Garbage. Review on Writingforums

Writingforums.com is like any other such forum. Mostly composed of self publishing "authors" who think they have talent. Some do, most don't. But as they are all widely in the same league they just keep supporting each other with these poor examples of song writing, poetry, writing in general, etc. You really don't learn much of anything because they attempt to brow beat you into following these subpar versions of theirs.

I mean most people know what a haiku poem is. It is one of the "go-tos" when starting poetry. Most of these people on this forum, however, think a haiku is about people when a haiku is about nature. And kindly just don't ask me about their ideas of poetry - I have won poetry awards - and well most of their "examples" is like someone spewed vomit onto a page. Disjointed ramblings really that wouldn't even pass as free verse poetry.

I have been on this forum for a while. Really out of sheer boredom. And amusement. I do, after all, get a kick out of those with the larger number of posts who they think they have something of value to tell you. Shame how their mothers never once told them it is quality and not quantity that counts in this world. I won't, after all, bore you with the names of mods and other high-post members on that forum who seem to be incapable of comprehending basic English and go off on some utterly worthless tangent of theirs. One that that typically has nothing to do with the subject in question.

That is of course not including how a number of this high and mighty big mouthed multi-posters are rude. There's one mod there that is an "utter genius"(sarcasm) and another one who is more useless than a sack of rotten potatoes.

My suggestion - find a literature course or a writing group around you and join that. You'd be far better off than wasting time here.
