Travel tour to Leh with pathetic service by Yatra

I booked Leh Ladakh package from yatra.com for 8 nights 7 days starting from Mumbai.

  1. No air tickets, no property details were provided where we were going to stay in the entire tour

  2. We were not given any kind of list of things we should carry with us for the trip

  3. The yatra guys were not aware of whether we should have daimox medicine or not. Some said have it some said dont it was full mess.

  4. We had to keep calling on the customer care number and the worst part is if already booked option is chosen we have to wait for entire life, I kept on selecting new booking and the customer care member was unable to help us.

  5. We received a mail day before saying that the Leh property is changed from Lumbini to Naro. The accomodation was good but we paid for 3 start hotel that is Lumbini which was mentioned in the package and we stayed in Naro which is not 3star and the road from market to Naro were pathetic and no lights at night.

  6. From Airport to Naro we were provided Xylo which was extremely good but first day our visit was to Shanti Stupa for which we were ready on time but there was not Vehicle for us to take to shanti stupa. The car was arranged on time and the local guide kept on lying that there was traffic jam. We reached there late and hence did not have much time there. We meet our tour manager- Mithun at Shanti Stupa for the first time.

  7. While booking we were told that there will be 3-4 people in out vehicle and we will be given SUV. The Scorpio was pathetic, no shock ups and we were 7 people in the vehicle.(me, my husband, one family including one couple and their son approx 25 age, local guide and driver. The vehicle was loaded with luggage as well as we had to travel and night stay at Nubra Valley and Pangong.

  8. Every where we reached owing to which we had to have left over and cold food.

  9. Pangong Sarai was pathetic choice as it was too far to travel and it was a bad bumpy ride for us to travel in that scorpio with no shock ups.

  10. The disadvantage everywhere was that we reached late at every location because of which we had less time to enjoy at the sights than others in Xylo

  11. The local guide was not having much knowledge about the sight and did not guide with full information

  12. The tour manager Mithun was not worried about if we had any food or not. From Pangong we requested him to shift me and my husband to Xylo as I was having migraine but he was least bothered and was looking after his own comfort. Xylo in which he was travelling was occupied with only 2 girls and himself.

  13. No one guided us with how much luggage is allowed from Leh airport. The guide and tour manager no one was aware and were just giving vague information that camera should be inside the checkin bag because of which we packed the camera inside the check in bag and at airport they asked us to remove it from the bag.

  14. Last day from Naro hotel, Leh to airport we were not give information of which vehicle and which driver will come to pick us at hotel. Our flight was at 7am so the vehicle was supposed to come at 5. The tour manager just said that he will send someone.

Omni was send to pick up from Hotel to Leh Airport. The most hopeless thing was the driver asked us for money that is travel fare.


We asked him to call the person who has send him and take money, he refused and asked us to pay. We did not pay him and asked him to call the contact person who has send him. He then went away without notifying us what was the status.

  1. This experience has concluded that I will try not to book any travel from Yatra now onwards.
