minutes depending on the Internet Bandwidth you are getting.

The usual setting for this would be very simple a little Net savvy person can easily configure it without any problems.

Utility :You can download the MP3, MP4, MPEG, JPEG, Videos, Images, Documents and programs too.

Simple - If you are looking for a song, just type in the title of the song and mention at least albums name or artists name to be specific - so that it gives you the exact song, double click the song name and it will come on the download section and you can see the progress too - how much is downloaded at what speed, remaining download time etc.

Where to save the files / songs - You can simply go to the Tools and Options and choose the folder where you want to save the things.

It will automatically save all the files in this folder and from there you can take it to the location of your choice or simply burn the folder on a CD.

Till date I have downloaded almost 300+ Songs (English, Hindi and Tamil too).

Negatives :It searches for Videos Too and that is Dangerous, since all kinds of Adult videos available on the net are also searchable, Literally you can find anything and I mean anything........... But take care if you have any kids at home who are too net savvy than this is something which should not be downloaded. As to tell you the truth the moment I came to know that it could download videos too... I did download some of the videos..... Names I wouldn't like to disclose in here, lets talk on M2m :)
