My first ever email id created on the account of Yahoo. For all the college related projects, reports, excels we had created this email-id. I still remember back in the day, yahoo messenger was quite famous. People uses to chat via yahoo messenger as compared to today's Whatsapp or Fb messenger.
Now people moving to Google account, there are very few which uses yahoo email-ids, me being one of them.
YahooMail offers a proper distribution of mails, you can create folders and can also rule all the mails to that particular folder. It has different set of themes. The only issue I had was the advertisements. I used a blocker to block those ads which kept prompting every now and then. For any issue, the companies service answers your question. They often asks you for your feedback for better functionality.
