Wow, I stumbled upon this and was really surprised as I've been a member since May 2014 and the site I am a member of doesn't sound like this at all. Then I realized there is no, Robert running the show. So I asked around and found out that it is under new ownership/management since then.
I am a relatively new writer(started pursuing in 2014) and I joined about 5 different writing forums at the same time with one goal: get feedback on my writing!
I also did a quick post in the intro boards of several of them. I got an almost immediate response at writingforums.com.
An entire thread of posts from other members. It was amazing. I also got great feedback on posts of my first attempt at a romance story, even though romance was not the genre of most of the writers there. It was enough to keep me around, that's for sure. I try my best to give as many critiques back as I can now. Love it there! Highly recommend it.
