My friend bought Bitdefender Antivirus for me and when I started install it took too long to install I between 2 times denied to getting install I dont know the reason, even though my lappy having i7 processor but still denied.

Any how it got install but took almost took an hour to scan full system.

I really did not find any special feature that keep my system safe unlike quickheal. It's not trust worthy at all.

Wastage of money better to buy quickheel. I called up to service centre to ask them for special seeting that helps me to speedup my system after installtion she denied for such seeting and point out towards my system processor but when she got to know about my lappy configartion then she had no words to conclude the topic they are only there to attend and noting complaints, never try to resolve.

Bitdefender antivirus plus, friends never buy this antivirus plus , because this antivirus not working well in your conputer and laptop.

this antivirus installing very difficulte or using very hard, many features not working well and many featyres out of understand.

this anitvirus not safe your personal details in computer, this anitivirus privacy is not strong friends.

easy to unlock this antivirus secuarity, but compaire with quick heal antivirus, quick heal antivirus is awesome friends for using.

I purchased Bitdefender Plus Antivirus, this is not supported  to Windows XP. So  used old software with new key.

If you istalled in your computer or laptop, can face many problems with any other software which is installed in your computer. Software can disabled, or any file missing because bitdefender delete the files as virus or trojan, and many times you can not install any software, because Bitdefender understand this is untrusted or virus.

Features and fuctions are useless. I can face problems in installation.

Never purchase Bitdefender, I have deleted this Antivirus from computer.

Last month I purchased 1 year official license of Bitdefender Antivirus plus through one of the retail shops. The program was successfully registered and installed. On scanning the machine most of the virus detected by the Bitdefender were false positives.

Above all, the program deletes the file without giving user the opportunity to decide whether to exclude the detected file. On mailing the support team about the issue, it took them 7 days just to respond to the issue. It took them another 7 days just to confirm that in case the detected file was proved to be clean, they would add to the exclusions. This was the first issue faced.

Second issue: After successfully installing and using the registered product for 20 odd days, suddenly on one fine morning the software stopped protecting my PC stating that the license key in use was invalid. On contacting their support team, I was told that I will have to get in touch with their vendor partner Venktron as the license in use was purchased through the Vendor.

I am surprised that the company which boasts itself to be #1 in antivirus solutions cannot look into the issue on their own. The mail sent to Venktron (as per email id provided by Bitdefender) has remained unanswered even after 5 days.

Finally I decided to speak to the vendor support team on the number provided by BD. I was told to mail the screenshot of the license key on some separate email id(this mail id was different from the one provided by BD support team). I got two different mails suggesting two different solutions to my problem. As a non-technical person, I am confused what to do. I feel I am made to pay the price for using the official licensed copy of the software.

I would never buy Bitdefender product ever again!

This is a dragon that kills your system for sure, once installed. I bought this online after the reviews told a great story. I had used their earlier version and found good. Bitdefender antivirus plus 2012 turned out to be a disaster! There is no support for it except the forum. Even my registration was a real pain. After I installed this product, my browsing went so slow that it started timing out websites which used to be flash fast. I started suspecting BSNL. But I found that my laptop which had a different antivirus but less powerful was performing the best way. I tried some research and found out that it is Bitdefender who caught my desktop by its throat. I also noticed that my hard disk is running for its life! To make much more worst, my desktop shutdown automatically after 20 mins!

The issue: Investigation revealed that, the bitdefender filter confuses with your virtual adaptors and goes into a loop which eventually kills your browsing experience. The 'autoscan' scans your system so much that the hard disk activity and eventually your thermal protection system shuts your desktop!(I used to run my desktop 24/7 for weeks for my'experiments with technology'. Never shut down by itself!)

I tried to turn up to support. Realized that there is nothing like that, except forums where people howl and bark on this issue. no resolution except the blame game.

I decided to remove bitdefender. I used a professional uninstaller as I know antivirus needs real'removal tricks'. I cleaned my registry and restarted. Bingo! My home page appeared, as fast as it was! Suspect confirmed.

Moral of the story: Reputation and pricing can cheat! They need to do a lot of work before it could possibly be considered again.

Just try searching'bitdefender 2012 slows down internet' in the internet. You will be surprised! I am not sad, as I lost the money, but I am much happy that I am one among those unfortunate people who use Bitdefender.
