We purchased the following three Voltas inverter AC units under Invoice No. JP-5758/21-22 from your authorized dealer, Skan Maruti, 16 N.S. Road, Kolkata 700001:
At the time of purchase, we were clearly assured by the dealerand later experienced the same during a service callthat these units carried a 5-year warranty on the PCB and a 10-year warranty on the compressor. In fact, in 2024, the indoor PCB of the 1.5 Ton unit was replaced free of charge under warranty.
On 30th May 2025, one of the 2 Ton units developed a cooling issue, and we raised a service request(Docket No. SR25053013245). The visiting technician confirmed a fault in the indoor PCB and replaced it on-site, stating that it was covered under warranty. However, shortly afterward, we were informed that we would be required to pay ₹;6, 000 for the PCB.
When we reiterated that the product was still within the 5-year warranty period, we were abruptly told that the warranty is only applicable to domestic installations, not commercial premises. Despite our strong objection and insistence that the warranty had been clearly communicated to us at the time of purchase, the technician returned, uninstalled the newly fitted PCB, and took it back, citing non-approval due to commercial use.
