The V Guard voltage stabilizers are marketed through dealers and online shops on portals like eBay India and others. Cheap models are being sold which don't control output voltage to supply to your gadget like AC or washing machine, in chosen input voltage range of your electric supply.
For example VG400 a device called Voltage stabilizer does not function to control output voltage to 220V in normal range of 180V to 260V but actuates only beyond these values. Any voltage stabilizer should give fixed voltage in a narrow range at all input voltages. That is purpose of any voltage stabilizer -to supply regulated voltage around 220V AC.Hence such devices are useless, don't protect your machines and allow them to function.
Dealers to earn money hide facts and don't even mention output voltage range on their selling literature or on websites.Avoid such products as it is wastage. Always ask what is input voltage range and what is continuous output voltage range controlled by a stabilizer.WE advise all stabilizer manufacturers to mention out put voltage range on their stabilizers. If these don't control output voltage then these are not STABILIZERS.
Any good stabilizer should control output voltage in range 200-240 range then only your device will work properly. Also these have low and high voltage cut out features.
