The most interesting part of uber is that there is no option to select for complaining against cancellation by the driver, They don't have any customer service number and operate on a completely automated system.
Yesterday I booked a cab at 7.49 from Thane wset, Lodha Luxuria, Majiwada. The driver lost his way and reached a different Lodha. I was trying to guide him to my location when he asked me the destination. I informed him that I wanted to go to andheri east. When he heard the destination he told me that he thought that I wanted to go somewhere in Thane and that he did not have enough Gas and that he had just for a short distance. I waited for him but he did not arrive. I had to book another taxi from Ola and I travelled to Andheri. After that the Uber app showed a cancellation charge of Rs 60/=. I was very upset. I got delayed by 30 minutes because of the driver. I tried searching the customer care numbers and found that no customer care number existed.
My son wanted to book a cab and the app did not allow him to book the cab till he paid Rs 60. Since he was in a hurry he paid it.
Should I be charged for cancellation when the driver cancelled the fare?
I wanted to complain to Uber but Uber app does not have any option called cancellation by Driver so after hours of searching various options I went to cancelation charges. The app does not allow you to complain since I had not completed the ride. How do I explain all this in an app which is totally customer unfriendly in its options. I have at last made a complaint in a different option and asked for a refund and also asked for charging driver and paying me for inconvenience
